WWE’s Day One New Year’s Show Not Selling As Well As Expected

October 22, 2021

It was announced in September that WWE would not be holding any shows in the month of December due to the company holding its Day One New Years’ show but it’s looking like the ticket sales are not going as well as expected.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that ticket sales for WWE’s Day One event have not sold very well at all.

The Day One PPV from Atlanta on 1/1 is at 3,660

The State Farm Arena has a listed capacity of over 21,000. The fact that WWE hasn’t even sold 4,000 tickets at this point might be a bit concerning. To be fair, WWE hasn’t even announced a single match for the event yet, so tickets might start moving quicker once a card starts coming out.

WWE could also reduce ticket prices or introduce a package deal price. If anything, this could be another event where they break out the tarps and move everyone to one side of the building to give off the illusion of a packed house, Only time will tell how the show will work out.
