With so many eyes looking towards Wembley and ALL IN: LONDON, All Elite Wrestling comes to the Yuengling Center in Tampa, FL this Wednesday night for the landmark 200th edition of DYNAMITE! The foundation built since the October 2, 2019 premiere has been so strong, and AEW will continue to build upon it for the next 200 episodes and beyond, especially with a line-up like this week’s! The ROH World Tag Team Championship will be at stake when the newly crowned Aussie Open of Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis will take on Lucha sensations Komander and AAA Mega Champion El Hijo Del Vikingo, plus the AEW Women’s World Championship will be at stake when Toni Storm meets Hikaru Shida in their first singles match! In addition, three of AEW’s prominent factions will be represented in an Anything Goes Three Way fight, FTW Champ Jack Perry will be face-to-face with Jerry Lynn, and Chris Jericho will team with Konsuke Takeshita to fight his own J.A.S. running buddies Daniel Garcia and Sammy Guevara!

AEW WOMEN’S WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH…

Toni Storm(c) vs. Hikaru Shida

https://www.youtube.com/embed/0Pen1VJdZIA

Hikaru Shida, over two years since being defeated by Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D at DOUBLE OR NOTHING 2021, still stands as the most dominant AEW Women’s World Champion to date. Not only did she successfully defend the championship more than any woman before or since, but she also stands as the longest reigning champion to date. That being said, since losing the championship, in the few opportunities she has had to become a 2-Time Champion, Shida has been unable to reclaim that glory. Toni Storm, on the other hand, was able to accomplish what no other champion before her was able to accomplish, and that was becoming a 2-Time Champion after defeating Jamie Hayter at DOUBLE OR NOTHING 2023 back in May. Not Riho, nor Nyla Rose, nor Baker, nor Shida were able to achieve that feat, while Thunder Rosa hasn’t had the opportunity, leaving Toni Storm the sole champion to make hit particular historical feat.

This Wednesday night on DYNAMITE 200, Shida aims to become the second woman to achieve 2-Time status by ending the run of this particular Outcast. Shida enters the fight having defeated “The Native Beast” Nyla Rose last week, making it her fifth victory in a row, and setting Hikaru up for this championship challenge!

This is a fight that is about a bit more than just the title though, as Shida is one of the women who’ve stepped up to face The Outcasts attack on those competitors who’ve helped establish AEW as the home for Women’s Wrestling. The fight against Ruby, Saraya, and the AEW Women’s World Champion even united Shida with Dr. Britt Baker, one of her oldest AEW foes, as regardless of their history, the two women at least have common ground in their defense of All Elite Wrestling.

So as much as this is about becoming a 2-Time Women’s World Champion, it’s also about reclaiming the Women’s Division from The Outcasts, and bringing the title back to a woman who actually appreciates where it came from, and looks at it with respect and pride, rather than disdain and disgust, only giving it value because it’s an Outcast who holds it rather than because of the work put in by those who came before, and those whose goal is to hoist it overhead themselves.

ROH WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH…

Aussie Open (Kyle Fletcher & Mark Davis)(c) vs.

AAA Mega Champion El Hijo del Vikingo & Komander

At DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR 2023 Mark Davis returned to action after an unfortunate injury, an injury that forced Aussie Open to vacate both the IWGP World Tag Title and the NJPW STRONG Openweight Tag Titles, but they returned to claim the ROH World Tag Team Championship as their own! Defeating defending champion Lucha Brothers, The Best Friends, and The Kingdom to become the 66th Champions, Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis are now set to make their first defense this Wednesday night as part of the 200th edition festivities!

Their opponents this Wednesday night will be the high-flying Lucha sensations of Komander and AAA Mega Champion El Hijo del Vikingo! These two men have been foes on plenty of occasions, they’ve even united in multiple multi-man matches, but this will mark the very first time they’ve been a tag team, and what a way to kick off that partnership than by challenging for the ROH World Tag Team Championship!

The idea of a first-time team winning the ROH World Tag Titles isn’t unfamiliar; the very first champions, Christopher Daniels and Donovan Morgan, were teaming for the very first time that night in September 2002 when they became the first tag champions in ROH history. That tradition would continue when AJ Styles and Amazing Red became the 2nd champions, and would play out a few more times over the next twenty years. So while Vikingo and Komander wouldn’t be the first to accomplish this feat on their first venture as a team, it has been 18 years since Sal Rinauro and Tony Mamaluke did it.

Can Komander and Vikingo add their names to the list of men who’ve accomplished this? Can they dethrone Aussie Open in their very first championship defense? If not, how long can Aussie Open reign over the tag team division? There are plenty of teams aiming for a shot should Fletcher and Davis make it past Wednesday night; who will be the first team to step up to the winners of this battle on the 200th edition of DYNAMITE?

TAG TEAM BATTLE…

Chris Jericho & Konosuke Takeshita vs. Daniel Garcia & Sammy Guevara

So just what is Chris Jericho doing to his own Appreciation Society? Though he hasn’t really given Don Callis a firm yes or no about being part of his family, he hasn’t really given his own unit members a strong answer either. As it pertained to the Blind Eliminator Tag Tournament, Jericho told Garcia and Guevara to go out on their own and accomplish something without him at their sides, to which they would make it to the finals of the tournament before losing to Adam Cole and AEW World Champion MJF.

