Earlier this week all WWE employees received a message, that was a part of a mass message that the company had sent out to all employees informing them that prior to every event covid testing will be done. With an uptick in covid cases and a surge in the delta variant, it seems like WWE may be ramping up precautions.
Ringside News is reporting that all staff and talent backstage, must be tested prior to every event with no exceptions. It is being reported that WWE Head of Talent Relations John Lauranites was the one to deliver the message to everyone . With the company just hitting the road again and already dealing with some talent testing positive in the past few weeks notable Jeff Hardey there are taking no chances.
Per WWE Head Of Talent Relations John Lauranites:
“Effective immediately and until further notice, Covid testing will resume at every TV and event. More details coming soon.“
WWE is scheduled to be in Las Vegas on August 21 for its biggest show of the summer, SummerSlam.Mask Mandates have already been issued for Clark County in Nevada where the show is being held. With only a week away we will have to see how things play out.
