It will be The Lucha Bros! vs. IMPACT World Champion Johnny IMPACT and his Homecoming opponent Brian Cage. Pentagon Jr. and Fenix face LAX at Homecoming for the World Tag Team Titles. Clearly all of these amazingly gifted athletes are looking to build momentum heading towards Nashville on January 6th and Homecoming.
The first question we have is can Brian Cage and Johnny IMPACT work as a team? If they weren’t facing each other for the World Championship at Homecoming, we might say yes. Remember these two have known each other for years, they have been friends and they both live on the west coast. They respect each other, however when they face off for the World Title, that all changes. Brian Cage wants to be World Champion and has that chance in Music City. So will Cage be ready to pounce if Johnny gets in trouble next Thursday? We are reluctant to think so. Johnny is a good guy for sure, but if LAX start rocking and rolling on Brian Cage, IMPACT will have a front row seat to see his Championship opponent catch a beatdown.
The Lucha Bros! have a chance to send a message to LAX with an impressive victory on IMPACT and head towards Homecoming trending in a positive and upward position. Pentagon Jr. and Fenix have their goal in mind and that is Tag Team Championship gold on Pay Per View with people watching from all over the world.
The final IMPACT before Homecoming is certainly a can’t miss show, the “go home” show as we call it and everyone will look to work out the plans they have for the first Pay Per View of 2019. This is a night that will be special for so many reasons, but after the good vibes fade away, who will be standing tall with Championship gold?
