Across the 16 and a half year history of IMPACT Wrestling there have been countless memorable matches and moments. Every week here on IMPACTWrestling.com we’ll take you on a trip down memory lane to revisit some of the anniversaries of them.
December 4 – The legendary “Rowdy” Roddy Piper made his IMPACT debut in 2002 at The Asylum! Iconic manager Percy Pringle aka Paul Bearer also debuted at the end of that event.
December 5 – Turning Point took place in 2005 and featured the final match of the storied career of “Macho Man” Randy Savage as he teamed with AJ Styles and Jeff Hardy to face The Kings of Wrestling plus Triple X battled AMW in their iconic Six Sides of Steel as Elix Skipper walked the steel cage. Diamond Dallas Page made his in ring debut as he defeated Raven.
In 2010 at the Final Resolution PPV The Motor City Machine Guns defeated Generation Me in a Full Metal Mayhem match while Doug Williams captured the Television Championship from AJ Styles.
December 7 – The Final Resolution PPV took place in 2008 as the Main Event Mafia defeated The TNA Front Line in a unique 8 man tag team match where the World Championship was on the line. Eric Young also won the X-Division Championship from Sheik Abdul Bashir in controversial fashion.
December 8 – EC3 challenged Eddie Edwards for the IMPACT World Championship on IMPACT in 2016 but Edwards successfully retained.
December 9 – Final Resolution 2012 featured the final IMPACT match between AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels as Daniels defeated his long time rival Styles. Jeff Hardy retained the IMPACT World Championship against Bobby Roode in the main event.
