The OGK (Matt Taven and Mike Bennett) have been on a mission to become ROH World Tag Team Champions again ever since they got back together at the end of last year.
Now OGK has even more incentive to dethrone champions Dragon Lee and Kenny King of La Faccion Ingobernable when the teams square off with the title on the line at Honor For All, an HonorClub exclusive, on Sunday, Nov. 14.
On the latest episode of ROH Week By Week, King scored a tainted victory over Bennett in a singles match, and then Lee defeated Taven by dubious means in a subsequent singles encounter. There was outside interference by LFI in both bouts.
Taven and Bennett, who held the ROH World Tag Team Title for several months in 2015 and also held the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Title that year, are 5-1 in their current run. Their two most recent wins were over MexiSquad (ROH World Champion Bandido and Rey Horus) and 11-time former ROH World Tag Team Champions Jay and Mark Briscoe.
OGK’s lone loss was to then-ROH World Tag Team Champions Tracy Williams and Rhett Titus in May. Taven wrestled that match on an injured ankle.
Lee, who also holds the ROH World Television Title, and King are 5-0 as a tag team in matches decided by pinfall or submission, including 3-0 in title bouts.
Will OGK be crowned the new champions at Honor For All? Or will Lee and King’s remorseless reign continue?
