Superstars react to WWE’s latest signings

February 11, 2019

The WWE Performance Center’s February class has arrived, and to say the newcomers have received a warm welcome would be putting it mildly. Since the news broke earlier today, several WWE and NXT Superstars have shared their excitement about the incoming recruits.

The IIconics took a break from singing their own praises to commend the signees, which include two fellow Aussies (Brendan Vink and Jermaine Haley). Billie Kay also shouted out two of the group’s most decorated ring veterans, Jeffrey Parker & Matt Lee, who’ve teamed for years throughout North America.

Meanwhile, Kevin Owens, who crossed paths with Parker and Lee on the Canadian independent scene, couldn’t help but draw attention to his fellow Quebecois’ expressions in a group photo posted on the WWE Performance Center Twitter account.

NXT’s Taynara Conti threw a spotlight on the arrival of Rachael Ellering. Both Conti and Ellering competed in the 2017 and 2018 editions of the Mae Young Classic.

No one knows better than NXT Superstars how life-changing it is to be signed to the WWE Performance Center. A tweet from Deonna Purrazzo, who joined the WWEPC ranks last July, indicated that The Virtuosa is as eager to share a locker room with Karen Yu as she is to battle her. Purrazzo and Yu were frequent rivals on the independent circuit.

Mia Yim, who joined in October, also welcomed the signees with open arms.

Even WWE Performance Center coach and former ECW Champion Steve Corino got in on the well-wishing, offering his congrats to “ACH” Albert Hardie Jr.
