Tonight’s AEW COLLISION was broadcast from the Gas South Arena in Duluth, GA!

It’s Saturday night and you know what that means! Saturday night’s alright for fighting!

Nigel McGuinness and Tony Schiavone were the broadcast team for tonight’s event.

“The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson 

vs. Shane Taylor (with Lee Moriarty of Shane Taylor Promotions)!

The fans chanted “Let’s go Bryan! Let’s go Bryan!”

Taylor threw Danielson halfway across the ring! Danielson grappled Taylor to the mat and connected with hammer and anvil blows until Taylor escaped. Taylor rocked Danielson with a shot to the jaw!

Taylor blistered Bryan’s chest with thunderous chops. Danielson returned fire with kicks to Taylor. Danielson got Taylor to the mat and stomped on Taylor’s leg. Danielson tied up Taylor’s leg in the ropes and nailed Taylor with a running dropkick. Taylor blocked a kick and countered with a massive knee lift to Danielson, sending Danielson spilling out of the ring. 

Shane Taylor squashed Danielson with a guillotine leg drop on the apron! Taylor cracked Danielson with another chop to the chest. Danielson charged off the ropes and dropkicked Taylor’s knee. Taylor tried to splash Danielson in the corner, but Danielson dodged it. Danielson wrenched Taylor’s leg across the ring post. Danielson blasted Taylor with a dropkick off the top rope. Danielson clobbered Taylor with kicks to Taylor’s leg. Taylor dropped to his knees and Danielson clocked Taylor with a kick to the head. Danielson covered Taylor but Taylor kicked out at the one-count!

Danielson got a head of steam and charged at Taylor with a running up-kick. Taylor retaliated with a lariat for a near fall on Danielson. Taylor headbutted Danielson in the chest and then hit a big splash for a two-count on Danielson!

“Did you see the look on Shane Taylor’s face? He hit Danielson with everything,” said Schiavone.

Danielson dodged a cannonball from Taylor. Danielson blasted Taylor with the running knee strike and pinned Shane Taylor!

“Bryan Danielson is amazing. You have to admit it!” said Schiavone.

“I have to admit nothing. He got lucky,” replied Nigel.

Will Ospreay’s music hit and Ospreay walked down to the ring!

Ospreay: “I want to have a chat with Danielson. Ladies and gentlemen, give a round of applause for the match we just saw. It’s so incredible watching you work, the number of years you’ve been doing this, and you’re still performing at the highest of levels. 

“In the short time that I’ve been here, I’ve noticed a lot of things. The thing I notice when you walk up and down these hallways, people go, ‘Wow, that’s Bryan Danielson.’ You set the bar. You’ve set the standard here. On behalf of everyone, if you don’t mind, thank you for everything that you’ve done. But you interrupted me on my main event during Dynamite. So, I’ve got this warm feeling in my belly that maybe you have something you want to ask me.”

Danielson: “That’s about half right. I have something I want to ask you. And I have something I want to say to you. First, welcome to AEW! And secondly, I saw the match that you had with Takeshita at Revolution. Not only did you win, but that was one of the best damn matches that I’ve ever seen. But I also listened to you in the media scrum afterwards, where he said for years he’s been screaming that he’s the best wrestler in the world, and he came to prove it. Well, I want to give you the chance to prove it. What do you say? Bryan Danielson versus Will Ospreay at AEW Dynasty on Sunday, April 21st?”

Ospreay: “Yes, bruv!”

Trios Match!

The Elite— “Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada & The Young Bucks—EVPs Matthew & Nicholas Jackson

vs. 

Jon Cruz, Liam Grey, & Adrian Alanis!

Okada wanted to start the match, so Nicholas Jackson tagged him in. Alanis struck Okada with forearms, but Okada returned fire with a beautiful dropkick! Liam tagged in and was rocked by the Rainmaker clothesline, and Okada pinned Liam in short order!

Continental Crown Champion Eddie Kingston charged into the ring and tried to strike Okada with his title belt! The Elite had Kingston outnumbered and began to stomp him. Penta El Zero Miedo sprinted to the ring and wiped out the Bucks with sling blades! Okada ducked the sling blade from Penta and countered with a neck breaker across his knee!

“And now it’s three on two. Penta and Kingston are at the mercy of our EVPs and Okada,” said Schiavone.

“The Bastard” Pac made his return! Pac stormed to the ring, dropkicked Matthew and the rocked Nicholas with a pump kick! Pac and Okada had a stare down. They traded forearms. Pac used his quickness, staggering Okada with kicks and then a vicious German Suplex! The Bucks pulled Okada out of the ring to safety!

Pac: “I’ll make this very clear for you. The Bastard’s back! And I promise you I’m just looking for trouble. So, if it’s trouble you’re after, you’re barking up the correct tree, you understand me? Boys, you want some, I’ll give it to you!”

Kingston: “Hey, Big Business, Boston, Dynamite, next week, six man tag. I’ll see you there!” 

Mariah May vs. Trish Adora!

Mariah took down Trish with a side headlock takeover. Trish rolled up Mariah for a near fall. Mariah blasted Trish with a shotgun dropkick! Mariah tried for the hip attack, but Trish avoided it. Trish wiped out May with a pump kick and then a senton splash for a near fall.

Mariah grabbed Trish by the hair and yanked her down to the mat. Trish suplexed Mariah from her knees for a near fall. Mariah May clocked Trish with a headbutt and then pinned her after the May Day!

“Mariah May continues her undefeated streak. Now 5-0,” said Tony Schiavone.

AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm appeared on the ramp to present the first annual Toni Award!

Mariah May was the only nominee…and surprise, surprise, Mariah May was the winner!

“The Virtuosa” Deonna Purrazzo ambushed Toni Storm from behind! Mariah May came to the aid of Toni Storm and spiked Deonna with a DDT on the ramp! Toni Storm presented Mariah with a shoe as a trophy.

The fans chanted “You deserve it! You deserve it!”

“Well, you know what they say, Toni, if the shoe fits,” said Nigel.

Nick Wayne (with the Patriarchy) vs. Adam Priest!

Nick Wayne hit a shoulder tackle and then a hurracanrana on Priest. Adam Priest rallied back with a European Uppercut. Nick Wayne dumped Priest onto the arena floor. Back in the ring, Nick Wayne nailed Priest with a fisherman’s suplex. Nick Wayne planted Priest with Wayne’s World and pinned Priest!

TNT Champion Christian Cage grabbed a sign from a masked fan at ringside and tore it up. The fan pulled Christian Cage over the barricade!

“Is this a luchador? Is this somebody from CMLL?” asked Schiavone.

The luchador took off his mask and revealed himself. It was the “Rated R Superstar” Adam Copeland! Copeland had the TNT belt in the ring. Copeland brought a case in the ring, too. Copeland opened the box, but Christian Cage back peddled.

“What’s in the box? Whatever is in the box has put the TNT Champion in reverse!” said Schiavone. 

Copeland: “Get your stupid little mouth ready to say two words! Toronto, Dynamite, TNT Championship, Cope-Cage 3!”

“Lionheart” Chris Jericho vs. CMLL’s Titan!

Jericho and Titan exchanged chops in the center of the ring. Titan clocked Jericho with a matrix type kick. Titan followed up with a double springboard into a hurracanrana. Titan wiped out Jericho with a tope suicida. 

They jockeyed for position on the top turnbuckle, but Jericho grabbed Titan by the mask and planted him on the mat headfirst! Titan rallied back with a PK kick and then dived over the top rope, landing on “Lionheart” on the arena floor!

Titan jumped back into the ring with a double foot stomp on Jericho. Jericho turned things around with a butterfly into a backbreaker for a near fall. Titan dodged the lionsault and then stunned Jericho with a spinning DDT for a two-count on Jericho. 

Titan climbed to the top turnbuckle and rocked Jericho with a double foot stomp to the sternum for a near fall on Jericho! Jericho escaped Titan’s signature submission hold. Titan ducked the Judas Effect and stunned Jericho with a matrix kick. Titan nailed Jericho with a Death Valley Bomb for a two-count. 

Titan attempted a springboard hurracanrana, but Jericho caught him and countered with the Lion Tamer, forcing Titan to tap out!

After the match, the Gates of Agony—Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona—ambushed Chris Jericho!

FTW Champion Hook came down to the ring with a kendo stick and walloped the Gates of Agony with the kendo stick!

“Hook and Jericho standing together. Jericho was being decimated by the Gates of Agony until Hook helped him out,” said Schiavone.

Tony Schiavone was in the ring to interview FTR—Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler! 

Cash: “I think it’s safe to say Sunday did not go according to plan for FTR. And that’s life. It happens. Life can knock you down and kick you while you’re there. But all we can do it get up, dust ourselves off, and keep moving forward. 2024 marks 10 years of FTR. 

“So, with that being said, what is next for FTR? We just so happened to have an AEW World Tag Team Title Tournament around the corner. And if you didn’t know, now you know we’re officially throwing our names into the ring. And in doing so I hope we run into Mox and Claudio, any form of BCC again, and when we do so, they’re a stepping stone for us becoming the first ever three-time AEW World Tag Team Champions!”

Dax: “Tony, Collision has been built on the back of tag team wrestling. It would be easy for me to tell you we’re the greatest tag team of all time. But there’s one thing I’m not. I’m not a liar. You saw the pay-per-view and I can’t confidently say that FTR has been firing on all cylinders. And in saying that I have a little bit of self-doubt. I don’t even know if FTR should be in this tournament for the World Tag Team Championships. 

“But if you’ll have us, I promise you we’ll give you every ounce of energy until we roll over and can’t get back up. And until then, hopefully we’ll become your first ever three-time AEW World Tag Team Champions. Top guys, out!”

The Infantry—the Captain Shawn Dean and Carlie Bravo—came down the ramp and entered the ring! The Infantry shook the hands of FTR and said, “May the best team win, because we’re coming for your spot!”

CMLL’s Mistico vs. Angelico (with Serpentico)!

Mistico ducked a lariat attempt from Angelico and countered with a springboard back elbow. Serpentico jumped on the ring apron to distract Mistico, and Angelico seized the opportunity to crack Mistico with a pump kick. Angelico followed up with a side suplex on Mistico, but Mistico kicked out at the one-count.

Mistico used the top rope as a springboard to dropkick Angelico. Mistico jumped over the top with a plancha into a hurracanrana onto Angelico on the floor! Mistico hit a tornillo on Angelico back in the ring for a near fall. Mistico splashed Angelico for a two-count.

Angelico and Mistico traded running lariats. After a flurry of offense, Mistico applied La Mistica and forced Angelico to tap out!

Atlanta Street Fight!

House of Black—Malakai Black, Buddy Matthews, & Brody King

vs.

Mark Briscoe, Jay Lethal, & Jeff Jarrett!

Jarrett carried plunder out to the ring, wielding a trash can at Buddy! Lethal lunged out with a tope suicida to Brody King! Mark Briscoe stomped a mudhole in Malakai!

Brody charged at Lethal, but Lethal countered with a drop toe hold, sending Brody crashing onto a steel chair. Mark Briscoe and Buddy Matthews brawled around the ring. Lethal used a chair as a launching pad but he launched into a big elbow strike from Brody King! Brody followed up with a running cross body, smashing Lethal through a table propped up on the barricade.

Brody shoved Mark Briscoe off the top turnbuckle and sent Mark soaring through the air! Mark landed on a pile of steel chairs on the arena floor! Brody power bombed Briscoe through a table. Buddy poured lighter fluid on a table. Malakai grabbed a lighter. 

Sonjay Dutt hit Buddy from behind, but Buddy didn’t budge. Julia Hart walked out and handed Buddy a can of gasoline. Budy poured the gas on Sonjay. Karen Jarrett came out from the tunnel and hit Buddy with a low blow. Sonjay shoved Buddy of the ramp, sending him crashing through a table. Julia Hart blew mist into Karen’s eyes!

Brody and Lethal brawled on the apron. Jeff Jarrett smashed a guitar over Brody’s head, and Brody fell off the apron, crashing through the table on the floor. Malakai Black blasted Jeff Jarett with a roundhouse kick. 

Malakai Black pulled out a spike and went to strike Mark, but Mark blocked it! Mark nailed Black with the Jay Driller! Mark had the spike, but Julia Hart grabbed Mark’s ankle. Mark Briscoe flipped over the top rope, using a steel chair as a catapult, but Malakai and Buddy caught Mark and power bombed him onto the apron. Julia Hart ignited the table and then Malakai and Buddy power bombed Mark Briscoe through the flaming table! They put Briscoe back into the ring and Malakai scored the pin!

“The house always wins,” said Nigel.

“But Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett proved to be good partners for Mark Briscoe,” replied Tony Schiavone.

Emanating from Gas South Arena in Gwinnett County, AEW presents two hours of hard-hitting professional wrestling action with Bryan Danielson taking on Shane Taylor, the new Elite of The Young Bucks and “Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada in action, Chris Jericho taking on AAA’s Titan, and Toni Storm’s 1st ever Toni Awards! Plus Mark Briscoe will team up with Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett for an Atlanta Street Fight against The House of Black, and Mariah May will step back into competition after her performance as Toni Storm last Sunday night!

ATLANTA STREET FIGHT…

Mark Briscoe, Jay Lethal, & Jeff Jarrett vs. 

The House of Black (Brody King, Buddy Matthews, & Malakai Black)

Well, a week ago we all watched as Mark Briscoe attempted to use pyro to set fire to Buddy Matthews, and this week it looks like the situation is about to get even hotter because The House of Black is looking to burn Mark Briscoe’s world down around him! Yet in situations such as these, though he may seem like a fraying rope, Mark Briscoe is actually in his happy place…

Though will he be happy with Jeff Jarrett standing by his side? Can he put aside his distrust of Double J long enough to focus on the fight with The House? Can Mark take the trust he has in Jay Lethal, a man he has called one of his best friends, and apply it to Jarrett? If he can’t, then Mark’s trio is doomed for failure against the onslaught of Brody King, Buddy Matthews, and Malakai Black, but if Mark, Lethal, and Double J can get it together, they just might be able to burn The House down to its foundation!

THE NEW ELITE IN ACTION!

There had been a buzz around the wrestling landscape that “The Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada could be making his way to All Elite Wrestling on a more permanent basis. Sure he’d dipped his toes in the elite waters with the FORBIDDEN DOOR events, and even stepped into the DYNAMITE ring to team up with Orange Cassidy, but it wasn’t until this past Wednesday night that the world learned that Okada was indeed All Elite!

Unfortunately, as Continental Crown Champion Eddie Kingston learned the hard way, Okada wasn’t just All Elite, he was now also one of The Elite. That’s right, Okada came to AEW from NJPW and immediately signed on the dotted line with The EVP’s, Matthew and Nicholas Jackson! Now there’s a great deal of history between the three men dating back to 2010 with Okada’s first forays into the United States, as well as their engagements in NJPW several years later, but it was still quite a shock to see “The Rainmaker” standing over the fallen Kingston with those two individuals rather than fighting them at Kingston’s side.

Well this Saturday night on COLLISION it won’t be a sneak attack putting The Young Bucks and Okada together, it will be the first Trios match together for this new iteration of The Elite, and whoever steps into the ring across from them best be wary. Matthew and Nicholas are none too happy after the events of REVOLUTION 2024, and though the addition of Okada may have boosted their spirits, they are still looking for some poor unfortunate souls to take out their frustration.

ONE-ON-ONE…

“Lionheart” Chris Jericho vs. Titan

He has been the CMLL World Welterweight Champion for over 1,500 days, he is a member of Los Ingobernables de Japon in NJPW, and is one of the most exciting high-flyers in Lucha Libre today! He is Titan (pronounced Tee-tan), and this Saturday night he makes his AEW debut on COLLISION against “Lionheart” Chris Jericho!

As the original AEW World Champion, Jericho is one of the standard bearers, but his career has deep roots in Mexico with CMLL, including fighting a different man competing under the Titan name in his very first match. It’s where “Lionheart” was born as “Corazon de Leon”, and where Jericho learned much of the skills that bolstered him to international stardom in the first place. 

As was witnessed recently when Jericho took on Atlantis Jr., the involvement of CMLL in All Elite Wrestling has given “The Ocho” a new fire, a new outlet to focus his energies towards, though he is being pulled in multiple directions given his engagement with HOOK, and his perpetual issues with The Don Callis Family. If Jericho wants to have the same success with Titan that he had with Atlantis Jr, he better have his head in this particular game on COLLISION, or the CMLL World Welterweight Champion is going to add “Corazon de Leon” to the list of his fallen opponents!

SINGLES MATCH…

“The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson vs. Shane Taylor

This past Wednesday night on DYNAMITE, the professional wrestling world witnessed a moment they’d been longing to see for years when “The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson stood in the ring with “The Aerial Assassin” Will Ospreay. It was a moment that seemingly would never happen, but then Ospreay officially signed on with All Elite Wrestling and it became a distinct possibility, though not one fans expected to see come together so quickly! Bryan’s intent in spoiling Ospreay’s moment at the end of DYNAMITE was clear, he wants a fight, but until we hear from the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion we can only assume he feels the same.

But that’s not the issue at hand, at least not for Bryan Danielson, his issue is the fight looming on Saturday night with Shane Taylor! Hopefully Bryan was paying attention when his BCC mate Jon Moxley went to war with Taylor several weeks ago, hopefully Bryan uses Moxley as a resource to learn what Shane T brings to the table, because what Danielson is going to get is a hellacious fight. Danielson has been hit by the hardest strikers in the world throughout his career, but he’s never been hit by the former ROH World TV Champion, and there are few men who can compare. After the war Bryan went through at REVOLUTION 2024 with Eddie Kingston, is he up to the task?

LUCHA LIBRE!

Mistico vs. Angelico

AEW fans have gotten familiar with Mistico since his epic clash with Rocky Romero last October first introduced CMLL to All Elite Wrestling while his bout with Matt Sydal, as well as the 8-Man tag that preceded it, helped further showcase his skills. This Saturday night on COLLISION, the current World Historic Middleweight Champion will return to AEW for a bout with a man with whom he shared the AAA ring a handful of times between 2014 and 2015: Angelico!

Between two Three Way tags, one being a AAA World Tag Title bout, and a Trios bout, Angelico’s teams hold one victory over Mistico’s, while Mistico’s hold none over Angelico’s, but this is a solo affair, and in that vein of professional wrestling Mistico has excelled. He is one of the best professional wrestlers on the planet, the most famous Luchador in modern wrestling, a man who changed the game for man, and now he’s back in All Elite Wrestling to give Angelico the toughest test of his AEW career! If Angelico can pull out a victory, it will be the biggest one of his career, the biggest moment of his professional wrestling career, and it will put Angelico on the map worldwide!

Mariah May vs. Trish Adora

She finally got it! After months of desperately searching for the approval of AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm, Mariah May finally got a bit of approval from her idol, she just had to cosplay as Toni Storm in order to get what she craved. Clearly the how of it all was of no matter to Mariah, all that mattered is it happened, and that just leaves one to wonder if this Saturday night on COLLISION, when Mariah is back in action against The Infantry’s Trish Adora, will she continue to dress the part of old Toni Storm, or if May will return to her own style? Whichever it may be, her head best be in the game otherwise the hard-hitting Adora is going to knock it off Mariah’s shoulders first chance she gets!

And speaking of “Timeless” Toni Storm…

1ST EVER TONI AWARDS…

After her victory at REVOLUTION 2024, it seems like AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm is intending to present herself with a Toni (with an “I” for legal purposes) Award for her performance! Mind you, it was clear as day to the viewing audience that Toni tapped out to Deonna Purrazzo during the course of the match, but the official missed the moment and thus it was not “The Virtuosa” who left Greensboro as new champion. So is Toni Storm actually deserving of an award? She certainly seems to believe so, and we will see if she actually celebrates herself this Saturday night on COLLISION!

This…is…Rampage!

“Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy & Trent Beretta vs. Kip Sabian & The Butcher!

The Butcher backed Trent into the turnbuckles. Trent charged at Butch, but Butch shoved Trent right to the mat. Trent fired back with a forearm to Butcher’s head. Butcher dished out his own forearm and staggered Trent. 

Butcher bulldozed Trent with a big shoulder tackle. Kip tagged in but Trent sent Kip flying with a huge back body drop. Orange grabbed a tag and he and Trent connected with double shoulder tackles on Sabian.

Cassidy spiked Kip with a DDT. Butcher came in and powerslammed Orange, then followed up with a back breaker. Butch wasn’t even the legal man! Sabian whipped Cassidy into the corner. Sabian inadvertently hit Butcher, allowing enough time for Orange to tag out to Trent. 

Trent smashed Kip with two consecutive suplexes. Trent blasted Butcher with a knee to the chin. Trent rocked Sabian with a running knee strike for a near fall! Butcher rallied back with a pump handle throw on Trent, and Sabian crashed onto Trent with a double foot stomp. Sabian covered Trent but Orange jumped in to break the pin attempt. 

Trent rocked Butcher with a German Suplex. Orange pulped Butcher with the Orange Punch! Trent nailed Butcher with the Strong Zero and scored the pin for his team!

