The Royal Rumble is around the corner, and it’s usually around this time the creative team starts preparing for it. The show is usually an important one as it kicks off many things on the build to WrestleMania. So what do they have for the show so far?
The answer is not looking good right now.
Ringside News has learned that “Vince [McMahon] is way behind” when it comes to making plans creatively for the show. It’s said many things are at fault for this, but one specifically mentioned was “the void of leadership at the top, namely Bruce [Prichard].” This is a major factor over Rumble plans not even getting off the ground.
They spoke with a tenured member of the creative team that told them they haven’t even started booking the card, the match, or even potential winners, having it reiterated how behind everyone is.
There isn’t a lot of time left to even begin a build toward the Royal Rumble, so plans will need to come together quickly to make the first stop on the road to WrestleMania a smooth one.
