Update On Zelina Vega’s No Compete Clause

February 8, 2021

Zelina Vega’s WWE release came surrounded with controversy. Her release officially was listed as “breach of contract,” but many people know it was due to her refusal to sign over her Twitch channel, as she wanted to continue streaming. Around that time, she also opened up an OnlyFans page, which probably didn’t help matters. Even her saying she supported unionization probably didn’t help much matters, but she’s got a new future to look forward to starting this week.

Vega’s 90-day no compete clause is set to expire this week, and according to Fightful Select, Vega (who is now back to going by her real name, Thea Trinidad), isn’t diving headfirst back into wrestling. Not for a lack of enthusiasm on her part, but their report states they “have not heard of any companies specifically expressing interest in signing her.”

Obviously, it doesn’t mean there’s no interest out there or that she will remain unsigned, but no company has reached out to bring her in yet. While many regard her as being a talented performer and a great talker, it’s unsure if anyone is interested in bringing her in at this time.

Meanwhile, Trinidad remains active on her Twitch stream and might still be working on learning if there’s a way to help unionize professional wrestlers.