“The was a great showing for Orange Cassidy and Trent Beretta ahead of the World Tag Team Title Tournament,” said Excalibur.

A video package aired showing highlights of The Infantry—Capt. Shawn Dean and Carlie Bravo—in action!

Renee Paquette was backstage with Ruby Soho wondering if Ruby would provide an update on Angelo Parker.

Ruby: “He’s hurt. He’s really hurt. He might have torn a couple ligaments in his knee. And honestly this whole thing feels like it’s my fault. Because I brought him into this, this whole thing with Saraya. I hate you, Saraya. I want you to understand that. I thought you were just sad without me. But deep down inside you’re a bad person. You and your inbred family are going to get what’s coming to you!”

TBS Championship Open Challenge Match!

The House of Black’s Julia Hart (c.) vs. Robyn Renegade!

Julia bounced Robyn’s head off the mat repeatedly. Julia whipped Robyn into the turnbuckles. Julia hit a vertical suplex on Robyn Renegade. Julia used a back heel trip on Robyn and then wrenched back on Robyn’s neck.

Robyn fought to her feet and then blasted Julia with a shotgun dropkick. Julia dodged a charge from Robyn and then connected with a back elbow and a thrust kick to Robyn. Julia drilled Robyn with a lariat to the back of the head. Julia locked in Heartless and forced Robyn to tap out!

Action Andretti vs. Penta El Zero Miedo (with Alex Abrahantes)!

Penta took down Action with two sling blades. Action fired back with a DDT. Action attempted a tope suicida, but Penta countered with a kick to Action’s head, shutting down Action’s high flying offense. 

Action wiped out Penta with a hurracanrana off the apron onto the arena floor! Action splashed Penta with a senton. Action went for a springboard, but Penta countered with a thrust kick. Penta charged at Action, but Action countered with a Spanish Fly! Action planted Penta with a poison rana for a near fall! Andretti was looking for a tornillo but Penta El Zero Miedo countered with a thrust kick! Penta stuck Action Andretti with the Fear Factor and pinned Andretti!

“Bounty Hunter” Bryan Keith & Komander!

Dante rocked Bryan Keith with a jumping knee strike. Private Party jumped in but Top Flight dropkicked them out of the ring. The match broke down, with the teams brawling at ringside!

Keith shoved Kassidy into Quen. Bryan Keith followed up with a neck breaker to Kassidy and was forced to tag out to Darius as Komander hadn’t returned to the ring apron yet. Darius connected with a flatliner DDT combo on Private Party for a near fall on Isiah. 

Komander grabbed a tag, but Private Party double teamed him, and Kassidy covered Komander, but Dante broke up the pin. Bryan Keith hit an exploder suplex on Kassidy while Komander used a backslide on Quen for a near fall. 

Dante came in and walloped Quen with a lariat! Dante clocked Komander with a knee strike under the chin. Dante took out Private Party on the outside with a tope suicida! Darius flattened Komander with the ripcord and scored the pin for Top Flight!

Tonight’s season premiere episode of AEW DYNAMITE was broadcast live from the Gas South Arena in Duluth, GA!

Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, and “The Human Suplex Machine” Taz were the broadcast team for tonight’s event.

It’s Wednesday night and you know what that means!

Tony Schiavone kicked off the show in the ring to interview Swerve Strickland!

Swerve: “What’s Swerve’s house without the keys? I couldn’t get the job done this past Sunday. You know who did? Samoa Joe did. Here I stand, no gold around my waist. Part of me think it’s karma for all the bad things I’ve done in AEW. Maybe I’m paying for it now. 

“Maybe I’m not supposed to be a champion here. Maybe I’m supposed to be a role player and be the guy that gets close enough but can’t quite grasp it, and I’ve gotta settle for this. I’m going to tell you all a little something. Something about Sunday felt different. Something about Revolution felt very different. It felt like people were truly rooting for me for the first time. It felt like y’all wanted me to win and make history. 

“The fact remains nothing changes from this point on. Samoa Joe, whether you’re still holding the World championship or not, I’m coming for you. That I promise!”

AEW World Champion Samoa Joe came down to the ring!

Samoa Joe: “You know for a man who I beat down the other day, you sure are talking funny. Making a lot of promises to these good people that you will never keep. In fact, I came out here to give us a reality check. Here we are in Swerve’s House. But unfortunately, your house exists in my world. So instead of coming out here and disappointing these people about how you’re almost the champion, I thought I’d come out here and let them gaze upon an actual World Champion.”

Swerve: “Don’t talk your back on me, Joe. You’re talking real spicy. How about you put this title on the line tonight? Actually, I don’t want to wait until tonight. How about we do this right now?”

The Undisputed Kingdom’s music interrupted Swerve, and the Undisputed Kingdom rolled out onto the ramp!

Adam Cole: “The only story coming out of Revolution worth talking about is the Undisputed Kingdom. Roderick Strong is your new AEW International Champion. Mike Bennett and Matt Taven are still the greatest ROH Tag Champions of all time. And then there’s Swerve and Samoa Joe. Joe, you’re only champion because we allowed it to happen. And Swerve, in six months, no one will give a damn about you. You’re not going to win the World championship, but I’ll tell you who is: Wardlow.”

Swerve: “It’s funny you’re telling me I need to get to the back of the line. How many times did you fail, yet you got opportunity after opportunity.”

Adam Cole: You think you’re funny? How about this? The greatest ROH Tag Champions of all time against you and Samoa Joe next week?”

Swerve: “Why wait until next week?”

Adam Cole: “The match is happening next week!”

Tony Schiavone: “Pardon me. I heard from Tony Khan. The match is happening right now.”

ROH World Tag Team Champions Mike Bennett & Matt Taven

vs.

AEW World Champion Samoa Joe and Swerve Strickland!

Samoa Joe booted Taven in the head and flattened him with a senton for a near fall. Samoa Joe hit Taven with a headbutt. Bennett grabbed a blind tag and began to strike Samoa Joe after a swift kick from Matt Taven.

Strickland tagged himself in and cleaned house on Taven and Bennett. Swerve blasted Bennett with a brain buster! Swerve climbed to the top turnbuckle, but Taven cut him off. Swerve shoved Taven away and nailed Taven with the double foot stomp and followed up with the House Call! Swerve planted Taven and scored the pin!

“No help from Joe, Swerve did it on his own, pretty much,” said Taz.

Wardlow walked down the ramp. Swerve was distracted by him, and while his back was turned, Samoa Joe locked Swerve in a sleeper.

“Joe just used Strickland as an example to Wardlow,” said Taz.

And it was made official for next week on Dynamite: Big Business—it’ll be AEW World Champion Samoa Joe placing his title on the line against Wardlow!

Renee Paquette was backstage to interview FTW Champion HOOK!

Chris Jericho interrupted Renee.

Jericho: “You know Hook, the first match I worked as “Lionheart” Chris Jericho in this country was against your father. He suplexed me on my head. I’ve never forgotten that. But I’ve always felt like I had a little connection to Taz because of it, which made me feel like I have a little connection to you. But I never really respected you, Hook, until you dumped me on my head this past Sunday at Revolution. And when I was in the ring with you, I realized maybe you are the real deal. So, congrats on that.”

Jericho fist bumped Hook and smiled. 

Next: A huge announcement from AEW EVPs The Young Bucks—Matthew & Nicholas Jackson!

Nicholas: “Actually we have two huge announcements.”

Matthew: “How about we make those announcements in the ring tonight?”

FTW Championship Match!

HOOK (c.) vs. “The Machine” Brian Cage!

Cage cracked Hook with a thrust kick. Cage followed up with a suplex and then a running elbow to Hook in the corner. Cage sent Hook flying with a belly to belly suplex. Cage pulled a chair from beneath the ring and wedged it into the corner. Hook blasted Cage in the face with a fire extinguisher. Hook clocked Cage in the head with a trash can lid.

Hook jumped off the ring steps, but Cage caught Hook and powerslammed Hook on the arena floor. Cage charged at Hook, but Hook dodged him, sending Cage crashing through the barricade. 

Back in the ring, Hook countered an F5 and spiked Cage with a DDT on a steel chair! Hook nailed Cage with a T-bone suplex! Hook smashed a trash can onto Cage and then suplexed Cage onto a steel guardrail for a near fall!

Brian Cage escaped the Red Rum. Cage smacked Hook with an F5 onto a chair. Brian Cage took a bag and emptied it, spilling thumbtacks onto the ring. Hook cracked a kendo stick across Cage’s back and then suplexed Cage into the thumbtacks!

Hook clubbed Cage. Hook applied the Red Rum, but Cage sat back into the thumbtacks! Hook wouldn’t let go, despite being in the thumb tacks, and put Brian Cage to sleep! Hook won via ref stoppage!

Out of nowhere, The Gates of Agony ambushed Hook! Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona stomped Hook! 

Chris Jericho sprinted to the ring with his baseball bat, coming to the aid of Hook, and cleared the ring of the Gates of Agony!

It was announced that across the coming weeks, the AEW World Tag Team Championships will be decided in a tournament!

Renee Paquette was backstage to interview “Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy, Trent, and Chuck Taylor!

Renee: “What’s next for you Orange?”

Orange: “Well, you know, it’s going to be the same thing I always do. And that’s to do what ever I can to fill up my backpack up with another championship.”

Renee: “Let’s talk about these new vacated AEW World championships. Trent and Chuck, are you guys going to be in the tournament?”

Chuck: “Renee, it is high time that the Best Friends win the big one, but unfortunately, the boys aren’t back in town. I’m not cleared, my ankle is still hurt. But I think these two should enter that dang tournament and win the whole dang thing. And guess what? Friday night on Rampage, you guys got your first match.”

Trent: “Boys, it’s time to win the big one.”

Killswitch (with the Patriarch) vs. “Daddy Magic” Matt Menard!

TNT Champion Christian Cage joined the broadcast booth for this match. 

Menard charged at Killswitch, not wasting anytime, throwing forearms at Killswitch. Menard ran into Killswitch, but Killswitch countered with a chokeslam! Killswitch clobbered Menard with a lariat to the back of the neck and then pinned him!

“Killswitch just made his father very, very proud,” said Christian Cage.

Killswitch continued his onslaught after the match, but Daniel Garcia ran to the ring to even up the odds! Garcia pummeled Killswitch in the corner! Nick Wayne jumped into the ring, but Garcia backed him off with strikes. Garcia turned around and was wiped out by a massive boot from Killswitch! Nick Wayne walloped Garcia with Wayne’s World!

“There’s nothing Nick Wayne can’t do under my guidance,” said Christian Cage.

Christian Cage and the Patriarchy celebrated on the ramp until “The Rated R Superstar” Adam Copeland ran up from behind and attacked Killswitch with a steel chair! Copeland choked out Nick Wayne and then set his sights on Christian Cage, but Christian began to back away. Mother Wayne went to strike Copeland with a low blow, but Copeland blocked it! Copeland charged after Christian Cage, but Cage retreated! Adam Copeland chased Christian Cage through the arena and then backstage! Christian Cage jumped into someone’s SUV, highjacked it, and drove away!

Adam Copeland looked into the camera.

Copeland: “I know you’re going to see this. This has to end where it started. Toronto, March 20th, Dynamite, Copeland-Cage 3 for the TNT Championship in an I-Quit Match!”

Renee Paquette was backstage to interview Kyle O’Reilly!

Kyle: “I hate admitting this, but for awhile there, I didn’t think that I’d ever wrestle again. But to be here now, to be cleared, to feel the love from the fans, to get a second chance at the only thing I’ve ever been good at, to get a second chance to provide for my family, I’m just grateful.

“I’ve got nothing but love and respect for the Undisputed Kingdom, but you’ve got to understand that I feel like I’ve fallen so far down the mountain, I don’t know which path to take. Now that I’ve got a second chance, I’ve just got to do it on my own.”

Tony Schiavone was in the ring to interview AEW EVPs The Young Bucks—Matthew & Nicholas Jackson!

The Bucks kicked Schiavone out of the ring. Nicholas said the Bucks were entering themselves into the tag tournament and getting the titles back.

Matthew said they had two huge announcements. The first item pertains to two of their dear friends. Matthew said “Hangman” Adam Page crossed the line at Revolution by putting his hands on two AEW officials, so he’d be suspended from the Elite without pay. Matthew also said Kenny was fired from the Elite. Matthew was about to make another announcement until the Continental Crown Champion Eddie Kingston walked down to the ring!

Kingston said he was warned that if he talked crap about the Bucks, he’d be fined, so he threw a wad of cash at Nicholas Jackson and said he might as well fine him now! Matthew told Eddie not to air their grievances on national television and put his arm around Kingston. Nicholas moved closer and grabbed Kingston, but Kingston knocked Nicholas down and then struck Matthew! As Kingston and Nicholas were tussling, Matthew connected with a low blow to Kingston and then Nicholas followed up with a thrust kick!

The Bucks were about to smash Kingston with the EVP Trigger when suddenly…

“The Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada’s music began to play!

Okada came down to the ring as the arena became unglued! Okada got in the ring, and it appeared he was about to help Kingston. Instead, Okada grabbed Kingston and rocked him with the rainmaker clothesline! 

Nicholas: “One announcement we forgot to make! The newest member of the Elite…” The Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada!

“Omega is out, Okada is in! I can’t believe it!” said Tony Schiavone.

“Is Okada targeting the Continental Crown, gesturing at his waist and pointing to Kingston? Kazuchika Okada is All Elite, and the newest member of the Elite. What a shocking turn of events,” added Excalibur.

Kris Statlander (with Stokely Hathaway) vs. Riho!

Riho dropkicked Statlander. Riho followed up with a drop toehold, but Kris got up and shoulder blocked Riho. Kris put Riho in a bear hug. Statlander nailed Riho with a vertical suplex. 

Statlander pressed Riho and then planted her hard on the mat! Riho connected with a dropkick and rallied back with a big hammering elbow in the corner. Riho rocked Kris with a Northern Lights Suplex for a near fall.

Riho climbed to the top turnbuckle, but Kris dodged the double stomp. Kris clubbed Riho in the face with a clothesline. Kris followed up with two more forearms. Riho was playing possum, jumped off the top rope, but Statlander rolled through. Riho slipped behind and nailed Kris with a dragon suplex for a two-count!

The fans chanted “This is awesome! This is awesome!”

Stokely Hathaway placed a chain in the ring for Kris, and then jumped onto the apron to distract the ref. Statlander picked up the chain, and it was clear she was torn, but then tossed the chain away. Riho charged at Statlander, but Statlander put on the brakes and suplexed Riho!

Statlander planted Riho with a German Suplex. Statlander picked up Riho, but Riho rolled through and pinned Statlander!

“What a win! What a comeback! Statlander is shocked, she should have used the chain,” said Taz.

Renee Paquette was backstage with AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm, Mariah May, and Luther!

Storm said this Saturday on Collision she’d be presenting the first ever “Toni” award. 

Renee Paquette was backstage with Stokely Hathaway and Willow Nightingale!

Renee asked Stokely what went wrong out there.

Stokely: “Kris Statlander wanted to do things here way. She is my favorite. I just wish she listened to those who love her the most.”

Renee: “I have good news I’ve just been informed. Next week on Dynamite: Big Business, you will be going one on one with Riho.”

Willow: “Stokely, I know what you were trying to do out there, but next week we have to do things my way. I know I can beat Riho, the former Women’s Champion. And Julia Hart, I’ve got my sights set on you and the TBS Championship. I am going to become the face of TBS, I just have to get through Riho first.”

Tony Schiavone was in the ring to interview Darby Allin ahead of his match against “Switchblade” Jay White at Dynamite: Big Business!

Tony asked Darby what it would be like without Sting. 

Darby: “I’m lacerated, I’m beat up, I’m tired. Next week at Big Business I’ve got a match against Jay White. And then on March 27th, I’m flying to go climb Mount Everest. There is no guarantee that I’m going to come back alive from Mount Everest. I just want to take this moment to thank every fan and AEW for giving me this dream. And if next week is my last match, I’m going to go out fighting for my life! And as for this AEW World Tag championship, everybody asks me why I don’t just find a new partner and keep defending it. Let’s get serious here, Tony. I can’t replace Sting. So next team that wins this, congratulations.”

“Darby Allin is relinquishing the AEW World Tag Team Championship,” said Excalibur.

The Bullet Club Gold came out onto the ramp!

“Switchblade” Jay White: “Whoa, I am sorry, I didn’t want to interrupt this little sob story but Darby, you’re just such an elusive guy, I didn’t know if I’d get the chance to talk to you face to face. Congrats on an amazing night at Revolution. 

“You were willing to risk it all when you jumped off the top of the ladder. Our EVPs moved out of the way, and you went crashing through the glass all by yourself. Between you and me and Atlanta, I don’t really care that this is all people are talking about. There’s no one to watch after you now. But you don’t have to get in the ring with me. Trust me, nobody would think any less of you after what you’ve been through. Because Darby remember, if you do decide to get in the ring with me, there’s a lot worse things that can happen than a few scratches.

“So, I have a better idea. Instead of a match, why don’t you come back, and you can hang with the Bang Bang Scissor Gang. We have a nickname for you already: Darby Scissorhands.”

Darby: “Are you done? I’m going to get right to the point. You came to AEW and did what? I don’t believe the hype. If you think you’re as good as you say you are, you’d come out here alone. I’ll see you at Big Business on Dynamite next week!”

The House of Black were backstage with strong words for Mark Briscoe!

They said they’d fight fire with fire!

Brody King: “Just let us know if we need to dig one grave or three after Collision this Saturday.”

Renee Paquette was backstage with Mark Briscoe!

Briscoe: “Saturday night, let’s do it! Atlanta Street Fight, anything goes on Collision!”

Jay Lethal interrupted and said he had Mark’s back. And he’d bring Jeff Jarrett with him.

Main Event Time!

ROH World TV Champion Kyle Fletcher vs. “The Aerial Assassin” Will Ospreay!

Don Callis joined the commentary team for this match.

Fletcher and Ospreay hugged as the bell rang.

Fletcher hit Ospreay with a shoulder tackle. Ospreay took down Fletcher with a step up hurracanrana. Will chopped Fletcher in the chest. Fletcher reversed an Irish Whip and sent Ospreay into the turnbuckles. Will, with an injured back from Revolution, crumbled to the mat, writhing in pain.

Will rallied back and hit a tope on Fletcher. Will suplexed Fletcher for a near fall. Fletcher had the Os Cutter scouted and nailed Will with a suplex and then a brain buster! Fletcher and Ospreay exchanged chops in the center of the ring. 

Fletcher tried to block the Os Cutter with a Styles Clash, but Will countered with a DDT! Fletcher ducked the Hidden Blade and countered with Snake Eyes into the middle turnbuckle! Ospreay staggered Fletcher with a heel kick and then blasted Fletcher with an Os Cutter on the apron!

Ospreay countered a tombstone piledriver with a poison rana to Fletcher! Ospreay climbed to the top turnbuckle, but Fletcher knocked Will down. Fletcher attempted an avalanche dragon suplex, but Will landed on his feet! Will power bombed Fletcher but Fletcher kicked out at the two-count! Ospreay decimated Fletcher with an avalanche poison rana! Ospreay caught Fletcher with a Spanish Fly and then an Os Cutter, but Kyle kicked out!

“How tough is Kyle Fletcher?” asked Excalibur.

“Double tough,” replied Don Callis.

Ospreay finished off Fletcher with the Hidden Blade and pinned Fletcher!

After the match, “The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson came down to the ring!

Danielson smiled at Fletcher and the two had a stare down.

It’s the final stop before AEW REVOLUTION! 

Tonight’s AEW COLLISION was broadcast from the Propst Arena at Von Braun Center in Huntsville, AL!

It’s Saturday night and you know what that means! Saturday night’s alright for fighting!

Nigel McGuinness, Kevin Kelly and Tony Schiavone were the broadcast team for tonight’s event.

Tonight’s opening contest: The House of Black’s Buddy Matthews against…

Mark Briscoe attacked Matthews before Matthews’ scheduled opponent was introduced!

Mark pulled Buddy out of the ring and Buddy’s opponent left the ring. Briscoe and Matthews brawled at ringside. Mark set up a chair in the ring, used it as a launching pad, and dived onto Matthews on the arena floor, crashing through a table!

Mark Briscoe grabbed a steel spike. Briscoe aimed the spike at Matthews while Matthews begged him off. Brody King and Malakai Black sprinted to the ring to save Matthews from Briscoe’s attack. Mark Briscoe was taking on the entire House of Black. He cracked Brody in the back with a steel chair! Mark whipped the chair at Malakai’s head! Briscoe was about to use the spike on Malakai’s head when Buddy walloped Mark with a running kick to the head!

Mark Briscoe jumped off the top of the ramp and connected with a flying cross body press to Matthews. Briscoe grabbed the remote control to the pyro that was set up on the ramp, and as Buddy staggered backwards, Briscoe triggered the pyro!

Security grappled with Briscoe, preventing him from hitting the switch again. The House of Black retreated to the back, in total disbelief at Briscoe, who seemed out of his mind!

“He was trying to burn the face off Buddy Matthews!” said Nigel.

