A surprisingly diverse movement. It’s the 5th anniversary of the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol and we chatted with filmmaker Michael Premo about his documentary, “Homegrown,” a disquieting look at Jan. 6 insurrectionists and Proud Boys. The current conservative movement is a lot more diverse than one would expect. Premo believes these “Patriots” of color see this as a path to power, as a way to achieve the American Dream, in a way leftists do not seek.
