IMPACT kicked off this past week with Austin Aries declaring himself the best professional wrestler on the planet. You would be hard pressed to disagree after Aries retained his Championship against Moose at Slammiversary. However, Aries Championship Address was quickly interrupted by Eddie Edwards who now seems obsessed with the World Title.
The Main Event was for the X-Division Championship of the World and was a Slammiversary rematch. Brian Cage won the title at Slammiversary and Matt Sydal was looking to regain the title later in the same week. Would Cage be able to beat Sydal twice? Could Matt Sydal recapture the title? In the end, Brian Cage was able to defeat Matt Sydal for the second time in the same week.
In a match that was close to a Slammiversary rematch, Petey Williams clashed with Taiji Ishimori. Both men were involved in the International 4 Way at Slammiversary. The outcome was a victory for Ishimori, but both men were attacked by the Desi Hit Squad!
How about the debut of Scarlett Bordeaux! In this instance, a picture says a thousands words.
The Knockouts were also in action on IMPACT as Tessa Blanchard picked up a victory against Rebel in Toronto.
Johnny IMPACT returned to Thursday nights and the Mayor of Slamtown picked up another win and this one was over 3x X-Division Champion Trevor Lee.