All-Star 8-Man Scramble Qualifier Match!

“Bounty Hunter” Bryan Keith vs. Top Flight’s Dante Martin vs. Penta El Zero Miedo!

Keith and Martin clobbered Penta with double thrust kicks. Dante rocked Bryan Keith with a rising knee strike. Penta fired back with a sling blade on Dante. Penta followed up with a backstabber on Dante. 

Bryan Keith cut off Penta and hit him with an exploder suplex. Penta and Bryan exchanged forearms, but Dante jumped off the top turnbuckle with a cross body press to both of them. Dante dished out tope suicidas to Bryan Keith and Penta El Zero Miedo!

Penta El Zero Miedo used Bryan Keith’s back as a launching pad and then drilled Dante with a Canadian Destroyer for a near fall! Bryan Keith crunched Penta with a headbutt to the jaw. Keith cracked Dante with his knee and then a powerbomb for a two-count. 

The fans chanted “This is awesome! This is awesome!”

Penta El Zero Miedo and Bryan Keith traded chops on the ring apron. Penta smashed Keith with a Fear Factor right on the apron! Dante sprung out of nowhere with a Destroyer to Penta! Dante quickly climbed the turnbuckles, seizing the opportunity, hit the frog splash on Bryan Keith and pinned him!

Dante Martin advances to the All-Star 8-Man Scramble taking place tomorrow at REVOLUTION, live on pay-per-view!

Mariah May vs. Angelica Risk!

May rocked Risk with overhead chops. Mariah May set up Angelica in the ropes and dropkicked her from behind. May followed up with a shotgun dropkick. Mariah May smashed Risk with a knee strike. Mariah finished off Risk with the May Day and scored the pin!

After the match, AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm came to the ring! 

Storm: “Deonna Purrazzo, I must speak with you right now! Please come to this ring, this instance!”

“The Virtuosa” Deonna Purrazzo made her way to the ring!

Storm: “Deonna, please, hasn’t thing gone far enough? Look at what we’ve become. Is this really what we trained for, Deonna Our friendship was destroyed. All just to win a match. Is it worth it? From the bottom of my heart, I love you, I do. I love your abilities, your determination, and I love that there is only room for one and as long as I shall live and breathe, it will never be you!”

Purrazzo: “Toni, I love you too. I love that you have your head so far up your own ass you’re going to lose the one thing that started this to begin with. I love that you have forgotten the most important detail about me. I am the best friend and the worst enemy!”

Storm: “Very well. Goodbye old friend.”

Toni Storm applied lip stick and then kissed the cheek of Deonna, and Deonna smacked Storm with a right punch! Deonna grounded and pounded Storm until Mariah May stepped into the ring and yanked Deonna by the hair, pulling her off the champ! Toni left the ring, with Luther helping her to the back. Austin jabbed at Reynolds. Caster tagged in and Caster and Austin hit a double arm drag on Alex Reynolds. Caster body slammed Evil Uno. Bowens dropped the Scissor Me Timber on Evil Uno!

Evil Uno drilled Austin Gunn with a DDT. The Dark Order worked over Austin in their corner. Austin nailed Uno with a neck breaker. Bowens got the hot tag and cleaned house on the Dark Order. 

John Silver hurled Austin overhead with a German Suplex. Reynolds inadvertently clocked Silver with a rolling elbow. “Platinum” Max Caster smashed Reynolds with the Mic Drop and pinned him!

Lexy Nair was backstage to interview Willow Nightingale, Kris Statlander, and Stokely Hathaway!

Willow said they needed to get on the same page, because tomorrow’s match pitting Willow and Kris against Julia Hart and Skye Blue is not about friendship, it is REVOLUTION. “So, Julie and Skye, Stat and I are going to kick your ass!”

In the ring, Tony Schiavone interviewed Wardlow ahead of the All-Star 8-Man Scramble at REVOLUTION tomorrow!

Wardlow: “Looks like I finally got someone’s attention around here. Two years ago, I won the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match. One year ago, I choked out your king. This year finally I get my shot at the World championship after I beat all the other ‘all stars’ in the match. But who’s it going to be? Wardlow against ‘Hangman’ Adam Page? Doesn’t matter, I’ll slap his moustache off. 

“Maybe it’ll be Wardlow versus Swerve. I’m going to kick the front door of Swerve’s house down. So, swerve back into your own lane and dance your ass to the back of the line. Or is it going to be Wardlow versus Samoa Joe? I am so sick of hearing you people chant ‘Joe! Joe! Joe!’ You know what? I hope it is you Joe, because everybody knows you’re in my spot! And this time I am going to finish the job. Not only am I going to take my spot, my title, I am going to beat you so bad that you’ll be forced to put on a headset and sit at that announce table where you belong. 

“Tomorrow night I remind everyone that I am still the face of the revolution. I am the uncrowned king. Because this is no longer wrestling. This is war!”

Chris Jericho’s music began to play! Jericho stepped onto the ramp!

Jericho: “What exactly is it that you’re talking about? You mention Swerve, Hangman, and Samoa Joe, but you’re not fighting them tomorrow at Revolution. You’re in the All-Star Scramble, and I don’t know if you know me, I’m Chris Jericho. I’m not an ‘All-Star’. I’m one of the greatest to ever do this. 

“And if you think you’re just going to pass over me and six of the greatest performers in AEW and worldwide, I’m going to give you some information. I am Chris Jericho. They call me ‘The Ocho’ because I am 8-time World champion, and more importantly, I am the first AEW World champion. So, the way that I see it, that’s Jericho 8, Wardlow 0, because you ain’t won s—t!

“So, before you disrespect me and say you’re going straight to the front of the line, I want to remind you that it’s been four years since I lost that title to Jon Moxley in one of the greatest matches in AEW. So tomorrow at Revolution, this isn’t just another match for me, it’s a chance for me to get back to being AEW World champion, because I know I’m good enough. Are you? Because you’re complaining so much about being overlooked and pushed aside. Did you ever think the reason people stopped chanting your name is because you just weren’t as good as you think you are, Mike.”

Wardlow: “You know what Chris? You’re absolutely right. Because I was this close to the top of the mountain. I could damn near reach it, and after Double or Nothing I show up to work just to take a step backwards. And then the next week, a step down from the mountain. And then a step backwards, and then a step down, and then a step backwards, and then a step down. And yeah Chris, it pissed me off, to the point that I let it eat me away. To the point where I let it ruin my personal life. I lost me. 

“But after sitting at home for three months with no explanation and no phone call, I slowly started to remember who I am. And I did what I have done so many times in my life. I picked myself up off the floor, put myself back together, and come back here to remind everyone who I am. I am the biggest, baddest SOB to step foot in a wrestling ring. I don’t care how many titles you’ve won, and as I said a week ago, I am done eating your scraps. I’m right here. Come down here because I’d like to show you who the hell I am!”

Jericho: “If you want me to come down there, I’ll take the rocket and shove it up your ass in front of all these people!”

Jericho began to approach the ring when Powerhouse Hobbs ambushed Jericho from behind!

Hobbs pummeled Jericho on the ramp. Hobbs looked at Wardlow and taunted him! “One more day! Remember me!” said Hobbs.

Lexy Nair was backstage with Serena Deeb!

Deeb: “Not only am I undefeated, but I’m also unstoppable, putting on clinic after clinic here in AEW. Nobody has really challenged me in the ring here. To be honest I don’t think the competition that I have faced in the ring would know the difference between a wrist lock and a wristwatch. So, if you’re listening and watching and consider yourself one of the best, step into Deeb’s dojo. Step into my home turf and test yourself against the most elite wrestler because I’ll be here each week to show why I am the final boss!”

Private Party—Isiah Kassidy & Marq Quen

“The Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels & Matt Sydal!

Daniels taunted Quen and then took him down with an arm drag. Daniels clobbered Quen with a clothesline from behind. Sydal tagged in and cleaned house on Private Party with devastating kicks. He followed up with a double hurracanrana. Sydal smashed Quen with an Air Raid Crash for a near fall.

Daniels delivered the Angels Wings on Quen, but Jeff Jarrett’s crew came down to the ring to distract the ref! Jay Lethal blasted Daniels with the Lethal Combination! Lethal grabbed Marq Quen and placed him on top of Daniels. The ref turned around and counted the pin, and Private Party were victorious.

Jeff Jarrett, Karen Jarrett, Sonjay Dutt, Satnam Singh, and Jay Lethal celebrated with Private Party after the match.

“Is this a new allegiance?” wondered Nigel.

Thunder Rosa vs. Cassandra Golden!

Thunder Rosa cracked Cassandra with a chop to the chest. Rosa dodged a splash and countered with a shotgun dropkick. Thunder Rosa followed up with a running dropkick. Thunder Rosa pounded Golden with a double stomp off the top rope. Thunder Rosa applied an arm bar and forced Golden to tap out!

TNT Champion Christian Cage, “The Machine” Brian Cage, Killswitch, & Roderick Strong!

Matt Menard joined the commentary team for this match.

Roderick Strong and Daniel Garcia locked up. They chain wrestled and Roddy grabbed a wrist lock. Garcia chopped away at Roddy. Cage came in without a tag and ate a shot from Hook. Both teams got in the ring, all eight men having a stand off!

Brian Cage deadlift superplexed Garcia. Roderick tagged in and nailed Garcia with a back breaker. Christian Cage grabbed a tag and he and Roderick worked over Garcia in the corner. Cage tagged in and stomped Daniel Garcia.

Garcia countered a suplex from Cage with a DDT. Garcia made the tag to Trent. Trent came in and cleaned house on the opposing team! Trent went for a tope suicida, but Killswitch caught him with a chokeslam on the apron!

Orange Cassidy entered the fray and crunched Cage with the Stun Dog Millionaire! Orange followed up with a tope suicida to Roderick Strong. Orange drilled Cage with a spinning DDT for a near fall! Killswitch came in from behind and tried to double chokeslam Orange and Garcia, but they blocked it. Orange pulped Killswitch with the Orange Punch! Garcia rocked Killswitch with a running knee strike.

Roderick ran in with a big boot to Cassidy’s face. Garcia grabbed Strong and planted him with a suplex. Christian Cage sprung through the ropes with a spear to Daniel Garcia! When Christian Cage turned around, Hook was waiting for him and sent Christian soaring with a suplex. 

“Did you see how high Christian got?” asked Daddy Magic.

Brian Cage had Hook in his clutches, though, and walloped the FTW champ with a full nelson slam. Brian Cage blocked an Orange Punch from Cassidy. Cage face planted Orange and went for the cover, but Garcia and Hook broke it up!

As both teams battled in a chaotic scene, Orange tried for a tope suicida to Roderick Strong but Strong blocked it, countering with the End of Heartache on the arena floor! Trent had a sleeper on Killswitch and got Killswitch down to one knee. Killswitch escaped and tossed Trent hard to the mat. Roderick had Orange in the Stronghold outside the ring. Killswitch battered Trent with a headbutt to the chest! Trent retaliated with a thrust kick. Nick Wayne interfered, clubbing Trent from behind, but the ref didn’t see it. Killswitch clocked Trent from behind with a clothesline and pinned him!

Killswitch was planning to chokeslam Garcia onto a steel chair, but Matt Menard jumped into the ring. Killswitch cut him off with a headbutt. Killswitch choke slammed Menard onto the steel chair!

What a wild main event for the last episode of AEW television before REVOLUTION 2024 airs on pay-per-view Sunday night! Stemming out of Orange Cassidy’s International Championship defense on  Wednesday’s DYNAMITE, this eight-man tag team bout is pulling together so many threads that have become entangled. Obviously there’s the AEW International Championship match between OC and Roderick Strong going down on Sunday that facilitates their involvement in this bout, then there’s the issues “The Machine” Brian Cage has with FTW Champion HOOK that have preoccupied him for weeks now, and of course we have Daniel Garcia and Christian Cage on a collision course for the TNT Championship as well. 

And though they are on the periphery of these assorted fights, Trent Beretta is searching to even the score with The Undisputed Kingdom for taking him out several weeks ago, and Killshot is there to do whatever Christian Cage bids. That’s the situation for this fight on Saturday night, and with so many moving pieces involved, the obvious question is how it will affect the events of REVOLUTION 2024? It’s a chance for the competitors on one side to get an advantage before the pay-per-view, but which side will that be?

Last week on RAMPAGE, Matt Sydal united with Private Party to take part in a Three Way Trios tag opposite Action Andretti & Top Flight and the unit of Penta El Zero Miedo, Komander, and Bryan Keith. Unfortunately Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen had to watch as Sydal lost the match for their trio, hampering Private Party’s hopes to work their way into the Trios rankings.

So this Saturday night on COLLISION, it looks like Private Party aim to pay Sydal back for blowing their opportunity, but thankfully for Matt he’s got a reliable partner in “The Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels! Former ROH Tag Team Champions nearly 20 years ago, last year the two men decided to try their hands at teaming once again, and though victory has eluded them thus far, they are still a threat to all those they oppose.

Will Private Party even their score with Sydal, or will bringing “The Fallen Angel” in for support be how Matt needs at his side to reach the level of success he’s been chasing since first coming to All Elite Wrestling?

As we first learned from AEW GM Tony Khan prior to DYNAMITE, due to several outside factors the scheduled Meat Madness bout had to be postponed, but that doesn’t mean we aren’t going to see some wild action at REVOLUTION 2024, only now it will come in the form of an All-Star 8-Man Scramble! Coming out of DYNAMITE we knew six of the men who would take part, and on RAMPAGE fans witnessed CMLL’s Magnus qualify for the bout as well.

Now this Saturday night, just twenty-four hours before REVOLUTION 2024 goes live on pay-per-view, one last man will qualify for the Scramble Match and get one step closer to earning a future AEW World Championship match! Bryan Kieth made such a tremendous impression on All Elite Wrestling over the last few months that he earned his way to an AEW contract, and now stands on the precipice of a championship match, but he has to find a way to survive a fight with both Top Flight’s Dante Martin and The Lucha Brothers Penta El Zero Miedo! These are three hungry competitors, all who have proven their willingness to push themselves to the limit in order to accomplish their goals, and this Saturday they share one lofty goal of heading to Greensboro, NC for REVOLUTION 2024!

Though all three could make the trip to the Coliseum, only one can do so as an actual competitor in the Scramble Match, but who will it be and what will they be willing to risk in order to get closer to a championship match?

Last week on COLLISION we witnessed The Bang Bang Scissor Gang mix things up, teaming AEW World Six-Man Champion Billy Gunn up with ROH World Six-Man Champions Colten Gunn and “Switchblade” Jay White to rather successful results. Sure there wasn’t perfect communication from the group, and Max Caster’s rap got screwed up, but ultimately they were victorious over the Iron Savages and Jacked Jameson.

This Saturday night they’re giving it a try once again, this time putting Austin Gunn alongside The Acclaimed, to take on one of the most experienced trios in AEW with The Dark Order. Alex Reynolds, John Silver, and Evil Uno have been together almost since the beginning of AEW, and enter into their nineteenth trios match with this fight on COLLISION. At 13-5, there are only a few active trios with better records than The Dark Order, whereas this will be the first time The Acclaimed and Austin Gunn have united as a trio.

Can this iteration of The Bang Bang Gang have the same kind of success as last week’s combination, or will the Trios experience of The Dark Order overcome the momentum the BBSG has built since coming together as a supergroup?

Blackpool Combat Club’s Claudio Castagnoli

vs. CMLL’s Mexican National Tag Team Champion Rugido!

 

Claudio’s power was too much for Rugido, chucking Rugido right down to the mat. Rugido fired back with a flying forearm shot. Rugido followed up with a tope suicida! Claudio clocked Rugido with a lariat and then began to stomp on Rugido.

 

Claudio dropped Rugido throat first across the barricade. In the ring, Claudio catapulted Rugido, Rugido’s throat hitting the bottom rope. Claudio arm dragged Rugido off the top rope for a near fall. Rugido nailed Claudio with a moonsault to the outside, shifting the momentum of the match.

 

Back in the ring, Rugido rocked Claudio with an overhead suplex for a two-count. Rugido headbutted Claudio, hammering away. Rugido powerslammed Claudio for a near fall. Rugido locked in an armbar, but Claudio escaped and transitioned to the Giant Swing! Claudio pummeled Rugido with hammer and anvil strikes and then planted him for the pinfall victory!

 

Claudio and Rugido shook hands after the match, but it was a trap, as Claudio kicked Rugido with a low blow! Magnus ran to the ring with a steel chair to even up the odds for Rugido, but Claudio retreated!

 

“The MurderHawk Monster” Lance Archer & The Righteous—Dutch & Vincent

vs.

Anaya, Luke Langley, & Vaught!

 

Vincent ran into Vaught with a boot. Dutch tagged in and power bombed Vaught. Langley tagged in but Dutch drilled him with a Bossman Slam! Archer entered the fray and annihilated all three members of the other team! Archer slammed Anaya off the top rope and down onto Langley, scoring the pin!

 

Riho vs. Trish Adora!

 

Adora rocked Riho with a shoulder block, Riho retaliated with a dropkick. Riho nailed Trish with a cross body press off the top to the outside!

 

Trish Adora spun Riho around with a neck breaker in the ring. Trish followed up with a back breaker, continuing to target that area of Riho’s body. Riho stunned Trish with a big cross body for a near fall. Riho took Trish down with head scissors. Riho hit a Northern Lights Suplex on Trish for a near fall.

 

Trish booted Riho in the head. Riho dodged a senton splash. Riho blasted Trish with a running double knee strike and pinned her!

 

“Riho won it, but she earned it!” said Tony.

 

“A hell of a battle,” added Matt Menard.

 

Alex Marvez was backstage to interview Ruby Soho and “Cool Hand” Angelo Parker before their date!

 

Saraya and Harley Cameron confronted Ruby.

 

Ruby: “What are you two doing here?”

 

Saraya’s brother Zak Knight ambushed Angelo Parker from behind, beating him down with a slapjack! Ruby screamed for someone to help Angelo.

 

Main Event Time! All-Star 8-Man Scramble Qualifier!

CMLL’s Mexican National Tag Team Champion Magnus vs. Matt Sydal!

 

Sydal wiped out Magnus with a hurracanrana. Sydal jumped off the top and to Magnus on the arena floor! Sydal followed up with a spinning kick on Magnus in the ring, and then a leg lariat. Magnus fired back with a back breaker for a near fall.

 

Magnus nailed Sydal with the Angel’s Wings for a two-count. Sydal attempted to springboard, but Magnus kicked the ropes, knocking Sydal down to the mat. Magnus attempted to superplex, but Sydal shoved him and clocked Magnus with the meteora for a near fall.

 

Magnus flattened Sydal with a leg drop across the throat. Magnus charged at Sydal in the corner and crushed him with a double knee strike, and then picked up the win via pin!

Tonight’s episode of AEW DYNAMITE was broadcast live from the Propst Arena at Von Braun Center in Huntsville, AL!

Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, and “The Human Suplex Machine” Taz were the broadcast team for tonight’s event.

It’s Wednesday night and you know what that means!

Opening the show: “Hangman” Adam Page had an important announcement ahead of this Sunday’s REVOLUTION pay-per-view!

“Hangman” Adam Page came to the ring using a crutch.

Adam Page: “Looks doesn’t look like a promising start to a speech, does it? When All Elite Wrestling started it was a new endeavor for my friends, but for me it was something different. It was a goal. It was an opportunity to rise to people’s expectations, to make the most of the world that was laid in front of me. And I’d like to think I did that, and I’d like to think of winning the World championship in 2021 as the biggest accomplishment of my career. That’s why it hurts so much to have that opportunity in front of me again and have this crutch.

“When AEW decided at REVOLUTION the World championship would be decided in a three-way match, I said it was B.S. and I meant it. And I suggested the World championship should be decided in a singles match, but it looks like I had the wrong two competitors. 

“So, I’m not going to apologize to Swerve or to Samoa Joe, but I will tell you, because I need to tell you the truth because I’m always honest with you that this Sunday at REVOLUTION I will not be able to compete.”

Swerve Strickland’s music began to play! Swerve walked onto the ramp with Prince Nana and then made his way to the ring.

Swerve: “These last six months, man, we’ve been to war. I tried to kill you, you tried to kill me. I didn’t expect this to happen. I targeted you because of everything you’ve accomplished in AEW. And to say I didn’t have the utmost respect for you because of that would be a flat out lie. But you suffered this unfortunate fate. And the thing about fate, you can’t escape it and you can’t stop destiny. And my destiny awaits for me this Sunday as I go on to become the AEW World champion.”

AEW World champion Samoa Joe walked onto the ramp with a microphone!

Samoa Joe: “Destiny? You boys are out here talking about destiny. What do we have here? Two of the most bitter enemies every trying to hug it out. A lot of lies being told out here so allow me to correct them and tell this audience a few truths. Week after week I watched you boys stare daggers into each other thinking that the destiny of this World championship was tearing the other man’s throat out. That’s only because you were avoiding making eye contact with me and realizing who the real man around here is.

