Fired former WWE NXT UK performer Travis Banks made an in ring return in Mexico for Bandido’s trainee’s promotion “Big Lucha”. Banks was fired from WWE NXT UK during the speaking out movement after current NXT UK superstar Emila McKenzie formerly Millie McKenzie came forward with a harrowing story of physical and mental abuse she suffered at the hands of Travis Banks whilst a trainee under his care. It was even reported that McKenzie had not singed earlier with NXT UK after making appearances for promotions early shows, due to Travis Banks.
Banks made an appearance for the Big Lucha promotion in a Battle Royal working alongside some of the trainees from Big Lucha wrestling school ran by current ROH champion Bandido. Banks who was released from NXT UK in June 2020 alongside other wrestlers named during the speaking out movement including Ligero and Jack Gallagher among others. Banks was also suspended and later told he would never be able to return to British independent promotions such as Progress along side other wrestlers such as David Star.
