During Tuesday night’s edition of NXT, an angle was shot involving former tag champion Zoey Stark, who we are told is legitimately injured. Early in the episode, Gigi Dolin and Jacey Jayne attacked Stark in the locker room in Stark’s lone appearance on the show. The angle saw Stark laying on the ground in the locker room while holding her left knee.
Moments later, Stark’s tag partner Io Shirai confronted Mandy Rose and was later assisted by Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter with Toxic Attraction.
According to POST Wrestling, the reason for the angle is because Zoey is legitimately injured. Sources say that internally, it is known that she’s hurt. The severity of the injury is not known.
Zoey Stark and Io Shirai dropped the NXT Women’s Tag Team championships to Dolin and Jayne at Halloween Havoc. The teams competed in a violent Scareway to Hell Ladder match that saw Shirai take an ugly bump at the end. Indi Hartwell and Persia Pirotta also competed in the match.
It is unknown how long the injury will keep Stark out of action for but we here at Bodyslam.net send well wishes for a speedy recovery and we hope to see Zoey back in the ring as soon as possible.