Swerve: “Now you wait a second, Joe, because I’m going to explain to you who the hell I am! I am someone who has gone from being unemployed to headlining pay-per-views! I went from someone that went from being a cruiserweight to going after the World championship! I’ll do whatever it takes to become World champion! I’m not only a career maker, but I’m also a career changer! After I take the championship away from you, you’re not going to know what to do with yourself! You might want to go back to commentary wearing a poncho again. I am on the verge of making history! And this Sunday at REVOLUTION I will become the AEW World champion!”

“Hangman” Adam Page crack Swerve across the back with his crutch!

“Look at him! Hangman’s not injured at all!” said Excalibur.

Hangman bashed the crutch into Swerve’s head and Samoa Joe relished every moment from the ramp. 

“Hangman was lying this entire time!” said Excalibur.

“He won’t be champion! I’ll be champion, damn it!” screamed Hangman Page.

“Hangman is saying he’s going to be champion so apparently it’s still a three way match this Sunday at REVOLUTION live on pay-per-view,” said Excalibur.

Hangman stormed to the back, no problem putting weight on his ankle, while a referee and Prince Nana helped Swerve get to his feet.

Footage aired from earlier in the day of EVPs The Young Bucks—Matthew and Nicholas Jackson—arriving to the arena. Renee Paquette was there to interview them and ask about their meeting with “Nature Boy” Ric Flair!

Nicholas Jackson: “The meeting went great and that’s all I’ll say about that.”

Matthew Jackson: “Renee, have you seen Sting at all today? Because as this is his final Dynamite appearance, we’re just dying to see him and thank him for all his contributions to this company. And more importantly, we just want to conduct his exit interview.”

The Bucks laughed as they held white baseball bats.

Nicholas Jackson: “Sting, where you at? Cameraman, you’re going to want to follow us to see what we do to Sting.”

Trios Match!

Continental Crown Champion Eddie Kingston & FTR—Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood

vs.

The Blackpool Combat Club’s Bryan Danielson, Claudio Castagnoli, & Jon Moxley!

Claudio was perplexed as Kingston knocked him off his feet. Dax and Danielson tagged in for their respective teams. Dax hit Danielson with a shoulder block. Cash and Mox grabbed tags. Mox and Cash traded strikes in the corner. Both teams began to brawl, and the match quickly broke down!

Mox punched Cash in the face as Danielson held Cash back. Moxley applied a leg lock on Cash. Cash was able to escape and wiped out Mox with a hurracanrana. Dax tagged in and rocked Moxley with left jabs. Dax nailed Claudio with a neck breaker. Dax cradled Moxley for a near fall. Mox connected with a crossbody press on Moxley for a two-count.

Dax drilled Moxley with a Tiger Driver, but Danielson ran in to break up the pin attempt. Moxley rammed Dax into the steel ring post. Danielson grabbed Dax’s arm and wrenched on it. Then Danielson took down Kingston and hit a sliding dropkick on him on the arena floor.

Moxley and Claudio tied up Dax so Danielson could hit Dax with a diving headbutt. Kingston managed to tag in, and he and Danielson traded chops. Kingston sent Danielson flying with an exploder suplex. Kingston served up an exploder for Claudio. Kingston and Moxley blasted each other with strikes. Danielson booted Kingston. Claudio put Kingston in the Giant Swing and then Danielson dropkicked Eddie! Moxley spiked Kingston with a piledriver! Danielson covered Kingston for the pin, but Dax jumped in the ring to break it up.

The fans chanted “This is awesome! This is awesome!”

FTR cleaned house on Moxley and Claudio! Kingston cracked Danielson with a spinning backfist. FTR hit a diving bulldog on Danielson and Kingston covered Danielson for the pin, but Claudio and Mox broke it up!

All six men paired off and began to clobber each other with strikes. FTR connected with the Shatter Machine on Claudio! Mox DDT’ed Cash! Dax stunned Mox with a brain buster! Danielson charged at Dax with the running knee! Kingston went for the spinning backfist, but Danielson ducked it! Danielson sent Kingston overhead and to the mat with a shoulder capture suplex! Danielson drilled Kingston with the running knee! Danielson grabbed Kingston’s wrists and began to stomp on Kingston’s head. Danielson trapped Eddie in a triangle sleeper. The ref stopped the match and Danielson wouldn’t release the hold! The BCC won via ref stoppage!

Tony Schiavone was in the ring to welcome Will Ospreay to AEW!

Ospreay: “Guys, I don’t want to take up too much of your time. I just want to thank you for the reception. My obligations are done with New Japan. I’m here to say I’m here for full time work, I’m All Elite! But some of you are forgetting this isn’t my first rodeo here. On my first pay-per-view match, I beat Orange Cassidy in the center of this ring. Then I went over to Canada and beat Kenny Omega in front of 13,000 of his own people! And if that weren’t good enough, I pinned the first ever AEW World champion Chris Jericho at Wembley Stadium!

“I’ve been rolling with the Callis Family, everything’s been going smoothly, and I’m ready to pick up where I left off.”

Don Callis came to the ring with Powerhouse Hobbs and Takeshita!

Callis and Hobbs hugged Ospreay. Takeshita glared at Ospreay. 

Callis: “There’s nothing I like more than a Don Callis Family reunion. When I think about the talent, I think about Fletcher, Hobbs, Takeshita, and Ospreay, and it’s an embarrassment of riches. I love when you talk about all of those things we accomplished together. We top that by having the match of the decade, with the two best rope to rope wrestlers in the world, Takeshita and Ospreay! 

“And people ask me how I can pit two family members against each other. It’s like when Michael Jordan and Scotty Pippen would go hard against each other in practice, then they’d come together and win championships. At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter which one of you wins at REVOLUTION, the real winner after this match will be the Don Callis Family. Now shake hands, guys, this is going to be history making.”

Ospreay extended his hand and smiled, and Takeshita pulled Ospreay in. Then Takeshita tried to walk away but Ospreay pulled him. They smirked at each other, ahead of their match this Sunday.

Renee Paquette was backstage to interview the disrespected Eddie Kingston!

The Young Bucks interrupted, asking if Kingston or Renee had seen Sting anywhere. 

Matthew apologized and didn’t realize they were live. Nicholas pointed the baseball bat at Kingston and said he had a bone to pick with Kingston. Nicholas said that Kingston was talking crap on Collision, and the next time it’d be a fine. 

AEW International Championship Open Challenge!

“Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy (c.) 

vs. Nick Wayne (with TNT Champion Christian Cage, Mother Wayne, and KillSwitch)!

Nick Wayne was looking for Wayne’s World early on, but Orange dodged it. Wayne followed up with a diving uppercut. Nick Wayne moonsaulted off the middle turnbuckle and landed on Cassidy on the arena floor.

Orange tried to put some distance between him and Nick Wayne, but Nick vaulted over the top rope again and crashed onto Orange. Nick Wayne and Orange Cassidy jockeyed for position on the top turnbuckle. Christian swept out Orange’s legs. The ref ejected the Patriarchy from ringside for interfering. 

Orange Cassidy blasted Nick with a shotgun dropkick. Orange bounced Nick’s head off the turnbuckle pads. Orange planted Nick Wayne with a DDT for a near fall. Nick Wayne fired back with a fisherman’s suplex. Nick Wayne taunted Orange. Orange answered with a thrust kick. Orange pulped Wayne with a running PK! Orange rocked Wayne with a Beach Break for a near fall. 

The Undisputed Kingdom—Mike Bennett and Matt Taven—showed up at ringside to mock Orange. Nick Wayne hit Orange with a dragon suplex as Orange was distracted by Taven and Bennett. Rocky Romero and Trent ran to ringside to even up the odds for Orange, brawling with Bennett and Taven. As the ref was dealing with the ringside brawl, Nick Wayne ripped off a turnbuckle pad. Daniel Garcia walked to ringside and began to argue with Nick Wayne. Garcia is set to wrestle Christian Cage this Sunday at REVOLUTION. Nick Wayne turned around and ate an Orange Punch from Cassidy, and Cassidy scored the pin!

Roderick Strong jumped in the ring, ambushing Orange Cassidy with a jumping knee strike!

Renee Paquette was backstage with the Bang Bang Scissor Gang!

They agreed they were gelling as a team, and on Collision this Saturday it’ll be Austin Gunn teaming with the Acclaimed. 

Kris Statlander (with Stokely Hathaway and Willow Nightingale) 

vs. Skye Blue (with TBS Champion Julia Hart)!

After an aggressive start by Skye, Kris flung Skye halfway across the ring. Skye escaped and body slam and yanked Kris down to the mat by her hair. Kris came back with a senton for a near fall. 

Skye Blue cracked Kris with a knee to the face. Kris press slammed Blue over the barricade and onto fans at ringside! Back in the ring, they traded forearms. Kris hammered Skye with a lariat. Kris powerslammed Skye out of the corner for a two-count. 

Skye came back with a neck breaker for a near fall. Statlander drilled Skye with a German Suplex on the apron! Julia Hart checked on Skye. Julia gave Kris a nasty look before Willow stepped up and got in Julia’s face. Statlander charged at Skye, but Skye countered with a drop toehold, bashing Statlander headfirst into the steel ring steps! Blue crushed Kris with a Canadian Destroyer! Skye rolled up Kris in a cradle but somehow Kris Statlander kicked out!

Statlander pulled Skye off the turnbuckles and down onto the mat with an iconoclasm! Statlander planted Skye for a near fall. Stokely offered Kris a steel chain to use, but Willow discouraged her from using it. As the ref was telling Stokely to put the chain away, Julia Hart jumped in the ring and hit Kris in the head with the TBS championship belt! Skye followed up with the Code Blue and pinned Kris Statlander!

EVPs Matthew and Nicholas Jackson continued their search for Sting backstage! 

They found Sting’s dressing room and went in! There were black baseball bats hanging from the ceiling, but no Stinger! Nicholas said Sting was playing mind games, and Matthew agreed, saying it was sick.

“Lionheart” Chris Jericho vs. CMLL’s Atlantis Jr. (accompanied by Atlantis)!

They slugged it out early on. Atlantis Jr. connected with a high crossbody press from the top rope. Atlantis Jr. sent Jericho flying with a monkey flip. Jericho retaliated with the Walls of Jericho, but Atlantis reached the ropes, forcing the ref to break the hold. Jericho tried to rip off Atlantis Jr.’s mask but Atlantis Jr.’s fought back. As the ref was helping to tie the mask back on Atlantis Jr., Atlantis Sr. choked Jericho with a towel on the other side of the ring!

Atlantis Jr. hit Jericho with a tope suicida, sending Jericho crashing hard into the barricade. Atlantis Jr. catapulted Jericho into the steel ring post. Atlantis Jr. tried to powerbomb Jericho onto the steps, but Jericho reversed it with a hurracanrana!

Back in the ring, Atlantis Jr. sent Jericho down to the mat hard with an arm drag off the turnbuckles. Atlantis Jr. followed up with a wheelbarrow German Suplex for a near fall! Jericho and Atlantis Jr. fought on the top turnbuckle, and Jericho slammed Atlantis Jr.’s head onto the mat with a bulldog for a near fall!

Atlantis Jr. powerslammed Jericho for a two-count. Atlantis Jr. jumped over the top rope and wiped out Jericho on the arena floor! 

The fans chanted “This is awesome! This is awesome!”

Jericho battered Atlantis Jr. with shots on top of the head and then sent Atlantis Jr. soaring with a hurracanrana off the top rope! Atlantis Jr. avoided the Judas Effect from Jericho! Atlantis Jr. locked in his backbreaker finisher on Jericho, but Jericho countered with the Walls! Jericho sat back and Atlantis threw the towel in for his son, knowing his son had too much pride to tap out!

EVPs The Young Bucks, Matthew and Nicholas Jackson, came to the ring with their white baseball bats!

Nicholas and Matthew were pointing their bats at Sting fans. Nicholas put his into the face of one Sting fan at ringside, but the fan removed his Sting mask and revealed himself to be…Darby Allin! Darby jumped over the barricade and took the fight to the Young Bucks, opting not to wait until Sunday at REVOLUTION!

Matthew grabbed Darby’s leg and anchored him while Nicholas cracked Darby with a knee strike! The Bucks had Darby outnumbered and began to double team him with a vicious assault, using their baseball bats! The Bucks held Darby in the ring, setting him up for the EVP Trigger and then sandwiching him with their knees!

“If the Bucks land the EVP Trigger this Sunday at REVOLUTION, we will have new AEW World Tag Team champions,” said Excalibur.

The Bucks continued their onslaught on Darby with their baseball bats! The Bucks called to the back and out came…

“The Nature Boy” Ric Flair! 

Flair came down to the ring as the Bucks beat down Darby. Matthew handed a baseball bat to Ric Flair. “The Nature Boy” poked Nicholas in the eyes! Flair chopped Matthew but Nicholas connected with a low blow to Flair from behind! The Bucks stomped Ric Flair!

Sting’s music began to play, and the Bucks didn’t wait, deciding to walk up the ramp with baseball bats in hand!

“Sting is walking into a trap here,” said Tony Schiavone.

Sting descended from the rafters, repelling from the top! Sting turned the tables on Matthew and Nicholas Jackson, hitting them with his baseball bat! Darby nailed the Bucks with a Coffin Drop!

“Listen to this crowd! It has come unglued for Sting!” said Excalibur.

Sting drilled Nicholas with a Scorpion Death Drop! 

“They were looking all day for Sting and the Bucks needed to look up…in the rafters,” said Tony Schiavone.

“Well Sting found them and exploded on the scene right here on Dynamite,” replied Taz.

Tonight’s AEW COLLISION was broadcast live from the Great Southern Bank Arena in Springfield, MO!

It’s Saturday night and you know what that means! Saturday night’s alright for fighting!

Nigel McGuinness, Kevin Kelly and Tony Schiavone were the broadcast team for tonight’s event.

The Don Callis Family’s Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Sammy Guevara!

“All members of the Don Callis Family have been barred from ringside,” said Kevin Kelly.

Sammy came out of the gates strong, hitting Hobbs with a cutter and then a lariat over the top rope.

“I’m a Collider now!” Sammy said, looking into the TV camera.

Sammy used the steel ring steps as a launch pad, however, Hobbs caught Sammy and planted Sammy with the World’s Strongest Slam onto the ring steps. Hobbs smashed Sammy onto the ring apron over and over again, manhandling Sammy with ease. Hobbs ordered Kevin Kelly to stand up and give him his belt. Hobbs whipped Sammy with the leather belt!

Sammy moved out of the way and connected with two thrust kicks to Hobbs. Sammy waffled Hobbs with a steel chair! Sammy nailed Hobbs with a cutter on the steps and then whipped Hobbs with the belt, turnaround being fair play!

Sammy pulled a table from beneath the ring and set it up on the arena floor. Sammy pulled a second table out and set it up beside the first table. Sammy climbed to the top turnbuckle and leaped at Hobbs, but Hobbs countered by smashing Sammy through the tables with a spinebuster off the apron!

Back in the ring, Sammy dodged a splash from Hobbs. Sammy hoisted up Hobbs on his shoulders and rocked Hobbs with the GTH for a near fall! Sammy grabbed a monitor from ringside and smashed it into Hobbs’ head. Sammy pulled out another table and placed it in the ring, but Hobbs was waiting for him with a lariat. Sammy fired back with a thrust kick. Sammy went for a cutter but got caught by Hobbs who countered with the World’s Strongest Slam. 

Hobbs set up two tables at ringside. Hobbs picked up Sammy and charged at the ring post, but Sammy escaped and shoved Hobbs headfirst into the post. Sammy took two beer bottles from fans at ringside and cracked them over Hobbs’ head!

“I’ve never seen that, and I’ve seen a lot of stuff in wrestling,” said Schiavone.

Sammy pulled a giant ladder from beneath the ring and slid it into the ring. Sammy climbed the ladder and nailed Hobbs with a senton, crashing through the tables.

The fans chanted “This is awesome! This is awesome!”

Sammy climbed the turnbuckles, but Hobbs shoved the referee who collided with Sammy. Hobbs hit the World’s Strongest Slam of the turnbuckles, smashing Sammy through tables and pinning Sammy!

Blackpool Combat Club’s Claudio Castagnoli and Jon Moxley were backstage with some strong words from FTR!

Moxley: “You pissed us off. You want to challenge us at Revolution? You want to pay homage to the art of tag team wrestling? We accept. The four of us will show the world that all that history is just that. We are the elite of the elite, and this game evolves.”

Claudio: “FTR, if you want to live in the past that’s fine. But if you want to step into the future, that path is through us. All you have to do is just be better than Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli.”

FTR—Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood

vs.

Shane Taylor Promotions’ Shane Taylor vs. Lee Moriarty!

Cash hit Lee with a back elbow and took him down with an arm whip. Dax tagged in and dropped a running elbow on the back of Lee’s head. Taylor grabbed a tag and Dax slid under Taylor’s legs, taking a step back. Dax connected with a shotgun dropkick, but Taylor answered with a lariat.

Taylor cracked Dax with a knee strike to the head. Taylor followed up with a side slam. Taylor tried for a splash off the turnbuckles, but Dax rolled out of the way. Moriarty tagged in but so did Cash! Cash Wheeler cleaned house on Taylor and Moriarty! 

Cash lifted up Lee for a vertical suplex, but Taylor tripped Cash. Taylor walloped Cash with a right hand from the apron while Lee rolled up Cash for a near fall. Cash picked up Lee and held him up for the Doomsday Device. Dax drilled Moriarty and scored the pin!

Cash: “So a few weeks ago Jon Moxley said step up and get stepped on. We’re like a couple of cockroaches. It’ll take more than a step on to kill us. If you have anything else to say to us tonight, you’ll know where we’ll be.”

Dax: “Jon and Claudio, you talked about how we’re a throwback to the past. That’s not what this is about. Mox you’ve been here since almost the beginning. For almost five years you’ve been the king. This is your castle. This is your house. And I see you and I see Claudio and I see Bryan and you walk around the back, and they cower because they’re afraid of you. I think you’re pissed off because we ain’t scared of you.

“If you are the king, if this is your castle, to be a king, you’ve got to kill a king. At Revolution we’re coming for your head. Top guys, out!”

Thunder Rosa vs. Lady Bird Monroe!

Thunder Rosa chopped at Monroe. Thunder Rosa drove a knee into Monroe’s face and followed up with a flying dropkick. Thunder Rosa planted Monroe with the Tijuana Bomb and scored the pinfall victory!

“You see this, I’m climbing the ladder. This is my time,” said Thunder Rosa.

Renee Paquette was backstage with Kris Statlander, Willow Nightingale, and Stokely Hathaway!

Stokely: “I don’t appreciate the hostility shown from Skye Blue and Julia Hart.”

Statlander: “Skye, you are looking for a fight. And you and I are one and one. So how about next week I beat your ass!”

Trios Match!

Bang Bang Scissor Gang—Jay White, Daddy Ass, and Colten Gunn

vs.

The Iron Savages!

Bronson was shoved into Beefcake Boulder by Billy! Colten dropkicked Bronson after getting the tag. The Iron Savages triple teamed Colten in the corner. Beefcake Boulder planted Colten hard with a vertical suplex. 

Jay White tagged in and cleaned house on the Iron Savages. White chopped Jack in the corner. Jay White finished Jack with the Blade Runner and pinned him in decisive fashion!

Lexy Nair interviewed Bryan Danielson backstage ahead of his match tonight with Jun Akiyama!

Danielson said that Eddie Kingston was going to be on commentary and that Akiyama was Kingston’s hero. Danielson said he was going to beat Kingston’s hero! Danielson said he respected the legendary Akiyama. 

Danielson: “Do you know who I do not respect? Eddie Kingston! He said if he wins our match at Revolution, I’ll have to shake his hand. I do not respect Kingston. He is not a professional. He has wasted his potential until the last year. Not only do I not respect him, his wasted potential pisses me off, and that’s why I’m going to beat him at Revolution for the Continental Crown!”

“The Bounty Hunter” Bryan Keith vs. House of Black’s Malakai Black!

Keith booted Black in the face. Keith followed up with strikes in the corner. Black caught Keith in the left knee with a round kick. Black smashed Keith in the head with a forearm. 

Black blasted Keith with a straight kick, knocking Keith out of the ring. Keith got back in and wiped out Black with an exploder suplex! Keith followed up with a neck breaker across the knee for a near fall. 

Bryan Keith drilled Malakai with a DDT off the turnbuckles. Keith clocked Black with a rising headbutt. Black answered with his own headbutt. Black crushed Keith with a double foot stomp from the top rope. Black stunned Keith with a German Suplex for a near fall.

Keith power bombed Black out of nowhere for a two-count! Keith charged at Black but Black smashed Keith with a spinning heel kick and pinned Keith!

The arena lights went out! When the lights came back on, Mark Briscoe was in the ring with a kendo stick! Buddy Matthews and Brody King sprinted to the ring, but Briscoe cracked them with the kendo stick! Briscoe pulled a steel spike out of his boot and tried to hit Black with it! Black dodged it and Briscoe stabbed the turnbuckle. Malakai Black retaliated with a roundhouse kick to Mark Briscoe’s head! Brody drilled Briscoe with Dante’s Inferno!