It was a completely reasonable piece of motivation, telling his proteges to go out and make their own way, but it was also coming from the same man who was indignant about “The Spanish God” having interest in the ROH World Championship last year. It made the Blind Eliminator situation feel like one that was fine with Jericho because it wasn’t interfering with any of his own angles.

But now they are all at cross-purposes; Don Callis has created a situation in which Jericho must fight his J.A.S. allies this Wednesday night on the 200th DYNAMITE episode. Callis has created this tag team match in which Jericho, with Konosuke Takeshita as his partner, must take on Daniel Garcia and Sammy Guevara, two men who have repeatedly chosen to stand by Jericho’s side no matter what has happened. Guevara, since DYNAMITE day one, has chosen to remain loyal to Jericho, even after walking away from The Inner Circle before The J.A.S was born. Garcia, pulled between the Jericho-implanted idea of wrestler versus sports entertainer, has chosen sports entertainer time and again, even when the possibility of aligning with Bryan Danielson and The BCC seemed the most logical approach to his career.

So will Jericho fight his JAS brethren without any consideration for the damage it could do to the cohesion of that unit? Will he at all question what teaming with Takeshita could do to his allies? Or will this be another case of “The Ocho” expecting his “allies” to just fall in line with whatever he’s choosing to do?

TRIOS BOUT…

The Elite (Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson, & Nick Jackson) vs.

Jay Lethal, Jeff Jarrett, & Satnam Singh

The Elite, after having gone through absolute hell in Blood & Guts, are looking to get back on track with professional wrestling this Wednesday night on the 200th edition of DYNAMITE! As one of the cornerstones of All Elite Wrestling, The Elite are one of the biggest reasons AEW has seen the success it has, and why DYNAMITE has become such an important part of that success. Between the three of them, they’ve been 2-Time AEW World Tag Champions, 2-Time World Trios Champions, and AEW World Champion, but after the violence of Blood & Guts, they’ve got to find their way back to being the men who won those championships.

That being said, this Wednesday night, The Elite of Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks will step inside the ring with Jay Lethal, Jeff Jarrett, and the mountain of a man known as Satnam Singh! It’s been more than four years since The Young Bucks have been in the ring with Lethal, and almost six since Kenny’s set foot in the same ring as the former ROH World Champion. Kenny’s never shared a ring with Jarrett, the Buck have only been in a Battle Royal with the man some thirteen years ago, and none of the Elite trio have ever shared space with Satnam Singh.

So this is going to be quite the intriguing situation once the bell rings for this Trios bout on Wednesday night! Will The Elite step up and lead DYNAMITE into the future of the next 200 episodes, or will it be Jarrett and his ilk who step up and lead the charge?

MJF…

https://www.youtube.com/embed/P8bbkwESAV8?start=171

On Saturday night’s latest edition of COLLISION, AEW World Champion MJF and Adam Cole were unsuccessful in their attempt at claiming the AEW World Tag Team Champions from FTR. They gave it their all, even the double clothesline, but it ultimately came down to Maxwell saving Cole from the Shatter Machine, nearly getting The Heatseeker for the win, but ultimately putting himself into position to get pinned by the defending champions.

Any way you slice it, it was AEW Wold Champion MJF who got pinned by Dax Harwood on Saturday night, and there’s not any other way the multi-time Dynamite Diamond Ring winner can sell it. So this Wednesday on DYNAMITE, when we expect to hear from MJF, how will he address FTR’s victory, and will he address the promise he made to Adam Cole to give him an AEW World Championship rematch no matter how the championship bout went down?

JACK PERRY…

https://www.youtube.com/embed/xftnNuL01Xo

Having freshly won the FTW Championship, and ended the undefeated streak of HOOK, Jack Perry got into the ring last week to denigrate the history of the championship he’d just won, as well as the history of the place where it was born. As a former ECW World Champion, Jerry Lynn stepped up to defend one of places that made him the respected man he is today, and was even willing to fight Jack had the former “Jungle Boy” had the guts to do it.

Instead, Jack Perry chose to duck out of the ring and tell Jerry he would do it on his time, when he was dressed for the fight. With that in mind, this Wednesday night on DYNAMITE, the FTW Champion will meet Jerry Lynn face-to-face in the middle of an AEW ring and, well, we shall all see how it goes from there. We know Jerry is not in fighting condition for a wrestling match with Jack, but that doesn’t mean he won’t fight the young man with everything he’s got in his body! What will happen with this generational confrontation on Wednesday?

The march towards ALL IN: LONDON is on and this week it brings AEW to Tampa, FL and the Yuengling Center for the 200th edition of DYNAMITE! An Anything Goes Three Way pits The BCC vs. Nest Friends vs. Death Triangle, The Jericho Appreciation Society has some strife of its own as Jericho teams with Takeshita to fight Guevara and Garcia in tag action, plus Jerry Lynn goes face-to-face with FTW Champion Jack Perry, and there will be two championship bouts! The night begins at 8pm ET/7pm CT on TBS, as well as at AEWPlus.com for our international audiences, so be sure to visit the official AEW YouTube channel before the action to catch DYNAMITE, RAMPAGE, and COLLISION highlights, as well as a celebration of the history of DYNAMITE, and much more!
