ROH TV Preview: It’s All About Purification When The Foundation And Righteous Meet In Six-Man Tag Match

November 10, 2021

Here’s a preview of this weekend’s episode of “Ring of Honor Wrestling:”

The Foundation (Jonathan Gresham, Tracy Williams & Rhett Titus) vs. The Righteous (Vincent, Bateman & Dutch)

Since its inception, The Foundation has been on a crusade to purify ROH. Over the past couple months, The Righteous also has been obsessed with purification.

Righteous leader Vincent and his followers have been wearing all white to symbolize that they have been cleansed and purified.

“I’ve left the stream of blood beneath me of the past to be cleansed,” Vincent said. “Every blood drop that I’ve shed has purified my soul, man. Pain is necessary for purification. Dig what I’m sayin?”

On a recent episode of Ring of Honor Wrestling, The Righteous involved themselves in The Foundation’s business.

During a match between The Foundation’s Jay Lethal and Violence Unlimited’s Homicide, The Righteous’ Dutch prevented Tony Deppen from interfering on Homicide’s behalf, which allowed Lethal to pick up the victory.

Afterward, Vincent, Dutch, Bateman and Vita Von Starr stood on the stage and applauded Lethal, who understandably was confused by The Righteous’ actions.

Does The Righteous truly have pure intentions? Or is Vincent playing mind games?

The Foundation believes it’s the latter.

“The Righteous. Your name was already a joke, “Williams said. “And now you’re parading around in all white calling yourself pure, preaching purity. It’s a joke. But we’re not laughing.

“You want to be pure? Show us what pure is. Because we’ll be damn sure showing you what pure wrestling is.”

The OGK (Matt Taven & Mike Bennett) vs. Flip Gordon & PJ Black

The OGK are the No. 1 contenders for the ROH World Tag Team Title and will get their shot at champions Dragon Lee and Kenny King at Honor For All this Sunday exclusively on HonorClub.

But first, OGK will take on Gordon and Black, who formed a peculiar alliance a few months ago.

Since being on the receiving end of a Jay Driller by Mark Briscoe in August, Gordon has been suffering from retrograde amnesia and thinks it’s 2018. Black, who refers to himself as a doctor, has been working with Gordon in an effort to study, treat and rehabilitate him.

Regardless of what’s going on in Gordon’s head, he and Black are world class wrestlers capable of beating anyone. Taven and Bennett have been on a roll, but if they look past this match, they very well could head into their title bout with a loss.

Caprice Coleman vs. Beer City Bruiser

Bruiser feels he was robbed at the Honor Rumble in September because he was eliminated by Coleman, who was not originally scheduled to be in the match.

An irate Bruiser, with his cohorts Brian Milonas and Ken Dixon by his side, has taken out his frustration by repeatedly bullying Ian Riccaboni, Coleman’s partner on commentary.

Things escalated on this past weekend’s episode of Ring of Honor Wrestling, as a heated verbal exchange between Bruiser and Coleman led to a shoving match. Now they’ll settle it inside the ring.

The match pits one of the toughest brawlers in pro wrestling in Bruiser against one of the fittest athletes in the sport in Coleman.