“The Professor” Serena Deeb vs. Lady Frost!

Lady Frost dropkicked Deeb in the back. Deeb knocked Frost to the mat with a shoulder tackle. Deeb hit Frost with a dragon screw leg whip. Serena Deeb stunned Frost with a swinging neck breaker. 

Frost planted Deeb with the Chiller Driller, but Deeb kicked out at the two-count. Deeb ducked a spinning heel kick. Deeb clocked Frost with a clothesline. Deeb applied a single leg Boston Crab and Lady Frost tapped out!

Deeb: “The women’s division in AEW is heating up! I put the locker room on notice when I came back. Any single woman that wants to step in this ring or join this division, the Professor will be here waiting in the Deeb’s Dojo. Because I am here to elevate the women’s division. When the Professor is in the ring, I wrestle! And Serena Deeb is back to claim this division and put the wrestling back in All Elite Wrestling!”

Main Event Time! Blackpool Combat Club’s “American Dragon” Bryan Danielson

vs.

Japanese wrestling legend Jun Akiyama!

Continental Crown Champion Eddie Kingston was on commentary for this match.

They chain wrestled at the start of the match. Danielson stomped on the back of Jun’s knees. Jun transitioned to a cross arm breaker, but Bryan rolled through and escaped. Danielson went back to working on Akiyama’s legs. Jun gouged Danielson’s eye to escape.

Akiyama began to work on Danielson’s arm with a hammerlock. Danielson rolled, knocking Jun out of the ring. Danielson tried to capitalize with a tope suicida, but Jun countered with a forearm.

Danielson suplexed Jun on the arena floor. Danielson blasted Akiyama with a shotgun dropkick off the top turnbuckle. Danielson charged at Akiyama, but Akiyama countered with a lariat!

The fans chanted “This is awesome! This is awesome!”

Danielson applied the Le Bell Lock! Akiyama reached the ropes with his boots, forcing the ref to break the hold. Danielson climbed to the top turnbuckle but Akiyama decked Danielson with a right hand. Danielson headbutted Jun. Danielson jumped off the top but Jun countered with a big knee and a piledriver for a near fall!

Akiyama went for a running knee strike, but Danielson captured it and put Jun in an ankle lock. Danielson sent Jun flying overhead with a release German Suplex. Danielson dished out kicks, but Akiyama fired back with an Exploder for a two-count. 

Akiyama snatched Danielson in a guillotine choke. Danielson reached the ropes with his boot and the ref broke the hold. Akiyama nailed Danielson with an Exploder and then a knee strike! Danielson and Akiyama had the same idea—charging at one another with running knee strikes! Both men collided and fell to the mat. 

“This is a classic that we are watching,” said Tony Schiavone.

Both men slugged one another, trading forearms in the center of the ring. Danielson went down in a heap. Danielson drilled Jun with a knee strike right under the chin. Danielson charged at Jun with the running knee strike and pinned Akiyama!

Danielson looked at Kingston and smirked. Danielson shook Akiyama’s hand and then flipped off Kingston. Akiyama slapped Danielson in the face after seeing Danielson’s sign of disrespect to Kingston.

Danielson offered to shake Akiyama’s hand again as an apology and then kicked Akiyama between the legs. Kingston jumped in the ring and grounded and pounded Danielson. Claudio Castagnoli hit the ring and smothered Kingston while Danielson stomped on Kingston. 

FTR sprinted to the ring to even up the odds for Kingston! Danielson and Claudio began to brawl with FTR!

Tony Schiavone got word over the headset from Tony Khan that coming up on Wednesday on Dynamite there will be a trios match pitting FTR and Kingston against Mox, Claudio, and Danielson!

COLLISION returns to the airwaves this Saturday night with a collection of tremendous match-ups as we near the end of the road to REVOLUTION 2024! This week, the Great Southern Bank Arena in Springfield, MO hosts AEW’s Saturday night fights, and is going to be unforgettable, particularly when “The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson steps into the ring with the legendary Jun Akiyama for their very first singles match! They’ve dance a handful of times in tag and trios in their Pro Wrestling NOAH days, but for the first time it’s one-on-one, and the eyes of Continental Crown Champion Eddie Kingston will no doubt be on this fight! Plus, coming off a heated time limit draw with The BCC on Wednesday, FTR gets right back in the saddle with a tag team fight against Shane Taylor Promotions, and we will see both Thunder Rosa and Serena Deeb in action as each tries to climb back to the top of the mountain!

ONE-ON-ONE…

“The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson vs. Jun Akiyama

Four times over the course of his career “The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson has stood across the ring from Jun Akiyama, a man many refer to as the 5th Pillar of Heaven, placing him alongside Mitsuharu Misawa, Kenta Kobashi, Akira Taue, and Toshiaki Kawada in the grand tapestry of All Japan Pro Wrestling. All four of their meetings came together under the Pro Wrestling NOAH banner, but not a one saw the two combatants square off in a head-to-head match-up. The first, taking place on 11/29/06 during Danielson’s ROH World Championship reign, saw Bryan team up with the late, great Bison Smith to actually defeat Akiyama and Makoto Hashi, but their next two meetings would not follow suit.

4/23/07, as part of Bryan’s month long tour of NOAH, they would lock up again, this time in Trios competition, with Bison again siding with Bryan, and the pair joined by Joe Legend. This time out Akiyama had former GHC Heavyweight Champion Takeshi Rikio and junior heavyweight legend Yoshinobu Kanemaru at his side, and this time around it was Akiyama’s unit that picked up the win. They traded another victory on April 4, 2008 when Bryan returned to NOAH, this time alongside the team of D’Lo Brown and Buchanan, collectively known as RO&D, to defeat Akiyama, the late Atsushi Aoki, and once again, Takeshi Rikio.

The final encounter between these two men took place a month later, May 17th at Differ Ariake, this time with Bryan and Bison being joined by Akitoshi Saito, to defeated Jun Akiyama and the same partners as the April fight. So when it comes to the numbers of their history, somewhat surprisingly it is Bryan Danielson who holds the 3-1 advantage, but that’s without a singles encounter. This Saturday night on COLLISION that changes because Jun Akiyama is coming back to All Elite Wrestling to fight “The American Dragon” one-on-one!

Bryan has already had a strenuous 2024 in terms of his in-ring activities; he began the year by losing to Kazuchika Okada at WRESTLE KINGDOM 18, followed by an 8-Man loss to TMDK at NEW YEARS DASH!! 2024 before he returned to the United States. Since coming back to AEW, Bryan has been on a tear, scoring a tag team victory over Continental Champion Eddie Kingston and Ortiz, singles wins over Yuji Nagata and Hechicero, and a trios victory over the CMLL contingent. A speed bump came upon Bryan’s return to NJPW for THE NEW BEGINNING IN OSAKA 2024 when he fell to Zack Sabre Jr., but now he’s back home for the final leg leading to REVOLUTION 2024 where he will challenge Eddie Kingston for the Continental Crown. 

Now there are already many ties that bind Kingston and Danielson, but Saturday will add one more as it was back in November 2021 that Eddie Kingston and Ortiz first welcomed Jun Akiyama to AEW. Akiyama won that tag team bout, but would fall to “The Mad King” in a singles bout at FULL GEAR 2021: ZERO HOUR the next night. The respect built between those two nights actually led Akiyama to bring Kingston to DDT Pro Wrestling, as his partner, for the March 2023 DDT GOES HOLLYWOOD! event in Los Angeles. What began as a relationship of Kingston looking up to Akiyama as an idol developed into that of one as peers, one whose respect is built upon the fight, and perhaps that is why Danielson chose to take this match so close to his International Championship challenge against Kingston.

Perhaps Bryan took this to spit in the face of someone Kingston respects, to use Jun Akiyama to send Eddie a message, perhaps even an opportunity for Bryan to show the current KO-D Six Man Champion the complete lack of respect he also shows Eddie Kingston. Bryan’s insistence that this is his last full-time year as an in-ring competitor has led to some fantastic matches, with certainly more to come, but it is also beginning to feel like it is Danielson’s way to bolster his ego, and prove beyond any doubt that “The American Draagon” is the best wrestler in the world whether he’s active or not. It feels like an ego trip concealed as a farewell tour, but Jun Akiyama is not the man to use for such purposes. 

Not only does he hold that aforementioned KO-D championship, but he’s also a former 2-Time Triple Crown Champion, 3-Time GHC Heavyweight Champion, 7-Time AJPW World Tag Champion, and 4-Time All Asia Tag Team Champion, just to name a few. He’s wrestled, and beaten, legends like Stan Hansen, Misawa, Kobashi, Taue, as well as today’s greats in DDT Pro like Takeshita, MAO, and Rukiya. Akiyama is one of the last of his generation still competing, with only a few others like Satoshi Kojima and Yuji Nagata springing to mind as Akiyama’s contemporaries still fighting at the highest levels. 

All this is to say that Danielson should not approach Akiyama with the same disrespect he shows Eddie Kingston, or perhaps that’s the game Bryan is playing, showing respect to everyone he fights except the Continental Crown Champion. However this fight with Akiyama plays out, Danielson is going to feel it, and for his sake, he best hope it doesn’t compromise him for that championship fight at REVOLUTION 2024.

TAG TEAM THROWDOWN…

FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) vs. Shane Taylor Promotions (Lee Moriarty & Shane Taylor)

Coming off a tremendous 20-minute draw with Moxley and Claudio on DYNAMITE, FTR are jumping right back into action this Saturday night with a fight against opponents not all that different from The BCC duo. Shane Taylor is a hard-hitting, smashmouth fighter from Ohio who has no problem calling it as he sees it, and letting the world know how he feels. Lee Moriarty is a supremely skilled grappler, capable of tying a man up in knots inside the squared circle, but has proven to be just at home throwing elbows as he is chaining together holds. Together, STP has a mission of ascending to the AEW and ROH mountain tops, and they’ve actively put out the call for others to join in their quest:

Well this Saturday night, when faced with the 2-Time former AEW World Tag Champions, the men who held AAA, ROH, and IWGP Tag Gold simultaneously for six months, Shane Taylor and Lee Moriarty will have their chance to rumble with the best, and show the rest of the locker room why they are the team to ride with. After that unsatisfying result on DYNAMITE, and the potential for a rematch down the line, FTR is going to bring the fight to STP but best believe that STP will return it in kind. This is going to be a slugfest, of that there is little doubt, the only question is if what Dax and Cash went through on Wednesday has left them ripe for the picking or queued them up for more violence?

TRIOS MASH-UP…

The Bang Bang Scissor Gang (Colten Gunn, Daddy Ass, & Jay White) In Action!!!

Last week on RAMPAGE we witnessed The Bang Bang Scissor Gang compete in full force for the very first time, and they showed The Dark Order, Jeff Jarrett, Jay Lethal, and Satnam Singh just what they are capable of when operating in the same page. After everything that’s gone down between The Gunns and their father, as well as The Gunns and The Acclaimed, it had to have been simultaneously strange and exhilarating to be working together, but magic was made, of that there is no question.

But this week on COLLISION, with the cowboys coming back to town, they’ve decided to do it Trios style once more, but rather coming in as one of the units they’ve become accustomed to, or even simply put The Gunn Club back together for the night, “Switchblade” Jay White has mashed it all up to put himself, Colten Gunn, and Daddy Ass together for some Trios competition! Will this blending of ROH World Six-Man and AEW World Trios Champions be as successful as all six fighting together? With fewer individuals in the mix to distract, will Billy and Colten Gunn be able to remain cohesive given their complicated history in AEW? And just who will step into the ring with these champions to try and upset The BBSG?

Malakai Black vs. “Bounty Hunter” Bryan Keith

It has been more than 610 days since Malakai Black competed in a one-on-one match in All Elite Wrestling, and 608 days since the last time he fought in a match that wasn’t some sort of tag, trio, or multi-man contest. Mind you, that focus on multi-man competition paid off, up until a week ago The House of Black were the longest reigning AEW World Trios Champions since the titles incarnation, and collectively they remain one of, if not the, most imposing units in All Elite Wrestling. The House may have lost the Escape the Cage match against FTR and Daniel Garcia, but it isn’t because Malakai Black tasted true defeat, in fact in the realm of singles competition only one man has put Black’s shoulders to the mat since his Summer 2021 debut, and that was back on October 23rd of that year. 

Suffice it to say “Bounty Hunter” Bryan Keith, a man who only officially became All Elite three weeks ago, has his work cut out for him on COLLISION this Saturday night. Though he is coming into this fight off a RAMPAGE victory, that was in Trios competition and prior to that win, in his limited AEW experience, Keith had yet to score any victories, let alone in the singles ranks.

Will this be the night “Bounty Hunter” shocks the world and puts down the master of The House? Or will this night serve as Malakai Black’s herald, declaring to the world that he is stepping back into the singles ranks with the cruelest of intentions?

Sammy Guevara vs. Powerhouse Hobbs

Last night on RAMPAGE, Sammy Guevara called out Powerhouse Hobbs for a fight in response to being put through tables by the former TNT Champion. Unfortunately for “The Spanish God” the challenge did not go in his favor, as a devastating lariat, two spinebusters, and a World’s Most Dangerous Slam left Guevara a broken man at the feet of Hobbs and Don Callis. Yet he persists, despite the odds, despite the physical advantages Powerhouse Hobbs holds over Sammy, the young man persists in the fight. That should come as no surprise, after all this is the man who dethroned “The Redeemer” Miro to win the first of his three TNT Championship titles, Sammy clearly does not back down from a fight.

And a fight is what he will have this Saturday night on COLLISION when he faces Hobbs one-on-one, for the very first time, and in a No DQ match to boot! While this sounds like a situation just inviting the interference of the Don Callis Family, in an effort to level the playing field the entire Callis crew has been banned from the building, but so has Guevara’s main ally, Chris Jericho!

Will that ruling be enough for Sammy to knock down the mountain that is Powerhouse Hobbs? This No DQ situation may seem like the perfect playground for Guevara, especially looking at that fight with Jeff Hardy as a litmus test, but so too is it the perfect opportunity for Hobbs to become an untethered engine of destruction. This may be a situation of mutually assured destruction…

Thunder Rosa In Action!

Both Serena Deeb and former AEW Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa are on a mission, a mission to return to the top of the Women’s Division and claim (or reclaim in Thunder’s case) championship success. Both lost over a year of their careers fighting to get back into the ring, and both were able to return to the ring within a month of each other. For Rosa that moment came at the tail end of 2023 when COLLISION came to San Antonio right before Christmas while for Deeb it came in Bossier City, LA a month later, also on COLLISION, and for each it was cathartic. Imagine sitting on the sidelines for over year, watching others else be able to do the thing you love to do, while you are stuck struggling to be able to rejoin the fight. 

Whether it’s professional wrestling, music, reading, writing, whatever; each of us has something we love to do so imagine if suddenly you weren’t able to do that thing, and even after you felt you could do that thing, you still weren’t allowed to do that thing. That is the space where both Thunder Rosa and Serena Deeb have lived for far too long, but that longing to return to the ring has made each moment spent in it since their returns that much sweeter. This Saturday  night on COLLISION the joy of competing continues for each woman as they step back between the ropes, fully cognizant that not too long ago it seemed an impossibility, and they get ready to fight whoever is standing on the opposite side.

After almost losing these moments for good, each woman knows these are now ones to be cherished, but the sweetest moment, the one that makes the year-plus struggles worth it, will be the one when a championship belt is handed over and lofted high overhead in celebration. Who will get there first, and will their paths cross once more on the road to their shared goal?

We are just eight days away from REVOLUTION 2024 where “The Icon” Sting will have his final professional wrestling match, and COLLISION returns on Saturday night, emanating from the Great Southern Bank Arena in Springfield, MO with a loaded night of action! Action Andretti & Top Flight—Dante & Darius Martin

“The Bounty Hunter” Bryan Keith, Komander, & Penta El Zero Miedo

vs.

Matt Sydal & Private Party—Isiah Kassidy & Marq Quen!

Sydal used a side headlock takedown on Action Andretti. Action fired back with a dropkick, taking Sydal off his feet. Bryan Keith tagged in and booted Darius Martin in the face. Private Party utilized tandem offense on Keith.

Penta El Zero Miedo entered the fray. Dante Martin grabbed a blind tag from Kassidy and then the match broke down with all three teams brawling. Komander paired off with Dante in the ring and took him down with head scissors. Komander hit Dante with an arm drag off the ropes. Penta jumped in and connected with a Sling Blade on Dante.

Bryan Keith nailed Action with a neck breaker. Action used a handspring elbow and rocked both members of Private Party! Keith blasted Darius with a running boot, sending Darius spilling out to the arena floor. Komander locked up Sydal in a flying surfboard on the apron. Sydal escaped and crushed Komander with a meteora! Penta El Zero Miedo was right there to grab Sydal and impale him on the apron with the Fear Factor!

Private Party attempted the Gin & Juice on Penta, but Penta countered with a Destroyer on Kassidy! Keith headbutted Quen, knocking him off the top turnbuckle to the arena floor. Komander flew out of the ring with a tornillo and landed on the pile of wrestlers outside the ring! Penta El Zero Miedo spiked Sydal with the Fear Factor and pinned him!

Renee Paquette was backstage with Saraya and Harley Cameron!

Saraya: I don’t give a s—t about Ruby Soho!”

Harley: “Saraya, breathe with me. Feel better?”

Saraya: “So I have some business I have to talk to you about, Renee. You know how my family is like this big family wrestling royalty in the UK? Well, I have a special announcement I have to make. My brother, Zodiac Zack Knight has just become All Elite! Baby brother, come in here! Yeah, he’s scary, and this could have been yours, Ruby! I was going to set you up with him! You messed it up to go with someone greasy and slimy.”

Harley: “Look at him! He’s hot! Your whole family is hot!”

Saraya: “Anyway, things are about to get really spicy around here, Renee.”

AEW EVPs The Young Bucks—Matthew & Nicholas Jackson 

vs. Jonny Lyons & Cappuccino Jones!

Nick pummeled Lyons with strikes to the back. Matt tagged in and hit Lyons with a running forearm. Cappuccino grabbed a tag and ate a kick from Matt. Matt battered Cappuccino to the mat, shutting him down. Matt planted Jones with a DDT. Nick knocked Jones’ block off with a lariat. The Bucks spiked Jones with the Tony Khan Driver, then Matt pinned Jones!

After the match, the Bucks invited Tony Schiavone into the ring. 

Nick: “We’re not going to attack you, Tony. More than a week ago you interviewed us in this ring. I swear to God I tripped on my shoe and accidentally knocked you down. I just wanted to clear the air and apologize to you right here. I am so sorry.”

Matt: “And to show you how sorry we are, we went and got you this $25 Amazon gift card. We love you. We are sorry. That’s not the only thing we’re sorry about. We’re also sorry that we can’t get Darby Allin and Sting’s bloodstains out of our $5000 white suits. 

“There are a couple things we’re not going to be too sorry about, Tony. The first thing is going to be beating the hell out of Darby Allin at Revolution for all the trash he talked about us publicly on television. And the thing we’re going to be least apologetic about will be when we take Sting, and we pin him to the mat, and we say goodbye and we say farewell to one of the most legendary careers of all time.

“Stinger, you can call us Father Time. Because just like Father Time, we’re undefeated. And just like Father Time, we’re coming for you.”

In the next segment, Tony Schiavone interviewed Sammy Guevara in the ring!

Sammy: “Last week I got in the ring with my childhood hero, Jeff Hardy. But on the other hand, I’m mad, Will Hobbs put me through a table. Will Hobbs, I always said you had endless potential. But alone. You don’t need Don Callis sucking the life out of your career. But it is too late because I am mad. So enough talking. Get your ass out here now!”

Don Callis walked down the ramp!

Callis: “You’re back at work after nursing the child? The only thing you’ve done of note in the past six months is reproduce and you shouldn’t be proud of that. Dogs do it. Even these people can do it. You used to be a great athlete, Sammy. You used to be a guy I wanted in the Don Callis Family. Now you’ve become like so many. You’ve become weak.”

Powerhouse Hobbs jumped in the ring to ambush Sammy, but Sammy dodged Hobbs and drilled him with a thrust kick! Sammy flew over the top rope and wiped out Hobbs on the arena floor! Sammy smashed a steel chair into the spine of Hobbs! Sammy tried to hoist up Hobbs for the GTH, but Hobbs countered with a spinebuster! Hobbs hit a second spinebuster! Hobbs crushed Sammy with the World’s Most Dangerous Slam!

“The message has been sent and Hobbs will not rest until Sammy is done!” said Excalibur.

Skye Blue was backstage with some strong words!

Blue: “I had that match won if it wasn’t for some sad excuse of a man. I had that match won and I deserved it.”

TBS Champion Julia Hart walked up to Skye to comfort her.

Julia: “Skye, it’s okay. We shall get our comeuppance. And while getting our revenge, I shall dig three graves. One for Willow, one for Statlander, and one for Stokely. Now who do you want first?”

Skye: “I want whoever is going to step up and fight me!”

Mariah May vs. Anna Jay!

