Across the 16 and a half year history of IMPACT Wrestling there have been countless memorable matches and moments. Every week here on IMPACTWrestling.com we’ll take you on a trip down memory lane to revisit some of the anniversaries of them.
December 10 – Turning Point 2006 took place from Orlando as Samoa Joe defeated Kurt Angle in their hotly anticipated rematch while Abyss retained the NWA World Heavyweight Championship against Sting and Christian Cage.
In 2005 on IMPACT, the legendary Bobby “The Brain” Heenan made his debut as part of a presentation involving the Chicago White Sox.
December 11 – At Turning Point in 2005, Abyss and Sabu tore each other apart in Barbed Wire Massacre, Samoa Joe defeated AJ Styles for the X-Division Championship in an instant classic while Kanyon made his TNA debut, losing to Raven.
Final Resolution 2011 also took place on this day as Bobby Roode and AJ Styles wrestled to a 3-3 draw in a 30 Minute Iron Man Match, Gail Kim retained the Knockouts Championship against Mickie James and Jeff Hardy beat Jeff Jarrett in a Steel Cage match.
In 2002, on NWA-TNA PPV #25 Amazing Red bested AJ Styles in a thrilling contest.
December 14 – On IMPACT in 2017 a Hot Mess got her act together enough to win gold as Laurel Van Ness defeated Rosemary to win the Knockouts Championship left vacant by a retiring Gail Kim.
December 15 – IMPACT took a turn toward insanity in 2016 as we presented Total Nonstop Deletion, an event entirely broadcast from the Hardy Compound. It also featured the tag team Apocalypto match which featured ten teams brawling all over the Hardy Compound with the tag team titles on the line.
