SmackDown will be live on Fox tonight, but today looks like it will be a long day for members of the blue brand.
A report by Ringside News says that WWE is using some of the SmackDown creative team for today’s taping of the Superstar Spectacle. Taping for that began around 9:30a today and will be a two hour event before WWE has to reset the Thunderdome and prepare for tonight’s SmackDown. Some talents from SmackDown will be used on the Superstar Spectacle as well.
Rey Mysterio, Charlotte Flair, AJ Styles, Bayley, The New Day, Shinsuke Nakamura, Cesaro, Dolph Ziggler, Robert Roode, and Ricochet, along with Ric Flair will also be a part of the special. They will also be making use of Jinder Mahal, in addition to several recruits from the WWE PC from India.
WWE had a long day when filming Tribute to the Troops, similar to today, so hopefully the blue brand is prepared for a day like this.