Mariah May went for a dropkick but Anna side stepped it and followed up with a neck breaker. Mariah fired back with overhand chops. Mariah rocked Anna with a knee strike! Anna countered the May Day with the Queen Slayer, but Mariah backed up into the corner, escaping the hold. 

Mariah sent Anna soaring with a handstand hurracanrana out of the corner! Anna dodged a hip attack from Mariah. Anna nailed Mariah with a back breaker for a near fall. Anna applied the Queen Slayer, but Mariah hit Anna’s arm! Mariah annihilated Anna with the May Day in the center of the ring and pinned Anna!

Renee Paquette was backstage with Ruby Soho and Angelo Parker, who just returned from their date!

Ruby: “I think the date went really well!”

Parker: “It was incredible. I had a great time with you, Ruby.”

Ruby: “Saraya, you said you didn’t care about me. Here’s the reality of the situation. For the last year, you’ve told me that I needed you. But you needed me. You are sad and unhappy without me. But when you start talking about Angelo, we have a problem. I said I needed space from you. And in that space, I think I found something real in Angelo. Why don’t we invite everyone out next week, bring the crew, and we’ll shove this done your throat.”

Parker: “You’re very hot when you’re mad, by the way. Let’s go grab a drink.”

Roderick Strong (with ROH World Tag Champs Matt Taven & Mike Bennett) 

vs. Jake Hager!

Strong booted Hager in the jaw. Hager hurled Strong halfway across the ring! Roddy dodged a charging Hager. Roddy battered Hager to the mat. Hager retaliated with a running lariat for a near fall. 

Strong planted Hager with a suplex. Taven and Bennett were about to chase Hornsby, the Drillers’ mascot, when International Champion Orange Cassidy came out to even up the odds! Orange pulled out Hager’s purple bucket hat and tossed it to him! Hager put the hat on and walloped Strong with running clotheslines. Hager followed up with a belly-to-belly suplex. Hager splashed Roddy with the Hager Bomb for a near fall. 

The numbers advantage was too much for Orange as Taven and Bennett got the upper hand on him. Back in the ring, Roddy connected with a jawbreaker on Hager. Jake Hager planted Roddy with the Doctor Bomb for a two-count. Hager applied the ankle lock, but Taven was distracted by Bennett and Taven, who jumped on the ring apron! Roderick Strong drilled Hager with a jumping knee strike right on the jaw. Hager crumbled and Strong won via pinfall!

Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, and “The Human Suplex Machine” Taz were the broadcast team for tonight’s event.

It’s Wednesday night and you know what that means!

Blackpool Combat Club’s Claudio Castagnoli & Jon Moxley

vs.

FTR—Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood!

Cash grabbed a single leg on Mox, and Mox returned with a forearm. Mox tagged out to Claudio and Claudio blasted Cash with European uppercuts. Cash swept out Claudio’s leg and tagged out to Dax. Claudio booted Dax in the midsection and then body slammed Dax.

Dax retaliated with a snap suplex on Moxley. Dax hit a leg drop across the bridge of Moxley’s nose, good for a two count. Cash tagged in and Mox went for a rear naked choke, but Cash lowered his hips, using Mox’s momentum to knock him out of the ring. Mox was infuriated and jumped right back in the ring, bowing right up to Cash head-to-head. They exchanged forearms in the center of the ring. 

Dax headbutted Mox outside of the ring, but Claudio ambushed Dax with a European uppercut. Moxley flew out of the ring with a tope directed at Cash, but Dax shoved his partner out of the way, acting as a human shield, and Dax took the brunt of Moxley’s force. After Moxley landed, Cash shoved him into the steel ring steps. FTR pummeled Moxley in their corner with an onslaught of strikes. 

FTR catapulted Moxley into the bottom rope, throat first. Moxley blasted Dax with a King Kong lariat and then tagged Claudio. Claudio smothered Dax with European uppercuts. Claudio managed to hoist up both members of FTR at the same time and planted them!

“Claudio with superhuman strength!” said Excalibur.

Outside the ring, Moxley spiked Dax on the arena floor with a stuffed piledriver when Claudio jumped off the apron with an assist! Back in the ring, Dax displayed his fighting spirit, dodging Claudio and tagged out to Cash Wheeler. Cash cleaned house on the BCC!

Cash countered a Paradigm Shift from Mox with a brain buster for a near fall. Justin Roberts announced that five minutes remained. Cash hoisted up Moxley and then Dax jumped off the top rope with a leg drop for a near fall on Moxley. 

“That was super close there,” said Taz.

Dax superplexed Moxley while Cash went for a splash off the top rope, but Moxley countered by raising his knees into Cash’s ribs. With three minutes remaining, Claudio whipped Dax around the ring with the Giant Swing! Moxley dropkicked Dax in the head and covered him, but Dax kicked out at the two-count!

Moxley battered Dax with the hammer and anvil elbows and then applied a rear naked choke. Cash crawled back into the ring to try to break up the bulldog choke, but Claudio grabbed Cash and applied a rear naked choke on Cash. There were two minutes remaining.

“Dueling submissions,” said Taz.

Cash powered himself and Claudio up, getting to his feet, and then fell backwards on top of Moxley.

“Cash, out of sheer desperation, dropping his body weight and Claudio’s onto the pile to force Moxley to break his grip,” said Excalibur.

“Now that’s what you call multitasking. Good job by Cash,” replied Taz.

The fans chanted “This is awesome! This is awesome!”

Dax took Moxley off his feet and applied the sharpshooter. Claudio tried to boot Dax in the head, but Cash ran interference and German suplexed Claudio. Justin Roberts announced there was one minute remaining. 

Claudio wrapped up Cash in a sharpshooter, turned around and began to trade strikes with Dax, who had Moxley in a sharpshooter! Claudio and Dax relinquished their holds and began exchanging shots in the center of the ring! Dax spiked Claudio with a piledriver! Mox was there to cradle Dax with a crucifix, but Dax kicked out at two! Moxley went back to a rear naked choke on Dax, but Dax escaped. As Mox was looking for the King Kong lariat, FTR tried to counter with the Shatter Machine! As Cash lifted up Mox for his portion of the tandem finishing maneuver, time ran out and the bell rang!

The time limit expired, and the bout was declared a draw by Justin Roberts.

“I think if they had 10 more seconds, I think FTR lands that Shatter Machine and maybe wins the match,” said Excalibur.

“I agree, they were in the midst of a Shatter Machine, and the bell sounded, which stopped it,” replied Tony Schiavone. 

Both teams began to brawl until security and wrestlers from the locker room sprinted out to separate them!

Renee Paquette was backstage to interview AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy!

Renee wondered how Orange was doing after all of his matches these past few weeks, and if he was medically cleared to wrestle. Orange replied, “Well, that’s why Doc Sampson is standing here in the hallway. He’s going to let me know.” Doc Sampson said that Orange was cleared, barely, to compete. 

Orange: “If I’m cleared, I’m gonna wrestle.”

Orange said he was taking Trent’s place tonight.

Alex Marvez was backstage to interview FTR!

Dax: “We came here to kick BCC’s ass, because they think they run this place. We don’t bow down to nobody. Revolution is coming up, we don’t have a match, they don’t have a match so what I say is—”

The Blackpool Combat Club interrupted the interview, and both teams were separated by AEW security and officials once again!

AEW International Champion “Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy vs. ROH World Tag Champion Mike Bennett!

Orange charged at the Undisputed Kingdom as they were making their entrance and clobbered Taven with an Orange Punch! Cassidy stomped on Bennett in the corner. The ref pulled Orange back and Bennett seized the opportunity to hit Orange with a suplex.

Orange rallied back with a Stun Dog Millionaire and then he landed a DDT on Bennett. Roderick Strong ran down to the ring and jumped on the apron. The ref had to keep Roderick back and prevent him from entering the ring. As the ref was dealing with Roddy, Mike Bennett nailed Orange with a blatant low blow!

Bennett rocked Orange with a piledriver for a near fall. Bennett got overconfident and grabbed Tony Schiavone’s headset and began to insult Orange over the headset. When Bennett put the headset down on the announcers’ desk, Orange flew out of the ring with a tope!

“Bennett took his eyes off his opponent for a moment and paid the price,” said Excalibur.

Bennett fired back with a Death Valley Driver on Orange on the arena floor! Somehow Orange managed to clock Bennett with an Orange Punch!

“This guy is a machine!” said Taz.

Mike Bennett regained momentum with a Gotch style piledriver on Cassidy. Bennett hit two rolling elbow strikes on Orange. Bennett was looking for another piledriver, but Orange countered with the Beach Break out of nowhere and pinned Bennett!

Matt Taven jumped in the ring after the match and stomped Orange. Roderick Strong returned and was about to double team Orange when Jake Hager ran down to the ring! Hager cleaned house of the Undisputed Kingdom, coming to the aid of Orange Cassidy!

Tony Khan informed Excalibur over the headset that this Friday on Rampage it’ll be Roderick Strong versus Jake Hager!

Renee Paquette was backstage to interview Angelo Parker about his big date out tonight with Ruby Soho!

Ruby walked up to them smiling and told Renee she’d tell her all about it Friday night. Angelo offered his arm to Ruby and asked if she was ready to go. A white SUV pulled up and Ruby asked if that was their ride. Angelo said, “No, we’ve got a Lyft.” They walked away and “Nature Boy” Ric Flair exited the SUV!

Renee Paquette interviewed “Nature Boy” Ric Flair about Sting’s upcoming retirement match at Revolution!

Flair: “I’m disappointed. When I signed up for this, I thought I’d be a bigger part of the picture. I’m not upset with Sting, I’m just upset that I’m not more involved. I feel like I should be right in the middle of things, and I haven’t been. So, between you and me, I’m just going to explore some options. I’m not trying to put you in the middle, I’m just telling you the truth.”

Ric Flair walked away and knocked on a nearby dressing room door. The Young Bucks opened the door. Matthew Jackson asked Ric what he wanted. Ric asked if they had time. “Let’s talk,” replied Matthew, inviting Flair in. 

Tony Schiavone was in the ring to interview Daniel Garcia!

Tony said that after what happened to the “Rated R Superstar” Adam Copeland last week, Copeland is on the shelf and unable to compete. Tony said that at AEW Revolution, Daniel Garcia will get his shot at the TNT Championship against Christian Cage!

The fans chanted “You deserve it! You deserve it!”

Garcia: “A lot of the time I feel like I don’t deserve it, so thank you for saying that. I always felt like in this business I was destined for great things, but a couple months ago when I was at the lowest point of my life, I started to lose that confidence. I started to lose that feeling, I really did. But I knew that going through all that, three seconds is all I needed. And at the end of the Continental Classic, I got those three seconds. Those three seconds changed my life. 

“Every single time I got down, y’all picked me back up. Every time I danced, y’all danced with me. And I can’t thank you enough for helping me restore that feeling. And Adam Copeland, no one knows how that match would have ended last week, but I have full confidence that if that match went on any longer, I would have made you tap out.

“It’s not over between you and me. But the next time you see me I will be holding the TNT title! And that brings me to Revolution. Christian Cage, I have a message for you. When you step in the ring with me, I am going to take you down—”

TNT Champion Christian Cage walked onto the ramp with the Patriarchy—Nick Wayne, Killswitch, and Mother Wayne!

Christian Cage: “Adam Copeland will not have another chance at my TNT Championship ever! Do you understand me? Daniel, what happened to you last week was just a by-product of you standing in the ring with Adam Copeland, but it worked out pretty well for you because now you’re the number one contender for my TNT Championship at Revolution.

“You’ve been on a hell of a run lately, but I have to say, as much as I’d love to step in the ring with you, I really don’t think it should happen at Revolution. And it’s not that I don’t think you’re worthy, it’s that I don’t think you’re ready. You just want to make these people smile and be entertained with your dance moves. I just want to leave the arena every night as the most dominant TNT Champion of all time. 

“We both know why you’re the way you are, don’t we Daniel. I know something that these people don’t know. That you had a pretty dark childhood, didn’t you, Daniel? You didn’t have so many happy memories, did you? Do you know a Jackie Garcia that lives in Buffalo, NY? And can you confirm to me that Jackie was married to David Garcia And I understand that David Garcia is your father. And your father is dead. 

“Now wouldn’t it be a beautiful fairy tale ending for you to walk into Revolution with my TNT Championship, raise it above your head in memory of your late, great father, but let’s be honest, your father wasn’t so great, was he? He was a loser that lost his life to the bottle. And unlike him, I don’t want to hurt you, I want to help you. At Revolution, I don’t want to be your opponent, I want to be your father.”

Garcia: “Since you know so much about my dead father, why don’t you come to the ring, and I’ll put you in the ground right next to him!”

Christian Cage sent Nick Wayne to do his dirty work! Nick Wayne charged right at Garcia! Daniel Garcia side stepped Wayne and put him in the sharpshooter! Killswitch came down to the ring next! “Daddy Magic” Matt Menard, out of nowhere, smacked Killswitch in the back with a steel chair!

“This backfired on Christian Cage,” said Taz.

AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm (with Mariah May & Luther) 

vs. Sydni Winnell!

Toni stormed Sydni and stomped her in the corner. Toni grounded and pounded Sydni. Toni splashed Sydni and then clobbered her with a running bulldog. Toni hit the hip attack and then planted Sydni with the Storm Zero! Toni locked in the Break a Leg submission and then released it. Toni opted instead for the Venus De Milo and won via submission!

“The Virtuosa” Deonna Purrazzo vs. Madison Rayne!

Deonna took down Rayne with a snap mare. Deonna wiped out Rayne with a pump kick. Deonna smashed Madison with a knee strike to the face. Madison rolled up Deonna, but Deonna kicked out at the one-count. Deonna applied Toni Storm’s Break a Leg and forced Madison to tap out, sending a message to the AEW Women’s World Champion! After the match Toni ran into the ring and tried to whack Deonna with a shoe! Deonna ducked it and countered with a pump kick! Deonna swung at Mariah May but Mariah May backed up. Toni grabbed Deonna from behind and locked in the Break a Leg on Deonna!

AEW World Tag Team Champions had an important message for the Young Bucks—Mathew and Nicholas Jackson!

Darby: “When you’re this close to the end, you look back at life and it really puts things in perspective. The fame, the spotlight, the material things that we chase that don’t mean a thing. We were looking at some old photos today. Sting, is it okay if we show them to the Young Bucks?”

Sting: “Yeah.”

Darby showed a picture of Sting with Sting’s sons when they were children. Darby said when the photo was taken, Sting’s sons were about the same age as the Bucks’ kids are now. “This is this man’s flesh and blood. This is the only thing in life that matters in the end. It’s family,” said Darby.

Sting: “You hit the nail on the head, Darby. Family is all that matters. It strikes a nerve right now because in all my years as a pro wrestler, no one has ever messed with my own flesh and blood until you, Bucks. Lots going on in my own personal life in the last couple of weeks. The Bucks attacked my sons, and only seven days ago, my own father passed away. He was like a hero to me. He taught me right. Makes me think a lot about my own mortality. I used to think I was so invincible. Sometimes I do feel that way still, but time catches up to everyone, and it caught me for sure. I know I am truly not invincible. But one thing I do know. Everything I have left in me, I’m bringing to Revolution. You have a fight on your hands, Bucks, the fight of your life.”

Tony Schiavone interviewed Wardlow in the ring!

Wardlow: “Get out of my ring before I knock you down again! I’m pissed! I’ve been pissed off for a long time! Two years ago, I had thousands and thousands of people chanting my name, city after city in a manner that hasn’t been heard or seen in decades. I was the next big thing, but apparently the rocket that was strapped to my back was put upside down, because ever since, I have been driven into the ground and screwed over and over again.

“You would think the one true homegrown day one original AEW megastar would have been the champion a long time ago. But I’ve never received an opportunity for the AEW World title and people back there need to be fired and thrown in jail for that fact.

“But let’s look at some of the people who have held it. There’s kings, there’s gods, so what does that make me? Because the best in the world, the real heavyweight champion? I beat his ass like nobody has in his entire career. His body is still falling apart from me. Which brings me to our former champ, the guy who’s better than us and we know it. I squashed him like an insect. Which brings me to the most dangerous man in the room. Our king, the current champ, Samoa Joe. Can somebody remind me when he and I were in the ring? Oh yeah, that’s right, I choked his ass out and I beat him too!

“So again, I ask, what does that make me? Because it sounds like I’m the best in the world. It sounds like I’m better than you and you know it. It sounds like I’m the most dangerous man in the room. I am the uncrowned king of AEW and it is time that I start eating like one, because I have been starving! And I am done begin fed scraps! I am everything a World champion is supposed to be! And there is no one back there bigger, faster, or stronger than me! There’s no one that can stop me! And if anybody wants to get in my way, just know this is no longer wrestling. This is war!”

The Bang Bang Scissor Gang were backstage!

“Switchblade” Jay White suggested that on the next Collision, he, along with Colten and Billy team up as the Collision Cowboys representing the Bang Bang Scissor Gang. Bowens said it didn’t matter about the combo, the Bang Bang Scissor Gang ruled the world.

Excalibur announced that Will Ospreay will be on Dynamite next Wednesday night!

Tony Khan informed Excalibur that Wardlow will be competing in “Meat Madness” at Revolution!

Renee Paquette was backstage with the Don Callis Family!

Renee asked Don how Will Ospreay against Takeshita at Revolution will benefit the Don Callis Family. Callis said because win or lose, the two best rope to rope wrestlers will still be a part of the Don Callis Family. Callis said he was on his way to the UK in a private jet to pick up Ospreay. Callis said that Powerhouse Hobbs was going to do damage in “Meat Madness” at Revolution. Don said that the Don Callis Family and Sammy Guevara had a score to settle at Rampage!

Main Event! Trios Match!

AEW World Champion Samoa Joe, “The Machine” Brian Cage, & Swerve Strickland

vs.

FTW Champion HOOK, “Hangman” Adam Page, & Rob Van Dam!

Samoa Joe and Hook started the match for their respective teams. They locked horns and Joe planted Hook. Hook ran off the ropes and hit Joe with a forearm, taking Joe off his feet. Samoa Joe battered Hook in the corner.

Brian Cage tagged in and isolated Hook in the corner with chops. Hook escaped and tagged RVD. Van Dam was looking for a monkey flip, but Cage rammed RVD into the turnbuckles. Swerve grabbed a tag and ate a kick from Rob Van Dam. RVD used his powerful legs to monkey flip Swerve. 

Hangman tagged himself in and had a stare down with Swerve. They began to brawl and Hook and Cage had to peel their partners away. Samoa Joe tagged in and bulldozed Hook in the corner with strikes. Cage entered and rocked Hook with a delayed vertical suplex. 

Hook stunned Cage with a DDT. RVD tagged in and cleaned house with his educated feet! RVD crushed Swerve with the Rolling Thunder! Rob Van Dam smashed Cage with the 5-star frog splash. Samoa Joe ran in to break up the pin attempt!

Samoa Joe splashed Rob Van Dam in the corner. Samoa Joe rocked RVD with jabs. Joe headbutted RVD. Rob Van Dam took Samoa Joe off his feet with a springboard kick! Hangman tagged in and dished out a lariat to the back of Swerve’s head. Hangman reversed a power bomb from Cage with a hurracanrana! Hangman jumped off the top rope with a diving cross body press, but Brian Cage caught him! Hangman slipped free and drilled Cage with a Death Valley Driver for a near fall!

Samoa Joe jumped in and booted Page. Hook entered the fray and blasted Samoa Joe with a lariat. Swerve grabbed Hook and planted him with a brain buster! RVD jumped off the top rope and nailed Swerve with a kick. Cage connected with a pump handle power bomb on RVD! Page was looking to hit Cage with the Buckshot Lariat, but he spotted Swerve on the floor. Rather than go for the win, Page climbed to the top rope. Cage climbed up to superplex Page, but Hook got up behind Cage and German suplexed Cage! 

Hook locked Cage in the RedRum but Cage tagged Samoa Joe. Swerve grabbed Hook but Hook put Swerve in RedRum. Swerve escaped. Cage power bombed Hook! Swerve rocked Hook with the House Call kick! Swerve ducked the Buckshot Lariat from Page, but Page ended up walloping Cage with it!

Samoa Joe, Hangman Page, and Swerve Strickland met in the ring and glared at each other. Samoa Joe booted Page in the jaw. Samoa Joe followed up with a tope to Hangman, driving Hangman into the announcers’ desk. Swerve was on the apron and went to kick Page, but Page ducked, and Swerve inadvertently connected with Samoa Joe! Hangman Page grabbed Swerve off the apron and power bombed him through the announcers’ desk! Back in the ring, Samoa Joe ducked the Buckshot Lariat and countered with a powerslam to Hangman for a near fall! Samoa Joe tried for a Muscle Buster on Page but Page broke free! RVD jumped back into the ring, but Samoa Joe swarmed him in the corner. Hook snuck up behind Samoa Joe and sent him for a ride with a T-bone suplex! RVD headed to the top, looking for the 5-star Frog Splash, but Cage shoved RVD off the top! Cage wiped out Hook with a discus lariat! Samoa Joe locked in a rear naked choke and won for his team via ref stoppage!

“Wow, what a prelude to Revolution one week from Sunday,” said Tony Schiavone.

