STARZ is preparing for one last dance at The Pynk.
The network has announced that P-Valley will return for its third and final season with a two-episode premiere on Friday, December 4, streaming on the STARZ app and all STARZ streaming and on-demand platforms. New episodes will then debut weekly on Fridays.
Alongside the premiere announcement, STARZ released the first teaser trailer for the final season, bringing viewers back to Chucalissa and the dazzling, dangerous world of The Pynk, where Uncle Clifford and her chosen framily continue fighting to survive, thrive, and protect the future they have built.
The Final Chapter Begins at The Pynk
Created by Pulitzer Prize winner Katori Hall, P-Valley has always been more than a drama about a strip club. It is a Delta noir story about power, family, survival, desire, money, ambition, and the people pushed to the edges who still find ways to command the center.
Season 3 will consist of nine episodes, with the first two episodes directed by Hall. The final season picks up as the newly opened Promised Land Casino floods Chucalissa with new money and even more chaos. In true P-Valley fashion, more opportunity also means more danger, more temptation, and more people willing to gamble with their souls for a bigger piece of the bag.
At The Pynk, Uncle Clifford, played by Nicco Annan, dreams of expanding her empire. Roulette, played by Gail Bean, begins building her own, even if that means breaking one of the club’s cardinal rules. Lil’ Murda, played by J. Alphonse Nicholson, faces threats tied to his gang connections, while Keyshawn, played by Shannon Thornton, fights to break free from the cage around her life.
The house may be playing with weighted dice, but in Chucalissa, the hustle always finds a way.
Katori Hall Says Goodbye on Her Own Terms
To mark the announcement, Hall shared a letter directly to fans, the Pynk Posse, reflecting on the long journey of P-Valley from stage to screen.
Hall began writing the story in 2009 after researching the lives of more than 40 dancers. What started as the play Pussy Valley eventually became the STARZ series that premiered in 2020 and grew into one of the network’s defining originals.
In her message, Hall called the chance to end the series on her own terms “the rarest honor a showrunner can have in today’s industry,” adding that she chose to close the story with grace, grit, and glitter.
That farewell tone matters because P-Valley has never moved like a disposable TV drama. It has always carried the weight of a world that felt lived in, complicated, and deeply specific. Hall described the series as her rumination on “The American Dream,” a 27-chapter visual novel centered on “the majestic and the marginalized.”
For fans, that means Season 3 is not simply being framed as an ending. It is being framed as a last call with purpose.
STARZ Celebrates P-Valley’s Bold Legacy
STARZ also emphasized the impact the series has had on the network and its audience.
Kathryn Busby, President of Original Programming for STARZ, said P-Valley has been embraced by critics and fans because of its “courageously bold, powerfully provocative, and deeply inclusive storytelling.” She also praised Hall and the cast and crew for building the world of Chucalissa and crafting what the network describes as a cinematic final chapter that is emotionally layered, wildly entertaining, and unapologetically boundary-pushing.
That language fits the show’s legacy. P-Valley has always been bold in how it centers Black, queer, femme, Southern, working-class, and underrepresented stories without sanding down their edges. Its world is glamorous, gritty, funny, sensual, painful, political, musical, and deeply human, often all at once.
Lil’ Murda Debuts New Music in the Teaser
The teaser also features a brand-new single from Lil’ Murda titled “Homegrown,” featuring FendiDaRappa. The track will be released soon on streaming platforms.
Music has always been part of P-Valley’s pulse, especially through Lil’ Murda’s journey. Bringing new music into the teaser helps set the tone for a final season where the Promised Land Casino threatens to reshape Chucalissa, while The Pynk and the people inside it fight to hold onto their identities, their futures, and their power.
The Cast Returns for Season 3
The returning cast includes Nicco Annan as Uncle Clifford, Brandee Evans as Mercedes, Shannon Thornton as Keyshawn, J. Alphonse Nicholson as Lil’ Murda, Harriett D. Foy as Mayor Woodbine, Dan J. Johnson as Corbin, Gail Bean as Roulette, Psalms Salazar as Whisper, Morocco Omari as Big L, Dominic DeVore as Duffy, Jordan M. Cox as Derrick, Thomas Q. Jones as Mane, Bertram Williams Jr. as Woddy, Mea Wilkerson as Haiku, and Loretta Devine as Ernestine.
Based on Hall’s play Pussy Valley, the series is produced by Lionsgate Television for STARZ. Hall serves as creator, showrunner, and executive producer, with Jennifer Arnold, Debbie Hayn-Cass, Kemiyondo Coutinho, and Ian Olympio serving as co-executive producers.
P-Valley Takes Its Final Bow
Since its debut, P-Valley has become one of STARZ’s most important originals. According to the network, Season 2 averaged 11.6 million multiplatform viewers across linear, VOD, and streaming, and the series has generated more than 236 million hours watched since launching in 2020.
That kind of response speaks to the show’s connection with its audience. P-Valley built a world that felt like nobody else’s, then invited viewers into a space full of spectacle, pain, humor, community, and survival.
Now, the lights are coming down for last call at The Pynk, but STARZ is making it clear the party is not over yet.
