Tracy Williams, Taylor Rust Square Off For First Time Since Pure Title Tournament At Honor For All

November 12, 2021

Taylor Rust made an impressive showing in his ROH debut last year in the Pure Title Tournament, but he ultimately came up short in his first round match against Tracy Williams.

Rust said the main reason he’s back in ROH is to defeat Williams, who Rust referred to as “the man who showed me what Ring of Honor is all about.”

Rust will get his opportunity when he and Williams meet again in a Pure Rules Match at Honor For All, an HonorClub exclusive, on Sunday, Nov. 14.

Williams, a former ROH World Television Champion, is 7-1 in Pure Rules matches, with his only loss coming to fellow Foundation member Jonathan Gresham in the Pure Title Tournament final.

Rust made his return to ROH at Death Before Dishonor in September with a victory over Jake Atlas.

Can Rust knock off one of the best Pure wrestlers in the sport? Or will Williams again prove to be the better man?