Tonight’s AEW COLLISION was broadcast live from The Dollar Loan Center in Henderson, NV!

It’s Saturday night and you know what that means! Saturday night’s alright for fighting!

Nigel McGuinness, Kevin Kelly and Tony Schiavone were the broadcast team for tonight’s event.

Blackpool Combat Club’s Claudio Castagnoli & Jon Moxley

vs.

CMLL’s Esfinge & Star Jr.

Moxley took down Star Jr with a side headlock. Moxley grabbed Star’s hair. Star escaped and put Mox in a submission until Claudio came in and broke up the hold with a boot to Star. Moxley swung at Star, but Star ducked it and smacked Moxley in the mush. Star and Esfinge were about to go for stereo topes, but the BCC walked away. Esfinge and Star pumped the brakes. 

Claudio tagged in and hurled Esfinge with the Giant Swing! Moxley grabbed a tag but so did Star Jr. Star shoved Claudio into Moxley. Star jumped off the top rope and took down both Moxley and Claudio. Esfinge and Star jumped out of the ring with a tope and a tope con hiro onto both members of the Blackpool Combat Club.

Star tried for a springboard, but Claudio countered with a European Uppercut. Moxley whipped Esfinge into the steel guardrail. Esfinge clocked Claudio with a thrust kick and then hit a monkey flip on Moxley. Esfinge tried to apply an Indian Death Lock pinning combo on Moxley, but Claudio jumped in to break up the pin. Star wiped out Moxley with a running lariat and then followed up with a tornillo on Claudio!

Moxley nearly decapitated Esfinge with a King Kong lariat for a near fall. Moxley ate a kick and then a risking knee strike from Moxley. Claudio gorilla press slammed Star right into a cutter from Moxley!

Claudio smashed Esfinge with the Ricola Bomb! Moxley put Star in an arm submission and forced him to tap out!

Moxley: “Gracias, amigos. You take that message back to CMLL in Mexico, or anywhere else in the world, and you tell any team that if they want to step up, they get stepped on!”

FTR—Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler—came down to the ring!

FTR had a stare down with BCC! It quickly escalated and the two teams traded fists!

“It did not take long for the fisticuffs to fly here,” said Tony Schiavone.

The locker room emptied as wrestlers and security guards tried to separate the BCC and FTR and contain them!

Daniel Garcia vs. Shane Taylor Promotion’s Shane Taylor (with Lee Moriarty)!

Matt Menard accompanied Garcia and then joined the broadcast booth for this match.

Taylor was throwing haymakers, but Garcia dodged them. Taylor knocked down Garcia with a shoulder block. Garcia came back with a dragon screw leg whip on Taylor. Shane Taylor shoved Garcia out of the ring with his leg. Taylor rammed Garcia into the ring apron and then whipped Garcia into the front row guardrail. 

Garcia got out of the way of Taylor’s leg drop. Garcia dropkicked Taylor in the legs and then stomped him in the corner. Taylor retaliated with a pop up powerbomb and then a nasty right hand for a near fall.

Garcia escaped a package piledriver when Taylor’s leg gave out. Garcia locked on a kneebar, and Taylor tapped!

“Five in a row on Collision for Daniel Garcia,” said Tony Schiavone. 

Lexy Nair interviewed Continental Champion Eddie Kingston backstage!

Kingston: “First off, Young Bucks, what you did on Dynamite was disgusting. You stole Sting and Darby’s thunder. Just like you Bryan Danielson. When you stole the thunder from Bryan Keith. That kind finally got a contract, and you took away his moment to get under his skin. Well, you did, and now I’m going to challenge you to a match at Revolution. 

“Me and you, one on one, but I’m going to add a little stipulation. At the end of this match, after I beat you, you’re going to have to shake my hand. Because I know you don’t respect me. So now after I beat you again, you have to shake my hand and act like you respect me. And I know, and I pray, that that legit eats you up inside.”

“The Machine” Brian Cage (with Prince Nana) vs. The Outrunners—Turbo Floyd & Truth Magnum!

“Chance”, the mascot of the Vegas Golden Knights, was ringside cheering on the Outrunners. 

Brian Cage hit a German release suplex on Truth. He double suplexed the Outrunners. Cage stepped on the head of Turbo and Turbo submitted! 

Chance did the Swerve dance with Prince Nana after the match. Brian Cage clubbed Chance from behind!

FTW Champion HOOK’s music began to play!

HOOK and Cage brawled on the ramp! The fight continued all the way to the back!

Lexy Nair was backstage with the Undisputed Kingdom and Tomohiro Ishii!

Taven: “I have a bone to pick with this goofy melvin right here. I used to be in Chaos and then one day I get knee surgery and no emails, no texts, no nothing from you Ishii!”

Roderick: “Ishii! None of that matters. The only thing that matters is if you win tonight, March 3rd at Revolution, I’m coming to beat you for the AEW International Title, and I’ve been waiting eight long years for this rematch. And I can’t wait to break you. So good luck.”

Tony Schiavone was in the ring to interview “The Rated R Superstar” Adam Copeland!

Schiavone: “4-0 in the Cope Open, I want to tell you this, as far as top contenders are concerned, as we know, at Revolution Samoa Joe has the two top contenders to deal with in that three-way match. Copeland: “First off, if I had been at Dynamite, that wouldn’t have happened to Sting and Darby. So, Nicholas, Matthew, that’s a warning. Now you talked about the other championships that I can challenge for. There’s Christian Cage. There’s that TNT Championship that I won and had ripped out of my hands. So, I think you know where I’m leaning.”

Daniel Garcia’s music began to play, and Garcia came down to the ring.

Garcia: “Adam it sounds to me like you think you deserve a shot at the TNT title because you’ve been getting a lot of wins. And I could not agree with you more. I believe that championship opportunities should be rewarded through wins. But you’re not the only person that’s been picking up a lot of wins. Somebody else right in front of you has been on a hot streak. And I don’t mean any disrespect, but last week when I beat the Patriarchy, I looked at Christian Cage and saw that championship, and I thought maybe, just maybe I deserve a shot at the TNT title. The thing about me is I’ll fight through that line a million times over if it means I get to hold championship gold in AEW.”

Copeland: “Okay, and I can respect that. And you didn’t beat the Patriarchy by yourself. FTR helped you. But the FTR boys speak highly of you. And that’s enough for me. I respect you. But Daniel, if you’re saying you want a shot at the TNT Championship, I want a shot at the TNT Championship, I’ve got a proposal. Wednesday, Dynamite, you and I fight each other and the last man standing fights Christian. What do you say?”

Garcia: “I accept.”

Copeland: “Now I know you had a match tonight and that’s the only reason I’m not taking your face off right now. But make no mistake about it, you’re now threatening to take food off my family’s table, and that does not work for me. So, I am going to beat your ass next week.”

Renee Paquette was backstage with Willow Nightingale, Kris Statlander, and Stokely Hathaway!

Renee said she thought the addition of Stokely was working out for them, especially after their win last night against the Outcasts.

Stokely had words for Skye Blue and Julia Hart and said that there were only two bad asses that he knows in the AEW Women’s Division, and that’s the former TBS champion Kris Statlander and the first ever New Japan Strong Women’s champion Willow Nightingale. 

Willow said that she thought Skye would have been right there with them, but Skye chose a different path. Willow said that she and Skye had done a lot together, but they still hadn’t fought one another.

Mark Briscoe vs. The House of Black’s Brody King (with TBS Champion Julia Hart)!

Mark chopped away at Brody, but Brody hoisted up Mark and threw him half way across the ring. Brody blasted Briscoe with a cannonball in the corner. Brody followed up with a running senton for a near fall. 

Brody King battered Mark in the corner with a stiff chop and then a boot. Briscoe pulled Brody out of the ring. Mark jumped off the apron and nailed Brody with a neck breaker. Mark used a steel chair and launched himself off it to land on Brody with a tope con hiro!

Mark tried to pull a table out from beneath the ring, but the ref stopped him, admonishing Mark. Mark went for a plancha, but Brody caught him and slammed him onto a steel chair. Back in the ring, Brody planted Briscoe with a Bossman slam for a two-count.

Briscoe kicked Brody in the head, knocking Brody to the floor. Mark climbed to the top turnbuckle and connecting with a twisting moonsault, landing on his feet! Brody blocked a Death Valley Driver and then leveled Briscoe with a lariat!

Mark Briscoe climbed to the top, but Julia Hart jumped on the apron to distract Briscoe. Brody shoved Briscoe and sent Briscoe flying, crashing onto the table on the arena floor! Brody drilled Briscoe with a Gonzo Bomb and pinned Briscoe!

Brody held Mark back while Julia Hart hit Briscoe with a spike on the forehead! Mark was busted wide open!

“The Bounty Hunter” Bryan Keith was backstage with some strong words!

Keith: “It’s no secret that I’m all about my payday. So, when I came here to AEW, I’m looking to climb the ranks and collect my bounty, whether you’re good, bad, or ugly, you stand across the ring from me, you’d better be ready to pay up, sucker.”

“The Virtuosa” Deonna Purrazzo vs. Kiera Hogan!

Deonna Purrazzo yanked at Hogan’s arm. Kiera fired back with a hip attack. Deonna dodged a charging Kiera. Deonna went back to working on Kiera’s arm. Deonna drilled Hogan with a backstabber for a near fall. 

Hogan caught Deonna with a thrust kick. Deonna blocked a piledriver attempt. Deonna applied the Venus De Milo and Hogan had to submit verbally! 

AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm (with Mariah May & Luther the Butler) vs. Queen Aminata!

Toni had a headlock on Aminata. The Queen fought out of it and taunted Toni. Storm took down Queen Aminata with a Thesz Press. Toni Storm applied a full nelson. Toni Storm kicked Queen Aminata right in the face. Toni charged at Queen Aminata, but Aminata cradled Toni for a near fall!

Queen Aminata walloped Toni with a snap suplex. Toni spiked Aminata with a DDT but the challenger kicked out at the two-count. Queen Aminata retaliated with an Air Raid Crash for a near fall on the champ! “Timeless” Toni cracked Queen Aminata with a hip attack and then crunched Aminata with a piledriver for the pinfall victory!

Toni Storm: “Mister Schiavone, I know what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. But we’re in Henderson so stop looking at me like that. Darling, did you see that? Another fantastic technical show of brilliance. This week on Dynamite I will be releasing a brand new film!”

Main Event Time! AEW International Championship Match!

“Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy (c.) vs. “The Stone Pitbull” Tomohiro Ishii!

Ishii knocked Orange to the floor with a shoulder tackle. Ishii waffled Orange with chops to the chest!

“Orange Cassidy was freshly squeezed,” said Nigel.

Orange came back with a Stun Dog Millionaire and then a twisting DDT! Orange flew out of the ring with a tope suicida to Ishii. Orange spiked Ishii with another DDT for a two-count!

Orange jumped off the top rope and planted Ishii with a diving DDT! Orange stomped Ishii in the corner. Orange connected with a shotgun dropkick, but Ishii popped back up and pounced Orange!

The fans chanted “This is awesome! This is awesome!”

Ishii blasted Cassidy with an avalanche brain buster and covered Orange for a near fall! Orange fired up but collapsed to the mat. Orange got up and went for the Beach Break, but Ishii reversed it and countered with a powerbomb! Ishii went for a sliding lariat, but Orange dodged it and cradled Ishii for a near fall. 

Ishii headbutted Orange but Orange caught Ishii with an Orange Punch! Orange drilled Ishii with a Beach Break, but Ishii lifted his shoulder in the nick of time! Ishii nailed Orange with a dragon suplex. Ishii hit the sliding lariat, but Orange kicked out!

Ishii attempted the vertical brain buster, but Orange escaped! Orange decked Ishii with the Orange Punch! Ishii wouldn’t go down! Orange tried for another Orange Punch, but Ishii blocked it! Orange rolled up Ishii in a small package and pinned Ishii!

The Undisputed Kingdom surrounded the ring after the match! Taven and Bennett spiked Orange with a stuffed piledriver! Ishii sprinted back to the ring and the Undisputed Kingdom retreated! Trent came down with a steel chair as reinforcement!

AEW INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH…

Orange Cassidy(c) vs. “The Stone Pitbull” Tomohiro Ishii

Despite his date with Roderick Strong on March 3rd, Orange Cassidy still plans to be a fighting champion on the road to REVOLUTION 2024, willing to take on any competitor, be it friend or foe, enemy or ally. That’s why this Saturday night on COLLISION, the AEW International Champion will take on one of his CHAOS allies in “The Stone Pitbull” Tomohiro Ishii!

This seems to be a bit of an issue for Trent Beretta, though he hasn’t outright said it, but it’s not as if OC didn’t give Beretta an opportunity during his first International Championship reign, it’s not as if Ishii is the first friend Orange has fought over the title, Rocky Romero had one too. In fact, in the eyes of Cassidy, it seems like giving “The Stone Pitbull” a title shot is the right thing to do because of the times he’s been there for OC and The Best Friends. 

It’s difficult to say is the toughest challenge of Orange Cassidy’s second reign as champion, after all he went to battle with Claudio Castagnoli and Jon Moxley in his first month, but Ishii is certainly one of the toughest of either run with the International Title, certainly one of the hardest hitting who will not hesitate to blister Cassidy the way he blistered Chris Jericho in their ROH World Championship bout back on Thanksgiving Eve 2022. Cassidy is going to have to fight for every inch in this meeting on Saturday, and do his best to avoid a striking situation as Ishii’s hands are like stone. If nothing else, getting hit by those hands will at least prepare Cassidy for what it feels like to get chopped by Roderick Strong…

AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm vs. Queen Aminata

Queen Aminata has had numerous opportunities over the past several weeks to fight the best AEW has to offer, the likes of Thunder Rosa, Mariah May, Serena Deeb, and Willow Nightingale to name a few, and though she’s looked impressive in each, Aminata has yet to secure victory in AEW singles competition. Seventeen singles losses since her April 2021 debut, six of those in 2024, and no matter how much you may hear commentary and fans sing your praises, and discuss your strong suits in the ring, it becomes frustrating to be so close to breaking through.

But that doesn’t mean stop, that doesn’t mean lay down and die, that means keep fighting until there is no fight left in your body, keep fighting until you break through to that next level, keep fighting until you’re standing on top of that mountain and prove all that praise was well-deserved. That is the path of Queen Aminata at this point, that is her struggle, and this Saturday night she has the biggest opportunity of her AEW career because it will be AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm standing across the ring.

This may not be a championship bout or even an Eliminator fight, but it is still a match with the World Champion and that means a victory will garner headlines, earn respect, and prove Queen Aminata belongs among the elite. Toni has her focus on Deonna Purrazzo at the moment, and their impending championship fight at REVOLUTION 2024, meaning she may be ripe for the picking by another foe, meaning this could be Aminata’s opportunity to rise up the ranks with a quickness. Can she finally get the “W” that’s eluded her in AEW thus far?

(#1) Deonna Purrazzo vs. Kiera Hogan

What’s good for the goose is good for the gander; if Toni Storm is going to be in action against a top tier opponent to stay tuned up for REVOLUTION 2024, than so too will Deonna Purrazzo! That is why Saturday night on COLLISION, “The Virtuosa” will go one-on-one with “The Girl on Fire” Kiera Hogan for the first time since October 2016!

They’ve fought in a handful of matches since that victory by Deonna, four way and three ways and multi-woman affairs, but nothing one-on-one until this evening in Nevada. Though her championship challenge is set for March 3rd on pay-per-view, each time “The Virtuosa” steps into the ring, she is putting her title opportunity at risk, as well as that #1 spot in the rankings. If she loses to someone like Kiera Hogan who, though a supremely talented a competitor she may be, is not a ranked combatant, will it play against Deonna’s championship opportunity? Or does it simply serve to slide Hogan into a better position for the aftermath of REVOLUTION 204 should Purrazzo defeat Toni Storm?

However it plays out, Toni Storm better keep as close an eye on this one as Deonna will keep on Storm’s Saturday night fight!

TAG TEAM BATTLE…

Blackpool Combat Club (Claudio Castagnoli & Jon Moxley) vs. Esfinge & Star. Jr

Esfinge is the current Mexican National Light Heavyweight Champion, Star Jr. is a former CMLL World Trios Champion with Volador Jr. and Atlantis Jr., and together they make their in-ring debut for All Elite Wrestling on Saturday night! In what appears to be their first tag team bout (though they are quite versed in trios competition together) these two CMLL representatives will take on two of AEW’s best in Claudio Castagnoli and Jon Moxley!

Coming off a RAMPAGE where Mistico was victorious over Matt Sydal, but a DYNAMITE where The BCC defeated Hechicero, Mascara Dorada & Volador Jr., this fight marks the latest in the ever-escalating battle between The Blackpool Combat Club specifically, AEW as a whole, and the CMLL contingent. 

Thus far, with Danielson’s victory over Hechicero as well as the aforementioned win on DYNAMITE, The BCC hold dominance over the luchadors from CMLL, and this will be an interesting test as you’ve got a BCC duo that’s 9-1 as a team versus a first-time tag pairing, though Star Jr. and Esfinge’s experience as trios allies may prove a boon for this bout.

Can the CMLL duo score their units first victory over The Blackpool Combat Club, and prove themselves equals to “the elite of the elite”, as Moxley referred to his unit? Or will this be The BCC continue to prove why they are the most dominating force in professional wrestling today?

Mark Briscoe vs. The House of Black’s Brody King

Mark Briscoe had every intention of being there for FTR against The House of Black, and he was more than willing to step inside that Steel Cage in Daniel Garcia’s stead after the assault perpetrated on Garcia put his status in doubt. The House of Black had different idea though, and made sure the 13-time former ROH World Tag Champion was taken out of the equation before anyone set foot inside the cage.

But if The House thought that would be the end of Mark Briscoe in their life, well they’ve got another thing coming, and Brody King absolutely should’ve known better. See Mark and Brody are no stranger to each other, from Ring of Honor to GCW to the NWA, these two men have gone into battle in tag team situations, as well as trios, and have fought over several different championships. They’ve taken the measure of one another with partners at their side, and as a result of all that, Brody King should’ve known Mark Briscoe wasn’t just going to fade away; he should’ve know a fight was coming, and coming fast.

That fight is here this Saturday night on COLLISION when Mark Briscoe and Brody King lock up in their very first one-on-one match! Each man went through it in the Continental Classic, and now they step back into singles competition as Mark aims to bring the battle right to The House’s front door!

Daniel Garcia wants that TNT Championship, and even though he got the victory in the trios match last week, he’s going to need to build up his resume to get a shot at Christian Cage, and that begins this Saturday night on COLLISION with a fight against Shane Taylor!

Taylor, along with Lee Moriarty, are primed to ascend up the AEW ladder and take the respect they feel they’re owed. We all saw it with the fight they gave The Blackpool Combat Club, and Shane Taylor will throw those same blows at Daniel Garcia in their impending one-on-one battle! It’s a huge opportunity for both men to assert themselves in the singles ranks, a realm in which both previously had championship success under the ROH banner, but neither have managed to be a title holder in All Elite Wrestling as of yet.

Who will step up in the ranks on COLLISION, and who will be left frustrated in defeat?

AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy, Rocky Romero, & Trent Beretta

vs.

Undisputed Kingdom—ROH World Tag Champions Matt Taven & Mike Bennett, and Roderick Strong (with Adam Cole & Wardlow)!

Best Friends charged at the Undisputed Kingdom as the Undisputed Kingdom made their entrance. They were furious over Undisputed Kingdom for injuring Chuck Taylor. 

Bennett booted Trent in the face. Trent jumped on Bennett, squashing him with double knees to the sternum. Taven tagged in and Rocky and Trent rocked Taven with stereo knee strikes. Trent followed up with a sliding knee for a near fall. 

Roderick grabbed a blind tag, but Trent tossed Roddy with a German Suplex. Roddy pulled Trent off the turnbuckles and nailed Trent with a backbreaker. Taven and Bennett double teamed Trent in their corner. 

“Great tag team continuity by Taven and Bennett,” said Excalibur.

Orange tagged in and cleaned house on Taven and Bennett. Orange planted Taven with a DDT and smashed Bennett with a Stun Dog Millionaire. Bennett blindsided Orange with a spinebuster. Cassidy connected with a thrust kick on Taven. Orange was looking for the Orange Punch, but Taven knocked Orange’s block off with a kick of his own!

Roderick Strong distracted the ref while Bennett blasted Orange with a low blow. Taven jumped off the top turnbuckle while Bennett held Orange and they pulped Orange with a stuffed piledriver. 

Rocky was the legal man now, and he took flight, rocketing out of the ring and wiping out Bennett and Taven with a tope suicida. Rocky rocked Bennett with the Sliced Bread! Taven cut off Rocky’s flurry with a boot to the midsection. Romero took Taven down to the mat with a hurracanrana. 

Rocky smashed Taven and Bennett with the Forever Clotheslines. Roddy came in with a blindside knee and then decimated Rocky with the End of Heartache backbreaker. Taven covered Rocky and scored the pin!

