After Finn won the IC Title, Bobby Lashley turned on Rush and laid him out. Lashley appeared at Baron Corbin’s side later on in the event, but Lio Rush wasn’t there.
Dave Meltzer explained during Wrestling Observer Radio why WWE made a decision to break Bobby and his hypeman up.
“I think the deal is because obviously because it looked like he turned, but it’s very clear that he didn’t because he did that run-in later with Baron Corbin and Drew McIntyre that those three guys are going to be a heel group.”
The idea being Lashley has no need for Rush since he will be a heel stable now. So Rush might just go back to 205 Live.
