Eck’s Files; Quinn McKay Learns Painful Lesson About Provoking Angelina Love; Final Battle Announcement Imminent; EC3 Returns To TV This Weekend

It’s time for Quinn McKay to get a new pair of glasses, and not only because her old ones were likely destroyed when Angelina Love attacked her on this week’s episode of “ROH Week By Week.”

The reality is that McKay should’ve seen it coming.

McKay has been engaged in a war of words with Love for months, and Love warned the popular ROH host on several occasions to keep her name out of her mouth or there would be dire consequences.

Four months ago, I wrote that McKay should heed Love’s warning. McKay responded on social media by telling me to mind my own business.

I admire McKay’s spunk, but Love clearly shares Lou Grant’s opinion of the trait.

Fortunately, McKay did not suffer any major injuries as a result of the assault, only some contusions (in addition to a bruised ego).

I commend ROH management for taking immediate action by indefinitely suspending and fining Love and fellow Allure member Mandy Leon, who assisted Love in the attack.

I think it’ll be a long time before we see The Allure in ROH again. That’s not good for the quality of the women’s division, but it’s definitely good for McKay’s health.

Expect an announcement early next week regarding the Final Battle pay-per-view.

Final Battle has been ROH’s biggest annual show since the company’s inception in 2002.

EC3 returns to ROH TV this weekend. He’ll sit in on commentary for the match between the Briscoes and The Soldiers of Savagery.

EC3 made his ROH in-ring debut on “Ring of Honor Wrestling” two weeks ago, when he and the Briscoes lost to Shane Taylor and SOS in a six-man tag match.

Headlining this weekend’s episode is a match between Taylor and Kenny King, two men who have a lot of history together.

To participate in the weekly ROH watch party, use #WatchROH and view the episode on ROHWrestling.com or FITE on Monday at 7 p.m. ET.

Speaking of Kenny King, he announced this week that he will be pursuing legal action regarding his loss by judges’ decision to Josh Woods in the first round of the ROH Pure Title Tournament.

I admit the decision was controversial, but King should accept it and move on. No one likes a sore loser.

The Bouncers (Beer City Bruiser and Brawler Milonas) are my guests on the latest episode of “The ROHStrong Podcast,” which drops Monday at 7 a.m. ET on ROHWrestling.com and most podcast platforms.

They discuss their long journeys to ROH and overcoming the stigma of their body type; being trained by wrestling legends Harley Race and Killer Kowalski; the person in ROH who was instrumental in them becoming a tag team; Milonas working with John Cena and Vince McMahon on an indy show; and much more.

Two former WCW stars are scheduled for the following week’s podcast.

ICYMI: Gary Juster shares his favorite stories about Ric Flair on this week’s episode of “Old School In Session” on YouTube.

On next week’s show, which drops on Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET, Juster shares his memories of Bobby “The Brain” Heenan and “Mean” Gene Okerlund.

The next installment of Word of Honor, an occasional series of first-person articles written by ROH talent for ROHWrestling.com, will be authored by Future of Honor’s Sledge.

In the article, Sledge opens up about his battle with alcohol and drug addiction and his long journey to ROH. Look for it next week.

Until next time, keep safe and stay #ROHStrong!
