Ever since Best in the World last month, ROH World Television Champion Dragon Lee has been conflicted between his loyalty to his family and loyalty to his friend.

Lee’s internal struggle will be on display at Glory By Honor Night 2 on Saturday at Philadelphia’s 2300 Arena when he teams with his brother, RUSH, to take on his friend, Bandido, and Rey Horus.

At Best in the World, Lee watched Bandido defeat RUSH for the ROH World Championship. After the match, RUSH called for his fellow La Faccion Ingobernable members — Lee, their father, Bestia del Ring, and Kenny King — to come to the ring and attack Bandido.

RUSH, Bestia and King ganged up on the new champion, but Lee did not lay a hand on him and clearly was distressed by the situation.

On last weekend’s episode of Ring of Honor Wrestling, Bandido and Lee were on the same side and worked well together in the Champions vs. All-Stars eight-man tag match.

In describing his relationship with Lee, Bandido said that you don’t have to be related by blood to be family. When Lee ultimately has to choose a side, will he see it that way?

We’re just hours away from Glory By Honor Night 1 in Philadelphia. Tonight’s show features two championship matches, as Bandido makes his first ROH World Title defense against Flip Gordon, and Jonathan Gresham puts the ROH Pure Title on the line against fellow Foundation member Rhett Titus.

The Last Stand, which pits bitter enemies Matt Taven and Vincent against each other inside a steel cage, headlines Night 2. If Vincent wins, he gets Taven’s ROH World Title shot.

I have no doubt this showdown between the two former friends will be a violent spectacle, and what better place for it to happen than the 2300 Arena? No matter who gets their hand raised in the end, I don’t think either man will ever be the same.

Both nights of Glory By Honor will stream live for HonorClub. A limited number of tickets are still available.

Brody King has recovered from his recent bout with COVID-19 and will be in action at both Glory By Honor shows.

During an appearance on “The Wrestling Inc. Daily” podcast earlier this week, King said he had contracted the coronavirus despite being fully vaccinated.

“I just had a really bad head cold, and I feel like you just can’t assume anything anymore,” King said. “You can’t be like, ‘Oh, it must be allergies or a cold. I went and got tested, and I tested positive and I quarantined in my basement for a week. Thankfully, my children and my wife have continued to test negative.

“When you see that positive outcome, it’s not a fun feeling. I just hope that being vaccinated would help my case, and I feel like it did. I know that a lot of other people have had severely worse situations. Personally, I’ve had a friend that passed away a few weeks ago from COVID. I’m still here. Recently, on Sunday, I tested negative, so I guess we’re out of the worst of it.”

Violence Unlimited (Brody King, Tony Deppen, Chris Dickinson and Homicide) faces LFI (RUSH, Lee, Kenny King and Bestia) on Night 1, and takes on The Foundation (Jay Lethal, Gresham, Titus and Tracy Williams) on Night 2.

Chelsea Green will appear on both Glory By Honor shows. On Night 1, she’ll join the commentary team for the match between The Allure (Angelina Love and Mandy Leon) and Vita VonStarr and a mystery partner. On Night 2, Green makes her much-anticipated ROH in-ring debut, as she teams with Willow to face Rok-C and Miranda Alize.

There will be matches filmed for Women’s Division Wednesday both nights at the 2300 Arena before Glory By Honor goes live on HonorClub. Be there in person to see them first!

In last week’s Eck’s Files, I wrote that some talented wrestlers who were recently released from another organization could be appearing at the Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view on Sept. 12 in Philadelphia.

Now I can report that two wrestlers who fit that description will indeed face each other on that show. Expect an announcement within the next couple weeks.

“The Afro-Punk” Trish Adora was my guest on the latest episode of the ROHStrong Podcast, which drops Monday morning on ROHWrestling.com and most podcast platforms.

Adora talked about wanting to become the first black ROH Women’s World Champion; wanting to win the title for her mother, who is battling cancer; spending all her money to join the ROH Combine a few years ago; having to grow up fast while living in Southeast D.C.; winning the Pan-Afrikan World Diaspora Title and what it represents; training at the Team 3D Academy and with Gresham, World Famous CB and Sumie Sakai, and much more.

Adora will face Allysin Kay in an ROH Women’s World Title Tournament quarterfinal match on ROH TV the weekend of Aug. 28. Also on that episode, Max The Impaler meets Love in a quarterfinal match, and Eli Isom challenges Lee for the ROH World Television Title.

As first announced on ROH Week By Week, LFI will challenge for the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Title at Death Before Dishonor.

LFI will meet the winner of the match between defending champions Shane Taylor Promotions (Shane Taylor and Soldiers of Savagery’s Moses and Kaun) and Incoherence (Delirious, Hallowicked and Frightmare) at Glory By Honor Night 2.

This weekend’s episode of Ring of Honor Wrestling is headlined by a no-disqualification match between Horus and Demonic Flamita. In ROH Women’s World Title Tournament quarterfinal action, Rok-C meets Quinn McKay, and Nicole Savoy squares off with Alize.

The Bouncers (Beer City Bruiser and Brian Milonas) will take on Joe Keys and Eric Martin from the ROH Dojo on the next ROH Week By Week, which premieres on Tuesday at 1 p.m. Eastern on YouTube.

Milonas is coming off a victory over Keys in a Pure Rules Match. Yes, you read that correctly.
