Here’s a preview of this weekend’s episode of “Ring of Honor Wrestling:”

ROH World Television Title Match: Champion “Hot Sauce” Tracy Williams vs. Tony Deppen

With three titles in its possession, The Foundation (Williams, Jay Lethal, Jonathan Gresham and Rhett Titus) is the top faction in ROH, and Williams is the company’s only current double champion (he’s also a co-holder of the ROH World Tag Team Title).

Deppen is looking to put his faction, Violence Unlimited, on the championship map by taking away one of The Foundation’s titles. VU (Deppen, Brody King, Homicide and Chris Dickinson) has already made a major impact in a short time by jumping head first into the faction warfare being waged by The Foundation and La Faccion Ingobernable (RUSH, Dragon Lee, Kenny King and Bestia del Ring).

This will be the first TV title defense for Williams, who won the championship from Kenny King (defending on behalf of the injured Lee) at 19th Anniversary last month). It will be the second TV title shot for Deppen, who came up just short against then-champion Lee at Final Battle in December. Deppen is coming off a victory over Kenny King.

Beyond the title and faction bragging rights, this match is personal for Deppen, who has wrestled Williams in the past on the independent scene.

“Since Day One of me coming to Ring of Honor, I had one person in mind that I wanted to wrestle, and that was ‘Hot Sauce,’” Deppen said. “We have a history together. When we wrestled you beat me into the ground. You hit me harder than I’ve ever been hit in my entire life. You’ve brought things out of me that I didn’t know I had in me. You’ve done it to me in places I consider my house. And now it’s payback.”

Williams told Deppen he can expect another beating.

“When we face off for the television championship it is going to be just like a couple years ago, Tony,” Williams said. “You’re going to feel like you’re back on the independents because you’re going to be back in the ring with me and I’m going to be whupping your ass again.”

Bandido vs. Flamita

To say Bandido and Flamita haven’t been on the same page would be an understatement. The MexiSquad members had a blowup at 19th Anniversary last month, and then Flamita walked out on Bandido during a tag match three weeks ago and proclaimed that MexiSquad was dead.

So is MexiSquad (Bandido, Flamita and Rey Horus) truly dead, at least as a trio?

Bandido is hopeful that isn’t the case. He wants to settle things with Flamita in the ring and then resume their partnership.

“I think this match is going to fix everything,” Bandido said. “Flamita, we’ve got to give everything we’ve got in the ring, and after that we will stay friends and brothers like always. I don’t know, but I am confident that’s what’s going to happen.”

Flamita did not reciprocate those feelings. He said he doesn’t care if he and Bandido repair their relationship.

“Bandido, you want to play with fire? Are you sure? Let’s play,” Flamita said.

The OGK (Matt Taven & Mike Bennett) vs. Beer City Bruiser & Ken Dixon

Bruiser unleashed his sadistic side back in January by smashing a beer bottle over Taven’s head and attacking Bennett’s injured ankle after he and Brawler Milonas lost a tag match to Taven and Bennett.

Since then, Bruiser has encouraged Milonas to join him on the dark side, but Milonas has refused. However, Bruiser found a like-minded individual in Dixon, a product of the ROH Dojo.

Dixon assaulted his fellow Dojo members last week, busting a beer bottle over Dante Caballero’s head and helping Bruiser attack Joe Keys and Eric Martin.

The newly formed duo of Bruiser and Dixon will be looking to make a huge first impression by knocking off former ROH World and IWGP Heavyweight tag team champions Taven and Bennett.

Taven and Bennett obviously want to exact revenge on Bruiser, but that’s not what they’re focused on. The OGK are currently ranked No. 3 in the tag team division and have their sights set on becoming ROH World Tag Team Champions again.
