The NFL is officially bringing the biggest event in American sports to Music City. The league announced Tuesday that Nashville will host Super Bowl LXIV in 2030 at the city’s new Nissan Stadium, marking the first time Tennessee’s capital will host a Super Bowl.

The decision was finalized during the NFL Spring League Meeting in Orlando following a vote by NFL ownership and a review from the league’s Fan Engagement & Major Events Committee.

For Nashville, this is more than just another marquee sporting event landing in a booming entertainment city. It represents the continued transformation of Music City into one of the NFL’s premier destinations for major national events after years of explosive tourism growth, cultural expansion, and successful large-scale productions.

“The 2019 NFL Draft in Nashville was one of the greatest fan events in our history,” NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said in the announcement. “Super Bowl LXIV at the new stadium is the next step in this remarkable football journey.”

Goodell specifically credited Tennessee Titans controlling owner Amy Adams Strunk, the Titans organization, and Nashville’s tourism leadership for helping secure the historic bid. <!– STADIUM IMAGE HERE –>

Nashville previously proved its ability to host massive football events during the 2019 NFL Draft, which drew roughly 600,000 fans across the weekend and generated an estimated $224 million in economic impact. The city’s downtown atmosphere, live music culture, nightlife, and walkable entertainment district helped turn that Draft into one of the league’s most celebrated fan events in recent memory.

Now, the NFL is betting even bigger on the city.

“Hosting the Super Bowl is a defining moment for Nashville and Tennessee,” said Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp. President and CEO Deana Ivey. “This event is an incredible opportunity to showcase the dynamic and creative character of Nashville to a global audience and to deliver a Super Bowl experience that is distinctly Music City.”

The new Nissan Stadium, currently under construction, will serve as the centerpiece of the event. The venue is expected to dramatically modernize the Titans’ home experience while positioning Nashville as a long-term destination for global sports and entertainment events.

Beyond the game itself, Super Bowl week will bring several of the NFL’s largest activations to the city, including:

  • NFL Honors
  • Super Bowl Experience
  • Super Bowl Opening Night
  • Community outreach initiatives
  • NFL Source procurement programming supporting local and underrepresented businesses

For Nashville, the announcement also continues the city’s evolution into one of America’s most culturally influential event hubs. Over the last decade, the city has increasingly become a destination not only for country music, but also sports, entertainment, nightlife, festivals, and large-scale tourism experiences.

And honestly, the fit makes sense.

Few cities can naturally combine live music, celebrity culture, sports fandom, hospitality, and tourism energy the way Nashville can during a major event weekend. The NFL clearly sees the potential for the city to deliver one of the most unique Super Bowl atmospheres the league has staged in years.

“We cannot wait for our community to experience an event of this magnitude and for the world to see the energy, hospitality, and culture that make our city so special on a global stage,” Amy Adams Strunk said. <

The announcement also immediately opens the door for fans to begin planning ahead. On Location, the NFL’s official hospitality partner, launched its Priority Access deposit program for Super Bowl LXIV hospitality packages, offering early access to premium seating, exclusive experiences, entertainment, and VIP hospitality opportunities.

Super Bowl LXIV will take place in 2030 at Nashville’s new Nissan Stadium.