The Undisputed Kingdom set up chairs in the ring and Roddy planted Rocky right onto the chairs with the End of Heartache! Trent and Orange chased the Undisputed Kingdom out of the ring. 

“Adding insult to injury, that was completely uncalled for by Roderick Strong,” said Excalibur.

The Young Bucks—Nicholas & Matthew Jackson vs. Mondo Rox & Robbie Lit!

Matthew seized on Robbie Lit, stomping him in the corner. Matthew bulldozed Robbie with a lariat. Nicholas tagged in and the Bucks used a backbreaker-neck breaker combo on Robbie.

Mondo got a tag and Nicholas kicked Mondo with a low blow as Matthew was distracting the referee. The Young Bucks smashed Mondo with the EVP Trigger and Matthew pinned Mondo!

Nicholas: “I am so tired of the disrespect that each and every one of you fans show us. I heard a heckler in the front row calling us by the wrong name. It’s time to show your EVPs a little more respect! Call us by our God-given names of Nicholas and Matthew Jackson!”

Matthew: “I apologize my brother is a bit of a hothead. Listen! Listen! The reason we’re out here in the first place is to say congratulations to AEW’s new Tag Team Champions Darby Allin and Sting! Incredible match! You’re putting your blood, sweat and tears on the line. You’ll be great champions but there is one caveat. I got an email, an injury report from Doc Sampson and apparently both Darb and Sting are a little bit banged up coming out of their big win. So, we just wanted to say we’re thinking about you guys, we’re praying for you guys, and we hope you’re ok. 

“However, boys I want to make one thing clear. Our objective is to get our tag team titles back! And you may be looking at us and saying, ‘Oh, but you’re EVPs and you’re going to politic to do whatever it takes to do that!’ No, no, no. We’re going to play by the rules, climb up the rankings, and have competitive matches just like we did tonight on Rampage! We will get ranked, we will be number one contenders, and we will get our belts! And we’ll continue to climb up those rankings on Wednesday when you see Nicholas and Matthew Jackson, your EVPs in tag team action! We love you guys so much! Let’s have a killer show!”

“Tony Khan has just informed me that on Wednesday night on Dynamite Nicholas and Matthew will have some top flight competition when they face Dante and Darius Martin!” said Excalibur.

CMLL’s Mistico (with Esfinge & Star Jr.)  vs. Matt Sydal!

Sydal and Mistico chain wrestled to start the match, exchanging a flurry of offense and going move for move with one another. Mistico hit Sydal with a tope suicida. Sydal jumped back in the ring and caught off Mistico’s momentum with a kick. 

Matt Sydal placed Mistico in a bow and arrow submission. Sydal followed up with a senton splash. Mistico caught Sydal off guard with a crossbody press. 

“This has been a back and forth battle,” said Excalibur.

Sydal caught Mistico in the face with a jumping knee strike. Sydal landed an Air Raid Crash for a near fall on Mistico. Mistico tried for a moonsault press but Sydal got the boots up, countering it! Sydal charged Mistico but Mistico walloped Sydal with a powerslam! Mistico hit a Spanish Fly on Sydal off the top rope and pinned Sydal!

“That was a desperation move by Mistico but man, it worked!” said Tony Schiavone. 

Renee Paquette was backstage with Prince Nana and “The Machine” Brian Cage!

Brian Cage: “HOOK thinks he can hit me in the back with a chair and get away with it like a hit-and-run? Not today! I’m looking for HOOK. Where is he? Coincidentally, he’s not here. Of course he’s not here. He doesn’t want to feel the rage of Cage on Rampage.”

Prince Nana: “You know what? I think HOOK is at home reading a book because that’s what he needs to do instead of running around town hitting people with chairs in the back. Prince Nana knows how that feels. It happened to me on Wednesday, Renee.”

Cage: “Big deal, HOOK, you beat two guys the other night. I could beat two guys any day of the week. I could do that tomorrow. As a matter of fact, let’s do that on Collision. Any two sloppy Joes in the locker room that want to face me, come on down.”

As Ruby was making her entrance on the ramp, she noticed there was a note scribbled on a piece of paper that was inside the pocket of her leather jacket. 

Stokely Hathaway joined the broadcast booth for this match.

Kris took down Saraya with a side headlock. Statlander hit a dropkick. Willow and Ruby came in for their respective teams and Willow rocked Ruby with a Russian Leg Sweep. Willow followed up with a fisherman’s suplex. Statlander shoulder tackled Ruby, slammed her, and followed up with a sliding lariat. 

Willow splashed Ruby in the corner. Willow climbed to the top turnbuckle. Harley grabbed Willow’s ankle and then Saraya shoved Ruby to the mat! Statlander tagged in and took Ruby off her feet with a powerslam. 

Ruby and Saraya double teamed Statlander. Willow charged in to make the save but Saraya grabbed her and shoved her through the ropes. Saraya cracked Kris with a running knee strike and went for the cover, but Willow broke it up just in time. 

Statlander clubbed Saraya with a discus lariat. Ruby rocked Statlander with the No Future kick! Ruby held Willow and Saraya went to strike Willow, but Willow escaped, forcing Saraya to inadvertently strike Ruby! Willow walloped Saraya and Ruby with a double clothesline. 

Saraya and Kris traded forearms in the center of the ring. Statlander blasted Saraya with a massive roundhouse kick. Statlander planted Saraya with a Blue Thunder Bomb for a near fall! Saraya caught Kris off guard with a jawbreaker. Saraya went for the tag, but Ruby refused, turning her back and jumping off the apron, leaving Saraya in the lurch. 

“Tony, I wonder if that note that Ruby was reading had anything to do with this?”

Harley grabbed Ruby and tried to stop Ruby from walking away. Ruby turned around and decked Harley!

“Ruby Soho finally standing up for herself to Saraya,” said Excalibur.

Willow power bombed a shocked Saraya and pinned her!

After the match Stokely celebrated with both Kris and Willow!

Skye Blue appeared in the aisle, smirked, and waved at Kris and Willow. The arena lights went dark! 

“What is going on here?” wondered Excalibur.

The lights came back on, and TBS Champion Julia Hart was standing beside Skye Blue! They were staring at Willow and Kris, taunting them as Julia held up her title.

AEW Dynamite Results for February 7, 2024

Tonight’s episode of AEW DYNAMITE was broadcast live from the Footprint Center in Phoenix, AZ!

Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, and “The Human Suplex Machine” Taz were the broadcast team for tonight’s event.

It’s Wednesday night and you know what that means!

Winner earns Revolution 2024 World Title Match!

Swerve Strickland (#1 ranked) (with Prince Nana) vs. “Hangman” Adam Page (#2 ranked)!

Page slapped Swerve in the face. Swerve swept out Page’s legs. They tussled to the outside. Swerve whipped Page into the barricade. Swerve jumped over the barricade and crashed onto Page on the arena floor. 

Back in the ring, Page chopped at Swerve’s chest. Swerve fired back with a high boot, catching Hangman flush in the face. Swerve stomped Page in the corner. Hangman retaliated with a fallaway slam. Page was a bit ticked off by the live crowd’s reaction to him, who were about 90% behind Swerve tonight.

Swerve climbed to the top turnbuckle, but Page yanked out Swerve’s legs. Page grounded and pounded Swerve on the mat. Swerve flattened out Page and locked him in a crucifix hold. Swerve was looking to snap Page’s arm. Hangman countered and clubbed Swerve in the back of Swerve’s head. Page rammed Swerve into the top turnbuckle and Swerve tumbled to the arena floor. Prince Nana kept his distance, just like Swerve had told him to do.

Hangman hurled Swerve into the barricade. Hangman nailed Swerve with a fallaway slam on the floor. Page blasted Swerve with a sliding kick in the ring. Page rolled up Swerve for a near fall. Page was looking for the buckshot lariat, but Swerve charged him. Page backdropped Swerve onto the floor. Swerve hit a flatliner on Page out of nowhere. Swerve drilled Page with a diving uppercut.

Swerve planted Hangman with a vertical suplex. Swerve connected with the House Call for a near fall. 

“That was so close,” said Taz.

“And Swerve has wrestled a smart match tonight all without the help of Prince Nana,” added Excalibur.

Swerve was looking for a superplex, but Hangman chomped down on Swerve’s forehead. Page went for a sunset flip powerbomb, but Swerve landed on his feet! Swerve cracked Page with a kick to the head. Page rallied back with a pop-up powerbomb for a two-count on Swerve. 

The fans chanted “This is awesome! This is awesome!”

Swerve avoided a buckshot lariat from Page and fired back with his own buckshot lariat! Swerve splashed Page with the Swerve Stomp, but Page kicked out at the two-count! Swerve was looking for a piledriver on the barricade, but Hangman countered with a DDT!

Both men knocked one another down with big stereo boots—both men had the same idea. Swerve laughed at Page as Page was hitting him with fists. Swerve rocked Page with a backbreaker for a near fall. Swerve pounced on Page with the Swerve Stomp. Swerve pulled a table out from beneath the ring and set it up. Swerve went for a 450 splash, but Page countered by raising his knees! Justin Roberts announced five minutes remained. Page nearly decapitated Swerve with the buckshot lariat! Page covered Swerve but Swerve got his boot on the bottom rope to stop the ref’s count!

Hangman crushed Swerve with the Dead Eye on the apron! Page dropkicked Swerve as Swerve was getting back into the ring. Page cracked Prince Nana with a steel chair. Page yelled at Nana to stay out of this! When Page turned back around, Swerve pump kicked the steel chair into Page’s face!

Swerve smashed Page with the Swerve Stomp. Swerve’s ankle buckled upon landing. Hangman reversed the JML Driver and then snapped at Swerve’s ankle. On the apron, Page was thinking dragon screw leg whip, but Swerve kicked him first. Swerve hoisted up Page and planted him through the table outside the ring with the deadeye!

Swerve climbed to the top turnbuckle and went for the Swerve Stomp, but Page dodged it and Swerve collapsed immediately, his injured ankle not able to support the landing. Swerve countered the buckshot lariat from Page with the JML Driver! 

“Swerve’s ankle is hurting, though, he can’t cover!” said Tony Schiavone.

Swerve went for the cover and the ref counted 1…2…and the bell rang!

Justin Roberts announced that the time limit expired, and the match went to a time limit draw!

Swerve: “No, no, I didn’t go through all this just for this to end like this. Hangman, I’m not letting you get away with this so easily. You know how this goes. Five more minutes.”

Page was smiling.

Page: “Swerve, tonight you had to beat me to become the number one contender. And Swerve, you didn’t do it! You will not be the World champion! For you, it is over!”

Tony Schiavone: “Hang on one minute. Tony Khan has just talked with me. This is not done. Because we know have two number one contenders. And that means at Revolution, there will be a three way match for the World title against Samoa Joe!”

Renee Paquette was backstage to interview AEW World Champion Samoa Joe!

Samoa Joe: “I cannot believe I am dealing with this right now! Once again, we celebrate mediocrity! This was a draw! The powers-that-be have stacked the deck against me and they don’t want me as champion, but it is not your choice!

“I am Samoa Joe. I am the AEW World Champion! No matter what you do, come Revolution I walk out AEW World Champion. It is only a shame that the both of you will suffer because of it!”

Eliminator Match!

AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm (with Luther & Mariah May)

vs. Red Velvet!

“The Virtuosa” Deonna Purrazzo joined the broadcast booth for this match.

Toni took down Red Velvet with a side headlock. Velvet fired back with a leg lariat. Storm jumped on Red Velvet and pummeled her with lefts and rights. Toni planted Red Velvet with the Sky High for a near fall.

Red Velvet blasted Toni with a big time bulldog. Velvet rocked Toni with a double knee strike. Red Velvet splashed Toni with a standing moonsault for a near fall. Toni tripped Red Velvet and then smashed her with a hip attack. Toni spiked Red Velvet with a DDT for a near fall.

Toni ducked a corkscrew kick from Red Velvet. Toni applied an ankle lock and forced Red Velvet to tap out! Toni would not release the ankle lock. Deonna got in the ring, but Luther separated the two of them!

Renee Paquette was backstage with AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy, Trent, and Rocky Romero!

Renee asked them about their trios match on Rampage against the Undisputed Kingdom, and if Orange was worried about the wear and tear on his body he might have from that match ahead of his Collision match against Ishii. Orange said “yeah, but it’ll be fine.” Orange said they were going to check on the injured Chuck Taylor now, but Rocky would be subbing for Chuck on Rampage. 

Trios Match!

Blackpool Combat Club—Bryan Danielson, Claudio Castagnoli, & Jon Moxley

vs.

CMLL’s Hechicero, Mascara Dorada, & Volador Jr.!

Hechicero took down Danielson with a shoulder tackle. Hechicero put Danielson into a crucifix cradle for a near fall. Claudio tagged in and Dorada fired an overhand chop. Claudio tripped Dorado and planted him hard. 

Moxley and Volador Jr tagged in for their respective teams. They traded forearm strikes. Volador took down Mox with a hurracanrana and followed up with a tope suicida. Moxley retaliated with a tope suicida of his own!

Claudio hurled Volador in the Giant Swing! Mox tagged in and covered Volador, but Volador kicked out at the two-count. Volador connected with a thrust kick. Dorado launched off Moxley and clobbered Danielson with a corkscrew kick. Volador and Hechicero connected with stereo topes on the BCC and then Dorado followed up with a shooting star press off the middle rope to the outside!

The fans chanted “This is awesome! This is awesome!”

Hechicero spiked Danielson with a backbreaker and then Dorado followed up with a 450 splash for a near fall! Volador rocked Mox with a backstabber, but Danielson was there to hit Volador with a running knee strike!

Hechicero and Claudio exchanged strikes. Hechicero placed Claudio in a leg lock. Danielson stomped on Hechicero until Hechicero released Claudio. Hechicero placed Danielson in the stretched muffler. Moxley kicked Hechicero in the ribs to break it up. Moxley clobbered Dorada and Volador with a stereo clothesline. Claudio blasted Hechicero with a massive European Uppercut. Hechicero retaliated with a guillotine leg drop for a near fall!

Claudio shoved Hechicero backwards and Hechicero inadvertently collided into the ref who was standing behind him. Claudio struck Hechicero with a low blow while the ref was still collecting himself. Claudio covered Hechicero and scored the pin!

“The luchadores at ringside are just livid,” said Tony Schiavone.

Mistico, Esfinge and Star Jr. jumped into the ring! Christopher Daniels, Matt Sydal, Angelo Parker and Matt Menard sprinted down to even up the odds for the BCC! The luchadores retreated! 

Backstage, a camera crew caught the Undisputed Kingdom assaulting Chuck Taylor!

Adam Cole rolled up in his wheelchair and said, “Get well soon, Chuck!”

“We need to get some medical attention for Chuck Taylor! What is the meaning of this?” asked Excalibur.

AEW CEO & GM Tony Khan had a major announcement!

“Like so many of you, I am excited by tonight’s big announcement. You might have heard earlier today that the TD Garden announced AEW is returning to Boston on March 13th! That will be a very important night for AEW and the entire pro wrestling industry because Wednesday, March 13th, five weeks from tonight will be AEW: Big Business, live in Boston. You’re not going to want to miss this show. Tickets go on sale this Saturday. The event takes place five weeks from tonight, and if you can’t join us live in Boston, you’re going to want to join us right here on TBS on March 13th because Big Business is going to be one of the most important nights ever in AEW and a night that the entire pro wrestling industry will remember.”

Chris Jericho vs. The Don Callis Family’s Konosuke Takeshita!

Jericho sent Takeshita over the top rope with a lariat. Hobbs and Callis approached Takeshita and Callis slapped Takeshita in the face, showing him some tough love. Takeshita whipped Jericho into the barricade. Takeshita nailed Jericho with a brain buster on the arena floor!

Takeshita splashed Jericho with a senton in the ring. “The Alpha” hit the Takeshita Line on Jericho. Hobbs swiped at Jericho’s leg and Takeshita struck Jericho from behind. Sammy Guevara clocked Hobbs with a steel chair from out of nowhere!

Hobbs grabbed the chair from Sammy and threw it down. Sammy used his quickness and jumped off the ring steps and delivered a cutter to Hobbs! Sammy struck Hobbs with the steel chair again. Inside the ring, Jericho dodged a jumping knee strike from Takeshita. Jericho dropkicked Takeshita from the turnbuckles. Jericho jumped off the turnbuckles and crash landed on Takeshita outside the ring. 

Takeshita flattened Jericho with a fireman’s carry. Takeshita ran and flipped over the top rope and wiped out Jericho outside the ring! Jericho countered Takeshita’s senton by raising his knees. Jericho went for a lionsault, but Takeshita likewise got the knees up to counter it!

Takeshita flung Jericho backwards with a wheelbarrow suplex. Jericho countered the Takeshita Line with the Code Breaker for a near fall! Jericho went for the lionsault, but Takeshita grabbed him and spiked Jericho with a Blue Thunder Bomb, but Jericho kicked out at the two-count. Jericho positioned himself on the top turnbuckle and was punching down on Takeshita. Takeshita slipped under and pulled Jericho’s face into the turnbuckle! Takeshita rocked Jericho with an avalanche blue thunder bomb! Jericho kicked out just in time!

Takeshita connected with the power drive knee. Jericho countered a second knee strike attempt with the Walls of Jericho! Don Callis threw a steel chair into the ring, but the ref saw it and grabbed it. As the ref had his back turned, throwing the chair out of the ring, Don Callis jumped on the apron and blasted Jericho in the head with a screwdriver! Takeshita applied the lion tamer on Jericho, but Jericho refused to give up! Jericho tried to reach the ropes, but Takeshita pulled Jericho to the center of the ring and finally Jericho was forced to tap!

“I have never seen anyone beat Chris Jericho with the Lion Tamer!” said Excalibur.

“Me neither! That was so impressive,” replied Taz.

Main Event Time! AEW World Tag Team Championship Tornado Match!

“Absolute” Ricky Starks & Big Bill (c.) vs. Darby Allin & Sting!

Big Bill whipped Darby into the barricade right in front of Sting’s family. Sting brawled with Starks through the crowd. Sting slammed a trash can onto Starks’ back. Darby lured Big Bill and Starks closer to him…and Sting jumped off a balcony and wiped out the tag champs beneath him!

“I can’t believe what we just saw,” said Excalibur.

Sting splashed Big Bill against the barricade! Big Bill fired back with a clubbing strike. Darby rocketed out of the ring like a missile, but Big Bill caught him and planted him with the Bossman Slam!

Big Bill bounced Darby’s head against the mat! Big Bill hurled Darby overhead and behind him! Big Bill pulled out a table from beneath the ring. Starks told Big Bill to press slam Darby. Big Bill lifted Darby up, but Sting charged in, knocking Starks and sending him colliding into Big Bill. 

“Sting saved the day there,” said Taz.

“Darby narrowly averting disaster,” replied Excalibur.

Sting took on Big Bill and Starks, dishing out big right hands to the champs! Starks grabbed Sting from behind and spiked him with the Scorpion Death Drop! Starks covered Sting but Darby broke up the pin!

“Great save by Darby Allin,” said Taz.

Darby nailed Big Bill with a Coffin Splash in the corner. Sting followed up with the Stinger Splash! Darby decimated Big Bill with a Code Red! Darby hit the Coffin Drop on Big Bill outside the ring! Starks tried for a dropkick on Sting, but Sting stopped in his tracks, avoiding it. Sting applied the Scorpion Death Lock on Starks! Big Bill, with Darby Allin on his back, climbed onto the apron, attempting to break up Sting’s finisher. Darby turned around, gouged Big Bill’s eyes, and forced Big Bill to fall off the apron and through the table!

“Big Bill was driven through the table by Darby,” said Excalibur.

Starks crawled and grabbed the ropes, but there are no rope breaks in a Tornado Match! Starks was able to pull his body far enough under the ropes that Sting lost his grip. Sting went for the Stinger Splash, but Starks moved, ripping the buckle pad out of the way! Sting collided with the exposed turnbuckle! Starks speared Sting but Sting managed to kick out at the two-count!

Starks went for another spear, but Sting caught Starks! Sting drilled Starks with a Scorpion Death Drop and pinned Starks!

And new AEW World Tag Team Champions…Darby Allin and Sting!

“History has been made!” said Tony Schiavone.

Sting’s sons got into the ring to congratulate their father!

“He’s got gold again!” said Tony Schiavone.

The Young Bucks—Mattew and Nicholas Jackson, ambushed Sting and Darby Allin with white baseball bats! They assaulted Sting’s sons next! 

“They stole the spotlight from the new Tag Team champions and are putting the beating on them,” said Taz.

The Bucks smashed a busted open Darby with the BTE Trigger!

“Tony, Matthew called me into their office earlier today and said it is now called the EVP Trigger,” said Excalibur.

Matthew held Sting back while Nicholas hit Sting with the bat! Nicholas punted Sting in the head! The Young Bucks grabbed the belts and tossed them on top of Darby and Sting.

“The Young Bucks, like it or not, made a heavy statement right now,” said Taz.

“This is beyond the pale. Nicholas and Matthew Jackson will never recover from what went down tonight. Their reputation is destroyed,” said Excalibur.
