Ever since the April 26th episode of IMPACT, a dark cloud has spread over the IMPACT Zone. A series of mystery attacks has put everybody on edge – it started with IMPACT production staff and ramped up to people like Jimmy Jacobs, Sonjay Dutt and Joseph Park being assaulted. But one question has lingered, who is responsible for these attacks? Let’s try and answer that question.
Petey Williams
The first, and seemingly most obvious, candidate is Petey Williams. Two weeks ago Petey Williams was found standing over a prone Sonjay Dutt, just after an attack took place. While Petey did show concern for his longtime friend, he also demanded the cameras stop filming him. Certainly suspicious behavior, so much so that it seems to have driven a rift between Petey and Sonjay. Was Petey just in the wrong place at the wrong time? Or is there something more sinister going on with the former two time X-Division Champion?
Grado
Okay, you might laugh at the idea that fun loving Grado is behind these attacks but think about it – Grado returned the exact same week these attacks started taking place. And look at who has been attacked – Joseph Park, who while currently seemingly on good terms with Grado certainly mistreated Grado for much of last year. Is this revenge? Not to mention Jimmy Jacobs was attacked just weeks after having a dispute with Grado. Is there more to the Katarina and Grado’s relationship than meets the eye? It might be easy to laugh off any potential Grado involvement but maybe that’s exactly what he’s counting on.
Dezmond Xavier
This might seem like a stretch. What does Dezmond Xavier have to do with any of this? There is one major link between Xavier and these attacks. The only clue we have as to who is behind these attacks is a calling card left behind – a black “X” with a red background. Take a look at Xavier’s trunks in the photo above, look familiar? Now while this may be purely circumstantial, that X does bear a remarkable resemblance to the “X” we’ve seen at the attacks.
Somebody Already Attacked
If you thought somebody was getting too close, somebody was onto you – how would you throw them off the scent? Maybe you’d stage your own attack. Remember we’ve never seen any of these backstage assaults in progress, just the aftermath. So would you put it past somebody as cerebral as say, Jimmy Jacobs, to play victim so people no longer look in his direction? It’s the perfect strategy to hide in plain sight.

Longtime IMPACT viewers will remember Rellik (that’s killer spelled backwards) as an associate of Black Reign in 2007 and 2008. While it may seem a long shot, his name is killer spelled backwards (just in case you didn’t know) though we haven’t seen Rellik in quite some time.
Somebody Not On The IMPACT Roster
This is the scariest thought. If it’s Petey Williams, or Grado, or Sami Callihan, or Abyss or anybody on the IMPACT roster – at least we know who they are and what they might want. The unknown is a great deal more troubling. If it’s somebody not on the current roster we could be in store for anything.
Clearly this person has chosen to remain in the shadows for the last two months for a reason. Who are they? What do they want? And what destruction will they release on IMPACT when they eventually reveal themselves? What if they never do unveil their identity? What if they keep attacking people from the shadows? All these questions are exactly what they want though. Fear, panic, paranoia.
We don’t even know who is responsible for these attacks and they already have the edge on everybody else.
